Lloyd lays out their map as he goes over the plan while he waits for the others.
"And if we do this right, we can find Master Wu, save Cyrus Borg, rescue everyone who was kidnapped and stop the Hands of Time. But it'll take stealth, concentration and precise execution." Lloyd said.
"And where does the slug fit in?" Jay said with a big smile on his face. "What slug?" Lloyd asked in confusion.
"Aah! That one!" Cole wailed as he tried to get the slug off his shoulder. "Ew! Ew! Ew! It's so big! So gross!" Cole shouted. Lloyd and Jay laugh as Cole desperately tries to dislodge the slug.
Nya and Kai soon joined the others. "Hey, guys. What'd we miss?" Nya said, running up to them with her brother in tow.
"Hahaha! Cole freaking out over a slug." Jay laughed. "And Lloyd laying out the plan of attack." Zane giggled. It was obvious Zane didn't quite get the joke. "Hehe. But mostly Cole freaking out." Jay chuckled.
"As I was saying, Zane will use his sensors to locate Cyrus Borg while Jay and Cole rescue the workers from the warehouse. I'll get Master Wu, who's probably in the holding cell. Kai and Nya, you have the toughest job locating Krux and Acronix. So you take the map." Lloyd said handing it over.
"And (Y/N)?" Nya quietly asked as her brother went over the map. "I-I don't know." Lloyd admitted to the team. "I-we-she-" Lloyd struggled to get the right words out.
"We can do that. Right, Kai?" Nya said changing the subject. "Barracks, holding cell..." Kai mumbled as he memorized the map.
"Ahem. Kai?" Nya said, trying to get his attention. "That's the mess hall and... what's this-" Kai said coming across something on the map. "Kai!" Nya hisses at her brother snapping him out of singular focus.
"What? Yeah, yeah, we got it. Let's go." Kai said, finally paying attention.
"Remember, stealth is key. Everyone knows what they're doing?" Lloyd said.
"On it." Cole and Jay said.
"Got it." Nya responded.
"Affirmative." Zane reported. "Scanning for Borg's biometric signature. Target acquired. Locking in."
"Oh, yeah. I know exactly what I'm doing." Kai said with determination. "Good luck. No pressure, but all of Ninjago is depending on us." Lloyd reminded the team.
(Third Person P.O.V)

Wu continues to fight off some Vermillion Warriors. "Your numbers are great, but they won't be enough. The Time Punch has reversed. My strength has returned. I will save Ninjago." Wu proudly claiming his strength returned and the effects of the Time Punch have reversed.
A Vermillion charge at Wu, who spins around his staff and kicks the closest assailant in the face. Sending him flying across the wooden path, knocking him out. More Vermillion charge at Wu who merely smiles at them before twirling his weapon around, striking them to the ground.
A nearby Vermillion egg starts to crack and Misako emerges from an egg wearing Vermillion armour. "Misako?" Wu said in horror.
"Wu, why did you fail me?" Misako demanded. "I-I made a mistake. An error of judgment. I should have told you I loved you before you went to-" Garmadon also emerges from an egg wearing armour. "Garmadon?" Wu said in shock.
"You let me fall to the darkness, brother. You failed me too." Garmadon proclaims.
Morro also emerges from an egg wearing Vermillion armour. "And me." Morro said. "Morro? I-I don't understand." Wu pleads. "You don't understand how instead of your greatest success, your student became your greatest failure? You've made many mistakes, Master." Morro spat at Wu.
Next (Y/N) emerges from an egg wearing Vermillion armour. "A mistake!?" (Y/N) bitterly hissed. "You partook in genocide, Wu! My life was nothing but pain and misery because of that!"
"He's made many mistakes. I'm but the latest. The monastery. You never should have come by yourself, old man." Acronix spat, appearing before Wu.
"We could have helped, Master." Lloyd's voice rang out.
"You didn't have to face him alone." Kai echoed in the Master's ears.
"You didn't have to be alone." All of his Ninja's voices continued to chant over and over again.
"All alone. I'm all alone." Wu continued to mumble in his sleep. Blunck paces back and forth outside his cell.
"Ha! What a joke. We are commanders. Guarding this guy is totally beneath us. How could Acronix and Krux put Machia in charge? They ignored our courage! Our dedication! Our singular focus." Blunck declared only to be cut off by Raggmunk's stomach growling.
"What? I'm starving." Raggmunk said upon seeing the nasty look Blunck was giving him. "I missed breakfast."
"Machia told us never to let the prisoner out of our sight. You're just going to have to go hungry." Blunck said, shaking his head. "Unless..." Raggmunk said coming up with an idea.
(Third Person P.O.V)

