It had been three days since the hosu incident and 6 days since the hero course students started taking internships. Meaning it was the internship's end. Izuku and Kyoka had recently left the Edgeshot agency and were currently sitting on the train on the way back to Musutafu. It was still early in the morning but it would take a while for them to reach their destination.

The two were sitting in silence. Izuku had a lot on his mind. Naturally, he knew that he would have to explain to his mother about Hosu and his quirk. Even if he hangs at Kyoka's place, he would be stalling. The situation is unavoidable and he has to face his fear. The fear that is his mother's decision.

Kyoka looked at Izuku, she could tell what was on his mind. "So, you going to crash at my place or are you going straight home?" She questioned her crush, looking at him with all seriousness. Either option is a win for her if you think about it.

"Ehhhh..." He winced before giving the final answer. "I-...I'm going to talk to her. I already know it's inevitable... I might as well power through it right?" He said with a sigh. Kyoka hummed.

"Well, we still have four hours and a half to go before we reach Musutafu. Let's at least prepare you for what's to come." She spoke with her hand on her chin. This was mostly because both Kyoka and Izuku know that he isn't ready, not yet at least.

"...Alright." He agreed hesitantly, knowing this was going to be one long trip back. But he must do what needs to be done.

-

"...You know, I was fully expecting you to ask me to pretend you were my mom and put me through all the possible outcomes." Izuku said as he looked down on his phone to see a series of questions that Kyoka wrote down for him.

"What? No thats stupid and you and I both know I'm too lazy for that. Plus, I know for a fact you've seen at least three movies that tried that technique and it never works." She replied. "This would be easier...I think." Izuku looked at her with a deadpan look. "Look I don't know!"

"One of the questions is. "What if your mom says, "What if you fall and don't get back up?"." He said and Kyoka nodded.

"Yea, what about it?"

"Explain to me why one of the answers is "Tatakae, Tatakae"."

Kyoka scratched the back of her neck. Being caught red handed, she naturally looked away. This left Izuku sighing as he began to choose the answers he thought were right. Kyoka was watching him and thought for a moment. She never actually met his mom before... 'I did not think this through...'

After a few minutes, Izuku finished the questions. "Alright, done."

"Coolio."

"So what now?" He questioned.

"Nothing."

"Huh?"

"Green Bean, look. Why do you think you chose those answers?" She questioned him, he tilted his head.

"Because I thought they were right?" He replied to her question, not really understanding where she is trying to go with this.

Kyoka nodded. "Yea, if you chose those answers because you think they were right, then they were right. There isn't really a wrong or right answer about this. The answer just has to be appealing, show her that you know what being a hero means and you will go through with it." She explained with a smile.

"Hm...I see." He looked at his friend. "Kyoka?"

"Y-Yea?"

"You aren't talking out of your ass are you?"

Yikes, that's twice now.

Kyoka sighed and nodded. "I'm going to be honest. I-I have no idea how I'm going to help you with this one." She hummed. "The most I can do for you is to wait outside and pull you out if all goes wrong. I...can't think of anything else really. Sorry."

Izuku nervously smiled. "D-Don't worry about it, Kyo." He reassured her. "I just have to speak my mind to her. I-I know she'll understand..." He said. "Hopefully."

Kyoka couldn't help but smile. They have been through a lot together ever since the U.A entrance exams. To think they met because Kyoka almost died and Izuku broke an arm saving her. They have fully opened up to each other a while ago too, She knows that Izuku wouldn't leave her by herself and she hopes he knows that she wouldn't leave him. She wants to confess to him, but right now, he has to deal with the situation ahead.

.

.

.

The two are now a half an hour away from the train stop at Musutafu, Izuku was peacefully sleeping and Kyoka was listening to music on her phone. She yawned a little bit, wiping her eyes in the process. She looked at Izuku who was still sound asleep.

He looked so peaceful, so adorable. She blushed at the sleeping cinnamon roll. She stared at him for a small moment and came up with a decision. She slowly leaned toward his cheek and gave him a small kiss. She swiftly pulled back and covered her face with her hands and her jacks while blushing. Why'd she do that? She doesn't know, she just wanted to.

