"You still haven't talk to her?" I asked Nyla.
She sighed and shook her head. "No, I guess being friends wasn't meant to be."
I pouted as I glanced at Nyla. I was picking her up from school and she looked so down. She told me that Kambree has been mute and just ignoring her.
I think there's more to the story but I don't want to press the issue.
"I think you should talk to her mom, maybe she can help." I suggested.
"I can't go to her house though." She said lowly.
"I just don't understand what I did. I've never had a real friend and when I finally get one she starts ignoring me outta nowhere." She groaned.
"I really think it's something going on behind it." I shrugged.
"Maybe, but I'm not gonna play detective when she doesn't want to talk to me. So I'll just move on like she did." She shrugged.
"Aww I'm sorry stank." I pouted
"It is what is." She shrugged.
I decided to drown the silence out with some Rod Wave.

"Ask yo daddy Seem." I sighed filling out paperwork.
"Man mama please." Ja'Seem begged.
I smacked my lips and groaned. "Bring me my damn phone."
He grinned and ran upstairs. Seconds later he came back with my phone and my card.
"Which one?" I asked.
"The yellow one." He replied.
Ja'Seem has been bugging me and his dad about a new game chair and the only reason I bought it was because he was rewarded with the highest math score in his grade.
"Piss me off and it's going back." I said.
"Thank you love you mama." He grinned kissing my cheek and running off.
"Mhm love you too." I waved off.
I was in the middle of applying for my cosmetology license. I only had three more classes to take and then I would officially be a cosmetologist.
Lex is even helping me with the classes so they're going by faster and quicker.
"Ma Ma." Raelyn whined rubbing her eyes.
"Yes baby?" I sighed once again.
"Da Da." She sniffled.
"JAMARI COME GET YOUR DAUGHTER!" I yelled.
"IM ON THE GAME!" He shouted back.
"IM ON THE GAME RAY!" He shouted again.
I kept ignoring him because he knew what I wanted.
Next thing you know he stomped down the stairs without a shirt and grey sweatpants.
"You ain't hear me say I was on the game?" He questioned.
"I did." I shrugged.
"Why she can't stay down here with you?" He frowned.
"Nigga she asking for you." I mugged.
"Da Da." Raelyn whined reaching to be picked up.
"FatFat I'm not picking you up, you can walk." He sighed.
Raelyn bussed out crying making me smack her lips.
"Jamari I'm trying to get my classes together, please get her." I sighed
He swiftly picked Raelyn up and carried her back upstairs.
"EWWWW SHE JUST THREW UP!" Jamari shouted.
I smirked and shook my head. It was now his turn. I hope she ain't getting sick again.
"Mama FatFat just threw up, want me to run her a bath?" Ja'Seem asked.
"Your dad can handle it, give me 20 minutes of silence baby please." I stated.
"Yes ma'am." He nodded running back to the game room.
Jamari Taylor
Age : 22
Houston , Texas
"Damn FatFat." I mugged wiping her face.
"Da Daaaaaa." She whined reaching for me.
"Uht Uht yo breath stank." I frowned holding my nose with one hand.
I carried her to her bathroom and sat her on the sink.
"DA DAAA." She cried reaching for me.
"Hold on baby, we gotta brush yo teeth." I chuckled.
I wet the toothbrush and applied the kids toothpaste.
"Open FatFat." I instructed.
She complied and allowed me to brush her teeth and tongue.
I was about to mouthwash her mouth but then I was like she probably swallow the shit.
"Pee Pee." FatFat said.
I smacked my lips and threw my head back. "Alright imma close my eyes and help you on the toilet."
She looked at me and frowned like I didn't know what I was talking about.
I closed my eyes tightly and helped her on the toilet. "Imma be right out here FatFat."
"No da da no leave." She whined.
"Baby ain going nowhere, see." I said standing in the doorway with my eyes still closed.
I try to explain to Raelyn that no man or anybody should look at her private areas. Even though she young I'm still trying to get her to understand. Even though I'm her dad I still don't feel comfortable with that. That's why Reagan bathe her.
"I finish." She giggled.
"RAY , CAN YOU COME WIPE HER?" I yelled.
"HEA I COME!" She shouted back.
Seconds later Reagan walked into the bathroom and wiped Raelyn with tissue and baby wipes and then pulled her clothes back up.
"She done?" I asked still with eyes shut.
"Yes nigga." Reagan said softly. She still had that baby voice.
"You done with that school shit?" I asked helping Raelyn wash her hands.
"Almost, I just have three classes I should be done by spring." She nodded.
"My li Maya Angelou." I smirked.

"You annoying." She blushed.
"C'mere." I said biting down on my lip.
"Noooooo, taking it slow remember?" She whined.
I pulled her by her neck and pecked her lips twice. "I L you."
"I L you too." She grinned skipping away.
"My Da Da." Raelyn mugged the door.
"Bring yo jealous on." I chuckled holding her hand.
I looked down as she cheesed walking like she wasn't just throwing up.
"Bubba can you take me to Kam's house?" Nyla asked me crying.
"Fuck wrong withchu?" I frowned.
"Please it's an emergency." She sniffled.
"C'mon." I mumbled.
She nodded and ran to put on her crocs.
I decided to take FatFat with me so I slid a jacket on her and put her yeezy slides on.
"We'll be back." I told Reagan.
"Where y'all going?" She asked pushing her glasses up.
"Finna take Nyla to this girl house." I sighed.
Nyla ran down the stairs and out the door.
I pecked Reagan's lips and then walked out the door with Raelyn.
I got in the driver seat and passed Raelyn to Nyla since her booster seat was in the house.
After I started the engine I sped off to Kambree's house.
"TT no cwy." Raelyn frowned.
"I'm okay Fat." Nyla sniffled.
I glanced at Nyla and shook my head.
"Is it something I need to know before we get there?" I asked.
Nyla sniffled and sighed. "I think he killed her."