Cole and Jay hide behind a rock just as a pair of Buffmillion went past.
"Hm, I don't think we can go in the front door." Cole said peering around the rock. "Well, you know, we can, but I doubt fighting half the Vermillion Warriors is good for Lloyd's stealth plan." Jay whispered.
Cole fashions a grappling hook that they climbed up the side of the building. Cole makes it up safely but as Jay climbs up it comes loose.
Jay falls with the rope but Cole successfully catches it in time to stop Jay from becoming a huge spalt on the ground. "Not good, not good, not good, not good." Jay whisperers under his breath in a panic as he helplessly dangles. Cole manages to save him just before they are caught by dragging Jay up with the rope.
"Ugh! Got to love skylights. Nobody ever thinks to guard them." Cole said as they entered through the skylight.
"Whoa." Jay said. They watch as the workers make armour and weapons. "Shh! We're here to rescue-" Jay gets cut off when tackles Karlof him and crushes him in a hug.
"Ninja! We are rescued!" Karlof shouted as he continued to tightly hug the Master of Lightning.
"What are you doing here?" Cole questioned Karlof as the Master of Metal continued to crush Jay in a huge hug.
"Snake warriors kidnap Karlof!" Karlof explained. "Can't... breathe..." Jay breathlessly gasps.
"Krux and Acronix are rounding up the Elemental Masters?" Cole questioned Karlof.
"Retired Elemental Master." Karlof corrected the Master of Earth. "Until snakes grab Karlof, cuff him in Vengestone to control his power-" Karlof said. "Ugh, come on!" Jay groaned in pain and Karlof finally lets go of Jay. "-and make him forge." Karlof said.
"Oh, man. You're strong." Jay said, taking a deep breath.
"They force us to build armour, vehicles, weapons. All in Ninjago who know how to build, they take." Karlof informed the pair.
"Now I get why the Vermillion grabbed all that metal." Jay said looking around. "And why they took who they took." Cole added.
"Carpenters, construction workers, tailors, Master of Metal, and-" Karlof said getting cut off. "Revenge will be mine." Lou sang, interrupting Karlof.
"Dad? But you guys are just called The Royal Blacksmiths. You're not, you know, actual blacksmiths." Cole points out but the band continues singing and the crowd cheers.
"How did you not know he was taken?" Jay scolded Cole. "I knew my parents were in danger." Jay yelled, shooting him a look.
"I've been busy." Cole quietly said rubbing the back of his neck. Jay shook his head at the Master of Earth.
"How do we get them out of here?" Jay said changing the subject from his disappointment in his teammate.
"By leaving the same way we came in." Cole said pointing back up at the skylight.
"Oh sure. Great idea. Everyone can just fly up there, except-Oh, wait! They can't fly!" Jay sarcastically pointed out. "No, but we can." Cole said with a smirk. Jay gasps in realisation.
"Airjitzu!" Both said at the same time.