For the next thirty minutes, all Kyoka could do was be silently embarrassed at the action she had just taken. She had only stopped when the train had stopped. Izuku stretched as he began to awaken. "A-Are we here?" He said before yawning.

Kyoka, still blushing, nodded. "Y-Yea."

"A-Are you okay, Kyoka?" He questioned her, she rapidly nodded her head.

"Yep! Never better!" She slightly shouted with a smile, still blushing. Izuku tilted his head in confusion, but brushed it off. The two grabbed their things and walked off of the train.

Once they were off the train, they stretched for a moment. "So you ready for this?" Kyoka questioned Izuku, knowing exactly what she meant by that.

He winced. "You know, how about we get some ice-cream?" He replied nervously, trying to buy time. Kyoka wasn't having it though, she looked at him with the look. "M-Maybe hang out at the manga cafe for a little bit?"

"..."

"..." The two looked at each other for a while, but Izuku eventually gave in. "Yea, you're right." As the two walked to his place, Kyoka began to think for a moment. The hero killer was skilled, but there were still four of them. They barely won that fight too. Even if they were just first years, they still had the advantage of numbers. They have a long way to being pro heroes. "So, what do you think we are going to do when we get back to U.A?"

Izuku hummed for a moment. "Well, I expect we have to do our midterms, then we have to worry about our finals. I also expect that there will be something Mr.Aizawa will have waiting for us, being that we just finished our internships." Izuku thought for a moment, if he was honest, he couldn't wait to show off everything he learned to the rest of his classmates.

For Kyoka? Well, she wants to see if she is able to whoop Katsuki in a One on One no quirk sparing. Maybe it would get him to shut his big trap if she wins. She heard he took an internship with Best Jeanist. Sounds like an experience one could laugh at.

"The finals though, I wonder what they will be. Other than the written exams." Izuku questioned, Kyoka giggled in response.

"That's still a good while away, buddy." Kyoka replied, crossing her arms. "I hope Iida's feelin' better." Izuku nodded in response.

"Yea, we all learned a valuable lesson after that fight..." Izuku crossed his arms while nodding. They eventually saw Izuku's apartment building and shivered. Kyoka lightly punched his shoulder. He looked at her and she gave him a reassuring smile.

"Look, you got this." She said. "I'm here if you need me dude."

Izuku inhaled and exhaled, having a determined look on his face as they approached his apartment building. They walked up the stairs, towards the Midoriya apartment. Every step made Izuku more nervous, he never really had an actual important conversation about himself in a very long time. Hell, she doesn't even know what Bakugo did to him in Junior High. At least, he thinks she doesn't.

They reached the front door. Izuku put down the briefcase that held his hero costume and nervously sighed. "You know, why don't we talk-"

"..."

"J-Just kidding."

"Look, I know this...is kind of difficult for you. Y-You never really talked to your mom about yourself in a long time. I know because you told me before, I have my doubts that your mom would stop you from going to U.A high for this. Besides, she doesn't know we fought Stain, all she knows is that we got caught in Stain's grand speech. Our injuries were said to have been accidents from our internships." She said to him, hopefully making him feel reassured that there is nothing to worry about. She would hate for him to have to leave U.A high, it was his dream. She could never imagine how it would feel if that were the outcome.

Izuku inhaled before opening the door. "Good Luck." Kyoka whispered as he picked up his hero costume briefcase and walked into the apartment.

When we walked inside, he took off his shoes and set his briefcase down. He heard the sudden sound of rushing footsteps come toward him. "IZUKU!!!" His mother shouted, bringing the boy into a rib cracking hug. The greenette swore he felt the air exit his lungs. "I was called by the hospital! Are you okay?! Wh-What happened-?!"

"M-Mom, I-I can't breathe..."

Her eyes widened seeing her son's face turn purple from lack of air and quickly released him. "Sorry!" She shouted as Izuku coughed and gasped for air. "I-I'm fine Mom, the injuries were from m-my internship. I-I'm fine." He explained to her, a worried look still laced across his mother's face.

