i reach for my jumper that fell onto the floor but ross grabs my opposite wrist and pulls me back up
"kenzie? is that what i think it is?" he frowns
"i uh-
i cant get my words out
"what? why?" he raised his voice a little
i didn't want this to happen, not here.
"can you keep your voice down please" i feel my eyes water slightly
"i'm sorry, can you please talk to me" he take a deep breath
i knew that i probably shouldn't, but i needed to be honest for him to trust me, and i needed to trust him.
i leaned back onto him as he wrapped his arms around my waist
"my bestfriend back in colorado, she died from a hit and run" i said rather fast
"what, when?" he whispered
"i don't know, it was a few years ago, i was 13" i whispered back
"you were 13 when you did this?" he said referring to my arm
i nod slightly trying to not make a big deal out of it
"do your siblings know?" he furrows his eyebrows
"yes, i told my mum one day and she moved us out here to california, that's when i moved to your school" i gulped
"kenzie-i-i'm so sorry" he whispered
"it's fine, i got bullied a lot back then, when she...you know" i shrugged
"i'm so sorry baby" he said as he sat up leaving me in his arms still
"thank you" i smile back at him
he leaned to side slightly so he could face me, i gave him a weak smile and he returned it, he brought his hand up to my face and rubbed my cheek slightly before leaning in and pressing his lips against mine, i kissed him back with as much passion i could
the kiss got heated pretty quick, ross pulled me onto his lap slightly, i put my hands on his face as he poked my lips for entrance, i allowed him but we got cut of shortly after
"WERE HERE!" max shouts causing everyone to wake up
i climb of ross' lap and back into my own seat, he grabs my hand and brings it up to his lips giving it a small kiss before smiling at me
i return it as i grab my jumper from the floor and put it over my head
max pulled up the house as he turned the engine off and jumped out, everyone started to pile out the door to the hot american sun
"ahh" ross said as he stepped outside
the wind was strong but relaxing at the same time
i climbed out behind ross and stretched
"someone help me with the bags" max shouts
"i will" ellington offers
"me too" riker shrugs
as they head over to the back to empty the trunk i walk over to ross stretching, i wrap my arms around his chest whilst his arms are in the air
he brings them down and wraps them around my waist whilst letting a laugh escape him mouth
"thank you" i laugh a little
he squeezed me tighter as he pulled away and kissed my head
"i'm gonna go unlock the door" i smile at him
he nods as i head over to the door with ryland and mason behind me
i put the key in and twisted it opening the door to reveal the house exactly how we left it the last time we came here with mum and dad
saying that, i should probably message my parents
i pull my phone out from my legging waistband and message my mum
me - just got to the beach house, the drive was okay, miss you! <3
mum❤️ - aw i'm glad! how was the traffic?
me - the worst, we were meant to get here at 3 last night, it's now 7am
i glare at the time at the top of my phone
mum❤️ - pain in the ass! have fun <3
me - you too!
i slid my phone back into my waistband and before i knew it everyones luggage was inside, it was my birthday tomorrow and i'm not gonna lie i was so excited but i'm not sure
"wooo!" rocky shouts as he opened the back door to the beach
"i've missed it here" maddie says
"me too" i reply nodding
i feel someone's arms go around my waist, i tilt my head up to see ross smiling down at me
i kissed his arm and placed my arms over his on my waist
"what we doing today then?" riker says as he sits down on the sofa
"i mean, i'm still tired, but later we can head to the beach? for some drinks" rocky shrugs
"maybe" ryland says as he dragged his suitcase out of the way
"we should unpack and then probably sleep" i say looking up at ross
he nods before i pull away and grab my bag that hung over my suitcase and pulled it into my room, this place was huge, it had many many rooms, my parents room is where max and riker would be sleeping, it had a huge king size bed so they wouldnt be on top of eachother
the second biggest room we agreed that rydel and ellington could have because they had gotten pretty close
the other ones were all the same size, i headed to my normal room which me and ross would share, maddie and ryland shared another room with two single beds, and rocky and mason would share but i'm pretty sure when megan turned up mason would be somewhere else no doubt
i opened the door to my room to find it perfect. just how i left it. i heard someone running towards me so i quickly shoved my bags to the side and moved as ross jumped onto my bed making the perfect sheets crease underneath him
"ross!!" i shout
"sorry, had to" he mumbled in the bed
i roll my eyes and shut my door before unzipping my suitcase, who knows how long we were staying for;but i hope it was good
i sat on the floor cross legged whilst ross was emptying his bag, i put my clothes into separate piles folded on the floor and my other random stuff like shampoo into another pile before zipping my suitcase up and sliding it under my bed
i jump up from the floor and rush over to ross, i grab him and pull him into a huge hug, do i know why? nope. but it sure did feel good
he laughed in my neck before pulling away to look at me
"what was that for?" he laughed slightly
i shrugged. "had a feeling"
"well...i loved it" he said as he raised his eyebrows slowly
"sure sure" i laughed
it went silent for a moment before i pulled away and went to go finish unpacking when i forgot something, i ran back over to ross and gave him a quick peck before running back over to the bathroom to finish putting my stuff away

around 30 minutes had gone by and ross had just finished putting his clothes away, he layed down next to me on the bed and turned the tiny tv on and went to netflix, it was around 8am by this point and i kept feeling my eyes getting heavier and heavier
i layed down fully as i felt ross pull the cover over my shoulder, i smile when i felt the bed dip, he lays next to me and wraps his arms around me, i lift my head slightly and lay on his shoulder as he strokes my back making me fall straight asleep.