"Time grows short and I grow impatient. Are you finished yet?" Krux growled at the inventor.
"Yes. I'm finished. It will supply all the power you need." Cyrus said rolling his eyes at the impatient man.
"Magnificent. Your effort is appreciated, Cyrus Borg." Krux said, praising the man. "Hmm. Like I had a choice." Cyrus grumbled under his breath.
"Hmm. Impressive craftsmanship. All the more so when one takes into account your inferior modern training. Time for a demonstration." Krux said and inserted the Slow-Mo Time Blade but nothing happened.
"Argh! It doesn't work! I withdraw my compliment." Krux shouts. "I told you. The apparatus won't activate unless all four Time Blades are in it." Cyrus said shaking his head in dismay at the elder of the Hands of Time.
"Speaking of which, the third is arriving any minute now, brother." Acronix pointed out to his brother.
"And my ship awaits." Machia said walking in with a very disgruntled (Y/N).
"Ugh! I've waited decades. I suppose I can wait a little longer." Krux said and turned around to talk to them.
"Whoa!" Krux gasped when he caught sight of (Y/N) scratching at her right arm. "What's up with her?" Acronix questioned Machia.
"That mark on her arm has something to do with it. But the gist of it is that her people are becoming rather impatient with her progress in hunting down the guilty party." Machia reported to her masters.
Acronix stepped closer to (Y/N) and tried to inspect it but (Y/N) just kept scratching at the glowing symbol.
The way it sat on the dragon-shaped birthmark made it look almost like the dragon had a back tattoo.
"Kind of eerie." Acronix stated upon his inspection. "Agreed." Krux said joining his brother in inspecting the mark. "It reminds me of the robes Wu and Garmadon would wear. The ones with the dragons and characters." Krux said, still inspecting the symbol and birthmark.
"My people are becoming impatient." (Y/N) growled at the pair inspecting her arm. "Impatient is right. If I'm correct you've only been back in Ninjago less than a week." Krux loudly snorted.
Cyrus silently wheels himself over to a panel on the device and was about to try and sabotage it.
"Attempting sabotage?" Machia hisses into Borg's ear. "Uh, no. no, no, no. Of course not." Cyrus lied knowing that he'd been caught before he even started. "Wise decision." Machia hissed grabbing onto the handles of the wheelchair. "But just to be safe, you're coming with us."
"Take the apparatus to the Iron Doom. Krux and Acronix want it ready to connect when the time comes." Machia orders and the nearby Vermillion obey the commander's orders.

Lloyd barges into Wu's cell ready for a fight but finds that it was empty.
"Empty? Where's Master Wu?" Lloyd said aloud.
"He was out to lunch." Raggmunk said wheeling the sleeping master back into the cell. "Kind of still is. Had to watch him, but wanted to eat. Thanks to me, we did both." Blunck said snacking on his lunch.
"If you hurt him..." Lloyd threatened both of them. "Him? I'd be worried about you." Raggmunk said rolling his eyes at the ninja.
"Yeah. You and your ninja buddies are gonna pay for getting us stuck on this lame babysitting detail." Blunck scoffs and goes back to his lunch. Lloyd shoves Blunck making him drop his food. "Ugh! Now you're really in trouble." Blunck declared in annoyance.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to fight with your mouth full?" Lloyd mocked the snake.
"Stop him! I'll watch the geezer." Raggmunk ordered. Lloyd runs past him. "Hey! How come you get to-Whoa!" Blunck shouts as Lloyd takes off with Wu.

Jay grunts from the sheer weight from holding up Karlof. "Why does Dirt Ninja smile?" Karlof questions Jay as Jay continues to suffer under the strain.
"Oh, just getting déjà vu saving you for a second time. Go, Jay." Cole lied mocking Jay.
"You got extra metal in your pockets or something?" Jay joked under the strain. "Oh, Karlof almost forget. Hehe. Car keys." Karlof said taking out his car keys but he's still too heavy.
"No. This isn't gonna work. We've got to come up with something else. Fast!" Jay grunt putting Karlof down.
"Hmm. Wait! We have builders and we have scrap metal! So..." Cole said. "Right! Anyone here know how to design a ladder out of scrap?" Jay asks the builders. The builders share a look and start to build a ladder.
"Good thinking, boys." Lou said praising the pair. "Thanks, Dad. Hey, I've got a question. All the armour and stuff you forged. Where did all the designs come from?" Cole questions.
"I overheard one of the generals say they came from a master blacksmith." Lou informs the pair of ninjas. "Master blacksmith?" Jay said aloud.
(Third Person P.O.V)

