It started innocently enough.
You two were lost in a crowd, and you tried to grasp onto his sweater unsuccessfully, until he rolled his eyes and grabbed your hand, dragging you with him. You couldn't help the blush that followed and poked fun at him to cover it up.
That was the first time.
The second time was your doing. He had just hit a huge milestone on twitch and was waiting to start a stream to celebrate. You were out of frame, there for moral support. Eyes glancing down, you could see his hands clenching and unclenching, sometimes twisting his sweatpants. He was anxious. Frowning, you reached over, gently picking up his hand and squeezing it, a silent message. Everything's fine. He didn't usually get like this before streams, but today was a big day, and you knew that. Squeezing one more time, you let go, watching his hand drop down to his side. He gave you a smile, and you gave a thumbs up in response.
After that, it just became normal for you two to hold hands. It became part of your daily routine. If you wanted attention, you'd simply link arms and join your hands together instead of tapping him on the shoulder. It was nice. Weird, but nice.
You couldn't say you didn't enjoy it.
Yet, every single time you two joined hands, you wanted more. You wanted to be closer to him. But this was all you could do.
Fundy raised an eyebrow at you, hand already reaching out to grab yours, shocking you out of your daydream. You let it happen, your fingers interlocking. He frowned. "Something wrong?"
You shook your head silently, wanting nothing more than to just...move closer.
He motioned at the rest of the group, who were already walking way ahead of you both. Rolling your eyes, you faintly registered Wilbur calling out something to you, but you ignored it, already pulling Fundy to walk along with you. "Come on, you don't want Tommy to call you sad Fundy again."
He stopped walking.
Fundy, wha-" you were cut off when he pulled you into him, making it so you were looking up at him, bodies flush together. You felt your brain completely melt. "Wha-you-I-wh-"
He shut you up with a kiss, one hand still holding onto yours, the other resting at your waist. You kissed back just as hard, a hand reaching up to wrap around his neck. You pulled apart, staring at each other, both breathing hard.
"OI! Stop flirting!" Tommy called out, and you laughed, all of the tension leaving your body at once. Fundy joined in, and you two giggled together.
Still smiling, you started to walk over to the group, still hand in hand.
