Y/n's pov
Tears sting in my eyes. I'm just so frustrated over Zoe. I pull my covers tightly over my head. I feel Chloe get up and get off my bed and some mumbling coming from the other girls. The light shuts off and I let out a sigh as the tears fall down my cheeks. I feel guilty about shouting at her but she was just being a bitch. I let out a sniffle.
"Y/n come down here" I hear Chloe say. I clamber down the ladder and see she's sitting up on her bed. "Let's go talk" She says as she stands up and slips on her slippers. We walk outside the door into the freezing cold.
"Is everything okay?" Chloe asks me. "Yeah it's fine I'm just stressed about Zoe I'm sorry" I say wiping the tears away from my eyes.
"Come here" She says as she pulls me into a hug. We stand there hugging for a while until I let go.
"I'm just sick of Zoe controlling what I can and can't do with Noah it's such bullshit." I tell her. "I get you, we've had to put up with her for 7 years. It's a pain" Chloe says laughing. "You've been here for 7 years in a row?!" I exclaim. "Yup, it's like home here" she says.
"Then how do you put up with Zoe?" I ask her.
"Well I try to ignore her but that doesn't work out, so I just put her in her place. Like you did."
"Was I not a bit harsh?" I ask her. "It's not the worst I've heard someone say to her, plus she was pissing you and Noah off" Chloe says "I do feel bad for her though. Her parents barely pay any attention and just buy her what she wants instead of talking about her problems."
"Oh that's tough, I had no idea" I say, kinda feeling guilty about what just happened. "That's not your fault" Chloe says.
"I was just so mad about her going on and on about me and Noah, like why can't i date who I want to date?" I say.
"Tell me about it, she did that to me 3 years ago, she stole my first boyfriend and I was so mad" Chloe says.
"What did you do?" I ask her.
"Well I screamed a bit, and then tried to slap her but Olivia held me back. And then I screamed at her more" she says. We both burst out laughing.
"Well I don't care what she thinks about me and-" I say but then I see three boys running at us.
"Noah?!" I call out.
Brandon, Liam and Noah rush up to us. "Have you guys seen Zach?" Brandon says. "No? We haven't seen him anywhere why?" Chloe replies.
"We can't find him anywhere. We checked all around our cabin and he's nowhere to be seen" Liam explains.
"Is zoe in there?" Noah asks. "Yeah" I reply.
"Great so he's not with Zoe, then where can he be?" Brandon complains. "With another girl i don't know" noah says rolling his eyes.
"It's almost 4 in the morning. Even Noah and y/n would be back by then" Chloe say as I punch her in the arm. "Hey!" She says.
"Yeah but this is Zach we're talking about. He could be anywhere" Liam says.
"Let's go inside it's freezing" I say shivering. We all walk into our cabin. Ali,Jess, Ronnie and Olivia all wake up confused. Abbie and Zoe are still in the bathroom.
"Zach is missing. We can't find him" Brandon says. "Wait. Where are Abbie and Zoe?" Noah asks.
"Right. Here." Zoe says coming out of the bathroom miserably. There's mascara smudged all over her eyes and her face is all red and puffy. Abbie follows her.
"We need to look in the woods" I say. "What, no y/n. You don't even know the woods that well. It's 4am and we will all get lost and it will end up a mess" Noah says staring at me.
"Well we have to do something!" I shout "we can't just leave him out there". Everyone looks around at each other and nods.
"Okay, let's go, but we need to get the other Guys to help and we need to stay together in groups Alright?" Noah says. We all nod.
"Grab your phones" Brandon says. I climb up and get my phone.
We walk over to the boys cabin and enter into it. All of the other guys sit up, annoyed that they were woken up. "We need to go Cmon" Liam says as they all get up and throw on some clothes.