"Kai, I don't see anything. Give me the map. Hm. What even makes you think Acronix and Krux are around here?" Nya said holding her hand out for the map.
"I honestly don't care if they are." Kai declared shocking Nya. Nya lets out a gasp. "Wait if we're not- that then means." Nya suddenly realises that Kai isn't trying to find the twins, he was trying to find their parents.
"I knew it!" Kai declares as they reach the blacksmith shop. "Kai wait!" Nya pleads with her brother but it's too late Kai charges forward and opens the shop's door.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Ray said. "I want justice!" Kai shouts. They duel, Ray with a blacksmith's hammer and Kai wielding the Dragon Blade.
"You're red like a Vermillion Warrior. But you're no snake!" Ray said, sussing this intruder out.
"No, but you are. Traitor!" Kai shouted, attacking Ray. "You've messed with the wrong blacksmith, my friend." Ray said, swinging the hammer at Kai.
"I'm not your friend!" Kai angrily shouts revealing his elemental fire. "No, you're certainly not a guard." Ray said, dropping the hammer. "You're... my son. Kai? You've inherited my Elemental Power." Ray said softly, he'd missed so much of his children's lives.
"And that's the only thing I will ever inherit from you!" Kai snarled at his father about to roast his father with his flames.
"Kai, no!" Nya shouts at her brother using her water powers to extinguish Kai's flames. "He's a traitor!" Kai screamed at the top of his lunges.
"Traitor?" Ray said in confusion. "He's still our father!" Nya pleaded with her brother.
"Nya?" Ray said softly. His little girl had grown so much. "Son, whatever it is you think, I can explain." Ray pleaded with Kai.
"Yeah. I bet you can." Kai said gearing up to burn his father but Nya extinguishes his fire again. "Kai, let him speak. There's no harm in hearing him out." Nya pleads with her brother.

"Nice. And those Vermillion never knew what we were doing. Look at this bad boy. Solid." Jay said checking on the ladder.
"No, wait, ladder is not done!" Karlof warned just as the ladder falls, making a loud noise.
"Oops." Jay said. "Oh! So much for stealth." Cole cringed. "Well, maybe they didn't hear it." Jay said as the Buffmillions come in to investigate the sound. "No. They did." Jay said with a bitter sigh.

The twins, Machia, (Y/N) and Cyrus wait atop a frozen mountain for the Pause Time Blade.
"You said Borg's temporal scanner would pinpoint the exact location of the Blade's arrival." Krux argued with his brother just as the temporal vortex opens up above them.
"Oh, it should be here in a..." Acronix begins to say as the Pause Time Blade lands, causing everyone to freeze temporarily. "...Moment. There we go. The BorgWatch works perfectly." Acronix said picking up the blade.
"Of course it did. Everything I make works perfectly." Cyrus declared in a completely insulted tone. "Sometimes it's a curse." Cyrus whispered to himself. "Know that feeling." (Y/N) commented as she still scratched at the mark.
"You see? Easiest one to obtain yet. Now, will you admit that not all modern technology is bad?" Acronix said with a smirk.
"Not until we find the final Blade. A task for which that little trinket has been utterly useless." Krux stubbornly refused and stormed off.
"Mother always said he was stubborn." Acronix loudly grumbled.

Cole and Jay successfully defeated the Vermillion, but they saw more coming and ordered the prisoners to escape through the doors.
"Ugh! Did you feel that for a moment ago? That was weird." Jay said. "It was like time stood still. Cole described as he tried to shake off the feeling.
"Well, they're not standing still." Cole says and powers up an Earth Punch to stop the encroaching threat.
"Now they're standing still." Cole gloated but the victory was short-lived as they saw more Warriors coming. "Uh-oh. Tunnels, everyone. Now!" Jay ordered.
(Third Person P.O.V)

Meanwhile, Raggmunk and Blunck were able to take Wu back. But Lloyd trips Raggmunk and tries to save Wu before he could fall down a cliff.
"I'm coming, Master!" Lloyd shouted, running after the wheelchair. Lloyd barely manages to catch the wheelchair in time and brings Wu to safety.
Lloyd grunts as he struggles to pull the wheelchair back up. "Safe. You're finally-" Lloyd puffs out due to the lack of breath.
"Gotcha!" Raggmunk shouts delivering a flying kick into the green ninjas back and sending him tumbling down the embankment.
"Oh, come on!" Lloyd sighs as Raggmunk and Blunck reclaim Wu and take off back towards the cells.
(Third Person P.O.V)