"That still doesn't explain why you got so hurt! You didn't get into a fight did you?!" Izuku cringed a bit hearing this. It's either telling her about what his quirk is, or telling her he fought Stain. Izuku scratched the back of his head.

"N-No, I didn't. My quirk..." He paused for a moment, preparing himself for the worst. "My quirk requires injury in order to activate. The more I am injured, the stronger, faster and more aware I become. It's like an adrenaline rush and I don't even feel the pain inflicted onto me. I-It's called Fighting Spirit." He explained to her. "Wh-."

"So, what you are  telling me you have to get hurt inorder for your quirk to activate?" She questioned him, but before she could answer she continued on. "Look baby, I know you are happy that you have gotten a quirk after all these years, but you aren't unstoppable."

"I know mom but-"

"You can't be careless, Izuku! What if you get hit so hard and you don't get back up?! What then?!"

"Mom! I'm not a damn kid anymore!" He yelled at his mother, completely ignoring the deja vu that glanced over him. Inko's eyes grew wide, this was the first time Izuku had ever raised his voice, especially against her. "For eleven years I had to go through everyone poking fun at me because I was quirkless. When I got my quirk during the entrance exam, I was so happy! I met a friend and I got into U.A high school, and made even more friends there! I'm training to be a pro hero, getting hurt is literally in the job description mom!" He continued to shout at Inko, this shocked his mother naturally, but this also shocked Kyoka who was listening from outside.

"Look, I know you are worried about me mom and I thank you for that." He continued. "But I'm not the same powerless, weak boy I was for eleven years."

Inko looked at her son. Izuku looked completely serious, he knows what he said and he will refuse to take it back. Kyoka outside was completely dumbstruck, she had no idea that this was going to be the outcome. Was... it her fault? Oh no, is he going to get grounded because of her influence?

Tears filled his mother's eyes. "Wow..." She spoke. She wasn't mad, nor was she sad. "You have grown so much, Izuku." She softly spoke.

"Eh?!" Naturally, Izuku was shocked at this, but this was tackled by his mother again. He was brung into another very tight hug by his mother. He was too shocked for words at this point.

"I'm so proud of you!" She shouted out. "My little boy has become a man!"

'...I see...' Izuku thought for a moment, but then came to the conclusion. 'No...No I don't.' He had completely thought he was going to be forced to drop out of U.A, but this was completely not one of the outcomes he had predicted. It was then he realized. "M-Mom...I-...Air...I-If you are s-so...kind!" She let the teen go and absolute glee was written all over her face, much to Izuku's surprise.

From outside, Kyoka sighed in relief and smiled as she stood up and grabbed her belongings. "See you tomorrow, Stronk Bean."

After Izuku caught some air in his lungs, he began to talk. "S-So...You're not mad?" Inko shook her head and Izuku was dumbstruck. "I am so lost right now."

"Don't worry about it, honey. Just know I am super, duper proud of you." Her face then turned serious, but raise your voice like that to me again and you're in big trouble mister." She glared at him and Izuku felt a shiver down his spin. "This was a one time thing, don't ever raise your voice against your mother." Izuku quickly nodded, knowing how scary his mother can be when she wants to be. "Also, bring a girlfriend home soon."

"O-Ok, mom."

"I'm being serious."

"I-I know mom..." Izuku said nervously, not even paying attention to what she had just said, he mostly wanted to make sure his mother would stop being so scary. Inko smiled at Izuku.

"I promise you, Izuku. I'll stop being such a worry wart."

Izuku smiled for a moment. "And...I p-promise to try not to be careless." He is not only going to do that for his and his mother's sake, he is going to do it for Kyoka's sake.

...

'Wait, she wants me to bring home a what?!'

Izuku and Kyoka were on the train on the way to U.A. Kyoka looked at Izuku with a smile. "I was a bit shocked to hear you raise your voice. You had me spooked for a moment there buddy." She said, lightly punching the boy's shoulder. She gave him a look. "Like no, seriously. You scared the shit out of me. I thought you were totally gonna get grounded."