We all walk outside. In our pajamas. At 4am. "Okay Ali Jess, Ben and Liam you guys head to the lake. Zoe Abbie David And Cameron you guys head to the basket ball courts. Chloe Brandon Ronnie and Caleb you guys check near the cabins and the woods behind them and Olivia y/n and I will check the woods by the path Keep you phones on okay? And don't be dumbasses. Call us when you found him" Noah says, taking charge. Zoe sighs and turns to the direction of the courts.
"Shouldn't we tell Samantha or something?" Ronnie says. "We will get in trouble for sneaking out just find him and we won't be in trouble" Liam says.
We all split up into our groups and we start walking.
Noah, Olivia and I reach the path. "Let's try the first path first" I say. We turn on our flashlights and walk down a path to our right first. It's quite wide so it's not hard to navigate.
"Why were you guys standing outside?" Noah asks me. "Oh- we were just talking about Zoe. I kinda screamed at her" I say looking down. "No wonder I heard screaming in you guys cabin I thought you were murdering someone" Noah says laughing. "Well it probably sounded like that" I say laughing along.
"Hey guys do you hear something-" Olivia says looking at us. We freeze. Suddenly we hear footsteps coming towards us. "Zach?" Noah calls out. No reply. "Oh shit we're definitely caught" I whisper. The footsteps get closer. We back up a bit. "Hello?" Olivia says.
Suddenly figures come towards us. "Oh my god" I say as we back up even more.
"BOO" Chloe shouts. I scream and step back. Tripping over a tree root on the floor. I fall but something catches me. I whip around and see Noah holding me up inches from the floor, his hands wrapped under my shoulders to my chest. I stand back up. "Thanks" I say.
"Why the fuck did you do that Chloe you're gonna get us caught!" Noah says angrily. "Sorryyy but you're behind the cabins right now so turn back and go another trail." She says as the others in her group come behind her.
"Ugh Fine, Just dont do that again" Noah says as he turns around. Olivia and I follow him.
We stumble around to woods for a while. Going down all the main steam paths. "Guys this isn't working. We need to go deeper. He's clearly not here" I say. "Y/n's right" Olivia says.
"We're gonna get lost" Noah says. "It's fine we have our phones. If we get lost we can use maps." I assure him. "Mmm i don't know guys.." Noah says. "Zach's out there alone. If we don't find him something bad could've happened to him." I say trying to convince Noah. He sighs "alright. Let's go".
We turn off the path and walk down the opening between the trees. The further we go the narrower the path between the trees get.
We're walking for about 15 minutes until Olivia says "guys should we turn back? It's like no ones been here". "Yeah y/n I don't think he's here" Noah says. "Just five more minutes... please" I say. I'm determined to find him. Noah stops.
"Y/n if we go any further we're going to get lost" he says. "I promise you we're not gonna get lost" I say. "We've already gone way too deep" Noah says. "Just 5 more minutes. Pleaseeeeee" I say batting my eyelids and sticking out my bottom lip. Trying to act like a five year old. "Ugh Okay Fine, but only FIVE MORE MINUTES" Noah says. "Yesss Thanks noahh" I say as I kiss him on the cheek. "Okay lovebirds you have plenty of time later to kiss each other lets get going before the sun is up" Olivia says walking in front of us. I give noah a quick peck of the lips and walk up to Olivia.
5 minutes pass and still no sign of Zach. "Y/n it's been 5 minutes. Let's just face it. He's not here. He probably just fell asleep in some girls cabin or something" Olivia says. Wait. What's that light. "Wait guys look over there" I say pointing to a small light in the distance. "Cmon lets go" I say.
We walk towards the light and it gets larger. Suddenly there's an opening in the trees. I slowly walk through it. There's a light lying on the floor by my feet. I pick it up and look at it. I look at it more closely and see a "z" scrawled into it. "Oh my god. This is Zach's" I say. "Shine your lights around" Noah says.
I shine my flashlight on my phone all around the circle. Something catches my eye. I walk closer and see Zach passed out on the floor. There an empty bottle of vodka next to him and some white powder on a log and around Zach's nose. I start screaming