Kai continues to fight Ray. Kai managing to cesses him by the throat. "It ends here. Now!" Kai declares ready to end his traitorous father.
"Kai, you don't know what you're doing." Maya pleaded with her son.
"I do, Nya. I absolutely-" Kai snapped. "I'm not your sister, son." Maya said cutting off her son. "Huh? Mum? I-I don't believe it." Kai said in shock after turning around to face her.
"That makes two of us. Nya, my baby girl, how you've grown." Maya said gushing over her daughter. "I've-I-I missed you." Nya cried embracing her mother.
"Why? She's just as guilty as he is. They've been helping Acronix and Krux for years! They're the enemy!" Kai shouts at his sister.
"Is that what you think? We are not the enemy." Maya pleads with her son, tears filling her eyes.
"Then how do you explain this?" Kai shouts holding up the helmet his father had been working on. "Dad's blacksmith stamp on every piece of Vermillion armour." Kai spat in disgust.
"They forced us to work for them. Part of their revenge." Maya tearfully explained. "For what?" Kai demanded, not believing a word. "For creating the Time Blades. It goes back to when Acronix and Krux were Elemental Masters." Ray explained.
"We forged four Time Blades from Chronosteel to absorb the powers of the Hands of Time. Chronosteel is incredibly strong. We were physically and mentally drained."
"The Time Blades stripped Krux and Acronix of their powers. Then Wu and Garmadon created a temporal vortex to lose the Blades forever. When Krux and Acronix foolishly went after the Blades, it appeared they too would be lost to time. Later, we learned that before Acronix disappeared, there was a sign that foretold the exact time of his return. Forty years in the future. Wu saw it." Ray continued to explain.
"So that must be how Master Wu knew when Acronix was going to return to the Monastery. He saw the blimp?" Kai questioned the pair. "And so did Krux." Maya continued.
"What Wu did not know was that not only did Krux see the blimp, but he wasn't sent forward with his brother. Now he knew he had decades to plan. He assumed a false identity and decided to use eggs from the Great Devourer to create a great legion of warriors. His warriors would need armour, weapons, vehicles. And he knew just who could design them." Ray sadly explained.
"Pretending to be kindly Dr Sander Saunders, Krux took his time and earned our trust. We thought he was our friend." Maya said thinking back to that awful day she'd been separated from her beloved children.
"Until Saunders betrayed us. Told us how he had a plan for his brother's eventual return. Forced us to work for him, or else." Ray said screwing his eyes shut at the painful thought. "Or else what?" Kai asked. "Or else he would go after you two. It was his ultimate revenge." Maya said completely heartbroken.
"Okay, but that still doesn't explain the stamp." Kai said pointing at the mark on the helmet.
"It was a message. I stamped all my work, hoping one day someone would figure out where we were. So that together we could stop Krux and Acronix's plan." Ray admitted.
"What is their plan?" Nya asked her parents. "To control all of time." Ray sighs.
(Third Person P.O.V)

The Hands of Time return to the swamp. Just as Blunck and Raggmunk return Wu to his cell.
"Safe. Thanks for leaving me to fight the kid all by myself." Blunck hissed at Raggmunk.
"Someone had to look after sleeping beauty here." Raggmunk said, nodding his head towards Wu. "Think of how much trouble we'd be in if Krux and Acronix knew you lost him."
"Me? You're the one who-" Blunck shouted in outrage. "Fools!" Machia yelled at the pair causing them to jump in fright.
"Supreme Commander! Hey, uh, have you been here the whole time?" Blunck shouted, jumping to attention.
"I know you disobeyed me. I know you lost the prisoner. I know all of it. Even the sliders." Machia scolded Blunck and Raggmunk for losing Wu.
"What? How could you possibly know- Oh Right. Stupid hive mind." Raggmunk said tapping on his helmet.
"Clearly, I cannot trust you, nitwits, to do even the simplest things." Machia growled at the pair.

