43 - A Broken Dam Of Sand

It is over before it even properly begins.

One moment I’m waiting to be bit by Ravenna’s steel, the next moment I hear the thuclank! of her scythe falling down.

I open eyes to see what appears to be a huge, jagged white teeth right through Ravenna’s face. It has pierced her from the back of her head, and sheared its way to the front, tearing off half her nose and all of her wicked, inverted smile.

Sand pours out of her like water from a broken damn.

She’s gone.