i woke up to the room being lighter than before, the sun was beaming through my window. i sit a little before turning to my right to find ross stretched out on his stomach, this time it wasn't on me at least
i tap his shoulder a little to get no response, i shrugged it off before walking to my bathroom and washing my face, i brushed through my hair that had been in the same bun for hours
i turn the shower on and undress before stepping in, i washed the bubbles out my hair, i stepped out and wrapped a towel around my chest and started getting ready for the day
i did my normal routine before throwing my dressing gown on and headed out to my bedroom to see ross sat on the bed scrolling through his phone
"hey, i didn't know you were awake" i smile as i walk over to my draws
"i just woke up"
i turn around after grabbing a cute navy blue dress that was crossed over at the top, i matched it with some converse before heading to the bathroom to change
"i'm changing, get ready" i smile as ross quickly before running over to the toilet, i throw my clothes on the seat and undo my dressing down
i change into my dress and slip some socks on along with my converse, i turn my curling iron on and do some makeup whilst i wait for it to heat up
once it was heated i did light curls in my hair and left it down
"you look beautiful" i heard ross say from the doorway
i turn in shock to see him leaning against the door frame
"how long have you been there?" i said as i switch my curling iron off
"not that long"
i turn around and walk over to him as i placed my hands on his crossed arms
"thank you" i whisper as i leant a little closer to him
"it's nothing" he whispered back as he uncrossed his arms and placed his hands on my cheeks
"you need to get ready" i whisper as he inches closer to my face
he looks down at my lips and back up to my eyes. "i know"
i placed my hands on his chest as he pushed his lips gently into mine, we stayed there for a few moments before pulling away
"and i want you to pick my outfit" he whispered still inches away from my face
i looked back in shock "you what now?"
"it'll be cuteee" he laughs extending the 'e'
"i'll go get it" i smiled before giving him a quick peck
i ran to the draws and pulled out some navy blue shorts that matched the colour on my dress and a white top, i grabbed his black converse and some clean socks and boxers before running back to the bathroom
"here!" i smiled as i threw his clothes on the shut toilet seat
"someone's excited" he laughed as he started brushing his teeth
"very...i'm gonna go get some breakfast" i shrug
he nods as i walk out and head over to the kitchen, i step in slightly before seeing rydel and ellington kissing on the couch
i step back immediately and hide behind the wall
"what are you doing?" i heard riker laugh, then i heard a door slam
"shh" i said turning around with one finger over my lip
he gives me a 'what's going on' kinda look, i grab his shirt and pull him next to me
"see" i whisper as i nod towards the two
"well, that's lovely" he says awkwardly
"what do we do?" i furrow my eyebrows
"i've got an idea" he smiled at me before walking away to his door
he opened it and shut it again before shouting "who's ready!!"
that's definitely got their attention
i ross my eyebrows at riker with a smile before walking back out to the kitchen to see rydel and ellington sat next to eachother on their phones
"meee!!" i shout as i grab a box of cereal from the cupboard
we have literally no food.
"we need some food" maddie whines as she sat at the kitchen island
"why doesn't mason and ryland go food shopping" riker suggested
"ha, i agree" rydel laughed
shortly after i had poured my cereal and my milk i made my way over to the single chair in the living room
"so guys, how are you" i said wriggling my eyebrows
"fine..." elliot said awkwardly
"cool, cool, what's new?" i say as i ate my cereal
"nothing" elliot laughs
"mhm, well i'm gonna be honest, i don't have a new secret boyfriend, what about you" i said rather fast
they gave eachother a look before laughing awkwardly
"you didn't see that did you?" rydel sits up
"yeah we did"
"all of you?!" she raised her eyebrows
"nope, only me and riker, i think, but you two are cute!! there's so point hiding it" i shrug
she gives me a sad smile before laying back into the couch
"who's ready to partayyy" mason says walking out his room
"it's not a party" maddie laughs
"let me have my moment" he frowned
shortly after i was just finishing my breakfast when ross walked out
"hey bro" riker said pulling ross into do their handshake
he whispered something into rikers ear as they both laughed
what did he say?
ross walked over to me and gave my cheek a kiss before literally sitting on my lap
my bowl that had just milk in it by now falls on the floor as everyone gasps
"ross!!" i shout
"i'm sorry" he frowned
i gave him an angry look before he stood up, he picked me up and sat me on top of his lap on the chair
"your cleaning that" elliot laughs
"i know" ross shrugs
