Biana POV:
"Tammy?"
"Biana!" Tam cried, pulling me into a crushing hug.
"Why am I in the Healing Center? What happened?" I asked. The last thing I remembered was Lady Gisela knocking me out.
"Well-"
"Oh thank goodness! You're awake!" Elwin shouted, rushing inside with a sphere of light in each hand. After he checked me and made me drink a few elixirs, Elwin left and Tam filled me in. By the end, a tear was running down my face.
"Hey." Tammy said, wiping the tear away. "Don't cry. You're safe now."
Safe. Safe. Safe.
The word echoed inside my head as I hugged him tightly.
Safe. Safe. Safe.
After we pulled away, I studied Tam's face and I realized that his eyes were red, he had dark circles under his eyes, and tear stains covered his cheeks.
"Have you slept at all?" I had to ask.
He grimaced. "Is that your way of telling me I look terrible?"
I giggled. "No, it's my way of telling you that you need to rest."
I laid down and patted the space beside me.
Tam sighed but dropped down next to me, and I snuggled right into his side.
Right before I fell asleep, Tammy looked into my eyes and whispered, "You're my first thought every morning and my last thought before I go to sleep. I want you to know that, and that no matter what you do, no matter what you chose, no matter which path you decide to take, I'll always be there with you and for you."
"Thank you, Tammy." I whisper back. "You're more than I deserve."
Then the world faded away.
*in the morning*
Tam POV:
There she was. Biana Vacker. Sleeping silently beside me.
She was so beautiful when she slept... What are you thinking, Tam? You should like a creepy stalker!
I sighed. This was how I always was around Biana...
Her scars caught my attention, and I traced my finger over them, humming to myself.
The humming turned into singing.
"She just wants to be, beautiful
She goes, unnoticed she knows, no limits"
It was a human song that Sophie had introduced to me a long time ago, when Bi was unconscious after Nightfall.
"She craves, attention she praises, an image
she prays to be, sculpted by the sculptor"
It always reminded me of Biana and all of the risks she took that day.
"Oh, she don't see, the light that's shining
Deeper than the eyes can find it
Maybe we have made her blind"
A lump formed in my throat as I thought of how easily she hid her pain and fear behind a smile and a laugh.
"So she tries to cover up her pain
And cut her woes away

I closed my eyes, remembering the day she told me she wasn't hiding her scars anymore.
"But there's a hope that's waiting for you in the dark

"That was amazing, Tammy."
My eyes popped open to see Biana still beside me, but with her eyes open and focused on me.
I could feel my face turn red.
"Y-you heard that?"
Bi giggled as she said, "Stop being so nervous. Yes, I heard it, and you're an amazing singer."
"Thanks-"
"BIANA YOU'RE AWAKE THANK MALLOWMELT I WAS SO WORRIED ARE YOU OKAY HOW ARE YOU FEELING?"
And of course, as always, Fitz interrupted the moment.
He burst through the doors of the Healing Center, almost knocking down Elwin, who'd just come out if his lab, as he crushed Biana with a hug.
"Oof! Fitzy, get off!"
"Sorry I just..." he pulled back and wiped his eyes. "I was afraid I'd almost lost you again."
"She did come pretty close." Elwin confirmed as he flashed a few more lights around Bi.
Fitz's eyes landed on me as he said, "Hey, Tam... can we talk?"
"Umm sure?"
That's odd. I thought as he led me out into the hallway.
"So..." Fitz mumbled. "I just... wanted to thank you. For... you know, staying with my sister and helping her and stuff."
"Of course. You don't have to thank me for that. She means the world to me you know."
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's the real thing I need to talk to you about."
I swallowed nervously. This would be... interesting.
Fitz cleared his throat.
"I can see that you like her. And I can tell she means a lot to you. But I also know that she's really happy with you and that she loves you." he stepped closer, narrowing his eyes. "So if you hurt her in any way, I will end you. Understood?"
I nodded. The way he emphasized the word "end" was actually kinda scary.
He relaxed and stepped back. "Good."
I sighed with relief.
"Oh, and Fitz?"
"Yeah?"
"I won't kill you if you keep Linh happy. Deal?"
I knew it was short, but I knew from experience that a short message with the right words makes it even scarier. (It's true guys. You should try it sometime XD)
"D-deal."
"Good."
We walked back to the Healing Center, but of course, not everything works out the way we want.
Elwin was bloody and unconscious on the ground, Biana was no where to be seen, and the cot she'd been on was covered in blood as well.
No. No, no, not again.
"Biana..." I whispered.
Tears blurred my vision as I fell to my knees.
"Biana..."
After a few more tears fell, I wiped them away and got to my feet again.
They took Biana. And I'll make sure they pay.