"Heh...Don't get me wrong. I-I was totally not expecting that outcome..." Izuku nervously chuckled a bit. "But it all turned out okay in the end. We had some Katsudon after that and talked more." His face then grew more concerning. "She was very scared, especially after hearing the incident with Stain. Not that I told her we fought him."

Kyoka hummed. "Yea, my mom was also concerned when I got home. My dad too, but way worse than my mom. But nothing bad happened in the end." She sighed as the train stopped. The two got off the train with their belongings. "I wonder how everyone else's internships were..." She pondered as they walked into the school.

-

"PFFFFFT- HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Kyoka bursted out in laughter after seeing Katsuki Bakugou in his "New Form". His hair went from being spikes and explosive to comb back, neat and- "You look absolutely ridiculous! Hahahaha! I can't stop laughing!" Kyoka was cracking aloud along with Sero and Kirishima.

"Shut up, Ears! I'll kick your ass!" He shouted. "My hair got used to it so even if I wash it, it wont go back!" He was clearly angry and frustrated. "Keep talking and I'll kill you!" He continued to shout.

"Bruh, shut yo Side-Part Boy lookin ass up, hahaha! You ain't going to do shit to anybody looking like that!" Kyoka continued to poke fun of him, Sero and Kirishima laughing along with him.

"The hell did you say to me!" His hair exploded back to normal.

"It turned back, hahaha!"

Kyoka wiped a tear from her face. "Man that made my day."

"Easy for you to say..." Mineta said as he looked completely terrified. "Women are all monsters hiding their true personalities...."

"What....?" Kyoka and Izuku both said, wondering what the hell Mineta saw at Mt.Lady's agency.

"Hm, even if I helped deal with some villains...I would say the ones who developed the most from this would be..." Tsuyu paused before continuing. "Kyoka, Midoriya, Todoroki and Iida. Kero."

"Right! The hero killer!" Sero said.

"I am glad you guys made it out of there all well and alive." Kirishima revealed.

"I was really worried when I heard about it. It was a relief that Endeavor showed up." Yaoyorozu continued on the topic.

"As expected from the number 2 hero!" Mina implied with enthusiasm.

Kyoka gave a small smile. "Yea, if he weren't there, I don't know what would have happened."

"...Yeah. He saved us." Todoroki continued.

"Anyways, everyone get ready! As class is about to commence!" Iida shouted out to the entire class.

.

.

.

After a long day of normal classes, the hero course class came up. However it was not the usual Hero Course training everyone got used to. And it was definitely the day where a lot of people got hurt, in more ways than one.

Currently, Class 1-A, along with All Might were at one of the training grounds called field gamma. The assignment was apparently a rescue race, the students had to race each other in groups of five in a dense area filled with structures and factories laid out like a labyrinth. When All Might sends out the distress signal, all the members of the group will come in different directions, it's a race to see who will save him first.

"And lastly, the damage to buildings of course. Must. Be. Kept. At. Minimum." All Might said as he pointed at Bakugo, making everyone chuckle.

"Don't point at me..." The still aggravated ash-blonde ordered.

Iida raised a hand. "All Might, why isn't Midoriya here doing this assignment with us, but doing another one instead?" He shouted out, Kyoka was beside him. She was asking the same question, she couldn't help but worry about it.

-

"So...what am I supposed to do?" Izuku raised a brow in question. He was currently in one of the battle grounds, but separate from Field Gamma. He was surrounded by all the student's of Class 1-B.

"Play villain for a bit." Aizawa blandly said through a microphone before sighing. "This was Mr.Kan's idea, He said since 1-B didn't get much of a show off at the sports fest, this would be for fight training. Also, this will be an opportunity to see if there is a limit to how far your quirk can push itself." He continued. "Almost every quirk has its limit, you're a late bloomer and are therefore unsure of its limitations."

"Th-That...makes some sense at least..."

"Prepare yourself Midoriya!" Izuku looked to see the blonde teen from 1-B mocking him. "You are going to face the true power that is Class 1-B!"

Izuku sighed before readying his bat. Then he said something that sounded like something Kyoka would say.

"Sure, I don't mind knocking some dimwitted heads around."
