Big: Bakugo Little: Kirishima
Synopsis: A large thunderstorm occurs which causes Kiri to fall into headspace out of fear. Who else better to comfort the little one than the big strong Bakugo!
Soft droplets of water hit the panes of the redhead's dorm room window as he stared at the endless equations written on the paper in front of him. He sighs setting his pencil down and taking a moment to stretch as multiple areas in his back crack and pop relieving the tension from his muscles.
"Why does math have to be so hard," He grumbles as he picks up the pencil again and taps it against his chin.
The rhythm of the water outside creates a numbing hum, it was peaceful, and it was calming for the young boy. The window was cracked just a bit letting the cool air and fresh smell of rain enter the room.
The soft rain reminded him of a special day during his hero training, the one where he finally mastered a new power move to assist and pair with his unbreakable form.
Soft rain made him feel manly.
The student continued to write and attempt to complete the complex problems as the rain began to grow heavy. Yet the kid was too focused to notice that the dark side of soft rain was soon to come.
"Finally! Finished!" He exclaims excitedly as he gives himself a small pat on the back. "Now I can just sit back and relax for the rest of the night. Cool rain, no homework, it's the perfect way to spend-"
Suddenly a flash of lightning illuminates the room causing Kirishima to drop his paper onto the floor letting them scatter. The sudden loud noise causes the boy to freeze in fear as he tries to catch his breath.
"Uh oh. . ." he mutters as he wraps his arms around himself. His body quivers gently as he takes small steps towards his bed. He sits down pulling his knees up to his chest as he places his head on top of his kneecaps. His hand makes its way to his mouth as he sucks on his thumb gently, his mindset quickly falling into his headspace.
Another loud roar of thunder echoes throughout the room as the redhead yelps in surprise. He then lets out a small whimper as he feels around for his phone. Once he finally locates the device he unlocks it and fumbles scrolling through his contact list before hitting the call button.
The phone rings a couple of times before it stops.
"What do you want Kirishima? Don't you know I'm busy with homework? We have an exam, tomorrow idiot." Bakugo says in an irritable tone.
"Oh uh sorry I just wanted to calls and uh -"
"Use your words shittyhair."
Before Kirishima could reply, another flash of lightning hits and the window picks up heavily causing a tree branch to hit the boy's window. He screams in fear as he drops his phone.
"Kirishima? What's wrong? Hello?" Bakugo asks before realizing that the boy must have dropped the cell phone. He looks out his window to notice how bad the storm had gotten before sighing.
Bakugo picks up his mess in his room really fast before grabbing a few essentials. He then quickly exits his room heading down the hallway.
Kirishima lays on his bed with his pillow over his face in an attempt to block out the scary noises. He whines and sniffles as tears fall down his cheeks.
A loud knocking is heard at his door which causes him to yelp in more fear.
"Monster!" He screeches hiding under his blanket.
"Kiri I'm not a monster, It's Bakugo." A voice says from the other side of the door. "Come let me in."
Kirishima crawls towards the door holding his blanket tightly. "You promise you aren't a monster pretending to be GoGo?" He asks holding the door knob.
"Yes I promise now let me in."
"Do you pinky promise?"
"Yes Kiri, now come on."
"You gotta say it or else you don't mean it."
A long sigh is heard from the blonde boy as he slowly replies, "I pinky promise that I am Bakugo and not really a scary monster."
Kirishima slowly unlocks the door and opens it to see his blonde friend waiting. "GoGo it's you!"
Bakugo chuckles a bit and lets out a small 'tch' before walking past the small boy. "That's what I said kiddo. Now come here." He says while sitting on the bed.
The other boy practically runs to Katsuki and jumps onto his lap instantly wrapping himself around the older boy. A loud roar of thunder sounds off in the room causing Kirishima to cling even harder to the blonde.
His bottom lip quivers as he looks at Bakugo with a pleading look. "Make it stop GoGo! Make it go away!" He whimpers pushing his head into his friend's chest.
"Baby shark I can't make it go away. It's thunder." Bakugo says softly running a hand through the little one's hair.
"But you're big strong Bakugo, you gonna be number one hero!" The little boy says holding a piece of the older one's shirt in his hands tugging on it softly.
Bakugo thinks for a moment before replying, "Well little guy, it would be kinda mean for me to tell the thunder to stop, you wanna know why?"
Kirishima looks up in curiosity, "Why?"
"All of the sky superheroes are protecting the sky cities from sky villains. They don't mean to make all this noise but sometimes they can't help. Just like we can't help it if we are loud during our fights." Bakugo says off the top of his head.
"There's sky heroes? And they protect sky city?"
"They sure do buddy, and we wouldn't want to keep them from doing their job at keeping the peace right?"
Kirishima thinks for a moment, "Right. Wanna protect all cities one day, can I be sky hero?"
Bakugo nods softly as he caresses the small boy again.
"You sure can buddy. Now, how about we get into some comfy pajamas and watch your favorite movie. That way we don't have to listen to the heroes fighting the bad guys."
"Favorite movie? Finding Nemo! You haves it?! Where?!" The little boy screeches while bouncing up and down in excitement.
Bakugo pulls the redhead off of his lap before grabbing a DVD from the small pile of items he brought over. "I've got it right here baby shark. Now, how about you go get Steve, I'm sure he would love to watch this movie with you."
Kirishima beams in excitement as he rushes to his closet. Bakugo goes to the little boy's dresser grabbing out a soft red onesie for him to wear. The young boy rushes back holding a large 20-inch shark in his arms.
"Look I have Steve! He's here! Can we have a cuddle puddle now with me you and Steve? I wanna cuddle." Kirishima asks as his body shakes in excitement.
"Of course baby, but first let's get dressed. Geez, it's a bit chilly in here." Bakugo looks over to see the window still cracked open. "Let's get this closed, little boys like you catch colds easily." He says with a small chuckle as the young boy pouts.
Bakugo helps Kirishima change into the pajamas quickly before changing into his own pair of comfy sweatpants. He helps the little boy climb under the covers before going and putting the disc into the dvd player.
On his way back he notices the papers that had fallen early. He takes a moment to clean them up while looking at the equations.
"Is this your math homework?"
Kirishima hums a small 'yes' in response.
"Baby these aren't even close to the right -" Bakugo stops his answer as he notices Kirishimas bottom lip beginning to quiver.
"I do them wrongs?"
"No baby, you did a great job." The older replies not wanting to upset the little. He planned to just fix the homework later for him after the boy fell asleep.
Bakugo goes back to the bed and climbs in behind Kirishima that way the boy was between the blonde boy's legs with his shark stuffie in his lap.
The two begin to watch the movie as the little one's eyes begin to droop closed. Bakugo smiles contently before a crash of lightning followed by loud thunder causes the boys to look at each other. Bakugo looks at Kirishima worried that it upset him but to his surprise, Kirishima smiles before exclaiming loudly:
"Good job sky heroes! Beat up the bad guys and save the day!"