Zane senses someone in the bushes but it's Lloyd. "Lloyd?" Zane called out to the green ninja.
"Zane? Have you seen Wu?" Lloyd asks, stepping out of the bushes. "No. I was tracking Borg, but I lost the signal. Then it reappeared." Zane reported.
"Unh! I had Wu but lost him... again." Lloyd sighed. "I sense Jay and Cole are nearby." Zane reports. "Yeah? You sure?" Lloyd asks.
"Bring it on, you Vermillion doofs!" Jay shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Yup. Pretty sure." Zane said in response.
"Oh! Haha! Hey, guys! I know it looks like we are totally outnumbered, but that's only because we are. Haha!" Jay nervously shouted.
"Our friends need our help." Lloyd said, rushing to help them. "But what about Cyrus Borg and Master Wu?" Zane asks. "I'm afraid they have to wait. As Master Wu says. Never put off until tomorrow what must be done today." Lloyd said.
"True. Let's just hope we are not putting off the wrong thing." Zane responds.
(Third Person P.O.V)

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Kai apologised to his father and mother. "You said Krux and Acronix want to control all of time. How?" Nya said keeping her mind on the mission before them.
"They made me design Iron Doom, a transport to carry the Vermillion throughout time. With all those troops, they would be unstoppable." Ray explained.
"You built a time machine?" Kai scoffed in amazement. "Just the shell. Time machines are a little outside my skill set." Ray said, clearing up the misunderstanding.
"But Cyrus Borg was forced to design a power source to power the Iron Doom. It draws temporal energy from the Time Blades." Maya explained to her children.
"Oh, no! I just realized... that pause we felt earlier? It must have been the third Time Blade!" Nya said in realization. "If Krux and Acronix found it, then there'd be only one left. And if they get that, their time travelling mega armour would be fully operational."
Kai noticed the wide grin on both his parents' faces. "Sorry, fully operational is good news?" Kai said sarcastically to his parents.
"Heh. They'll never get it. Master Wu found it shortly after Acronix disappeared. Turns out it has the power to reverse time. Wu knew it was too dangerous to keep. Under his orders, we hid it. Buried deep in a location that only the combined Elemental Powers of Fire and Water can reach." Ray said with pride.
"And since you inherited our powers..." Maya gasps in realization. "You must leave. Now." Maya ordered and started pushing her children towards the door.
"She's right. If the Hands of Time knew all this, they could-" Ray said. "Could force you to retrieve it for us? Excellent suggestion." Krux said, finishing off Ray's sentence with a sinister smirk.
"No way. We will never do your bidding." Kai said. "You tell them, brother!" Nya yelled in agreement.
"You will, or your parents will face the very fate from which they tried to protect you." Krux countered with a twisted grin on his face.
"Never! We're done serving you, Krux. Bring your worst." Ray yelled. "With pleasure." Krux says and pauses Ray then punches him into Nya and Kai knocks all three of them over.
"Ray! Children." Maya shouts running to their sides. "Look who I found." Machia says as she wheels in Wu. "Master!" Kai and Nya said at the same time. "Wu!" Maya said in fear the Wu didn't look very good.
"Uh, technically, she didn't find him. We had him the whole time." Raggmunk quickly said. "Yeah. We didn't lose him because we took a lunch break or anything." Blunck added.
"You know, it occurs to me that the Reversal Blade is the only way to undo the effects of the Time Punch." Acronix said.
"I'm-I'm afraid that's true." Ray gasps. "If you want to save your Master, you will retrieve the fourth Blade. And I'll take that." Krux said, grabbing Kai's Dragon Blade.

The ninjas finish off the Vermillion. "Yeah! Haha!" Cole cheers in triumph. "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! That's what I'm talking about. Vermillion done. Workers saved. Ninja in the swamp!" Jay rounding it up.
"Now we can return to search for Borg and Wu." Lloyd said, reminding the rowdy pair that the job wasn't over yet.
