The Time Twins and Vermillion bring Wu to their Vermillion Dome of Doom.
"Such balance. Such power. When Ninjago is finally under our rule, they will sing songs about our triumph today, brother, and—" Krux loudly gloated. "Oh, you're so right, brother." Acronix said, interrupting Krux. It would be nice to have some songs about their triumph.
"How you doing back there, Wu? Perhaps he's gone deaf with old age." Acronix mocked the old man. Wu was unable to walk very fast and was being carried by two Vermillion. "Unfortunately, no. I can hear every one of your attempts at humour." Wu said.
"Move it, old man." Machia hissed from behind the convo and they began moving once more.
"This stinks. She got the Time Blade back. Totally made us look bad with Krux and Acronix." Blunck grumbled. "I wouldn't worry about it. They still need us." Raggmunk said dismissing Blunk.
"Commander Blunck. Commander Raggmunk. We need you!" Krux said, summoning the pair.
"See?" Raggmunk said to Blunck. "Coming." Raggmunk responded to the summons.
"As you know, my brother and I had been worried about the leadership of the Vermillion Warriors. And this mission certainly did not go as planned. The idea was simply to obtain the Time Blade. But now we are carrying a prisoner." Krux said eyeing Wu.
"Here it comes." Blunck said with a smirk. "Someone's in trouble." Raggmunk said a joyful tone in his voice.
"Commander Machia, your initiative in capturing the Ninjas' Master impressed us. You are promoted to the rank of Supreme Commander of the Vermillion Army." Acronix said.
"I am honoured." Machia said accepting the new position with grace and humility.
"Commanders Blunck and Raggmunk will report directly to you." Krux ordered.
"What? Undeserved." Raggmunk bitterly hissed under his breath. "So unfair." Blunck pouted. "Did you say something!?" Machia hissed at the pair.
"Well deserved." Raggmunk lied in a chipper tone. "So unfair... that it took so long." Blunck quickly added.
"Isn't all this celebrating and promoting a bit premature? My Ninjas are still out there." Wu said confidently. "Six of them against all this? They have no leader. They have no Time Blades. They have no chance." Krux sneered.
"One can only imagine how helpless they must feel. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost." Acronix said. The Army laughs. Acronix's BorgWatch beeps.
"What are you doing?" Krux growled at his brother. "Sharing this with all my Instabook followers. Achieved...total...victory." Acronix said typing away on his phone.
"Why must you ruin every good moment with your modern techno-garbage?" Krux lamented. "And why must you be so stubborn about staying in the ancient past?" Acronix argued.
Krux let out a bitter sigh and turned to the newly appointed Supreme Commander. "Retrieve the girl. She's going to want to be here to see what we have to offer." Krux instructed.
Supreme Commander Machia bowed to her masters. "I shall retrieve her at once." Supreme Commander Machia said and left to complete her task. Unaware that a pair of red eyes watches them all.
"Splendid thinking brother." Acronix agreed. "We can have her sing songs about our triumph in the meanwhile."
"That too." Krux said. "But she'll not want to miss this golden opportunity to find Eris' killer."
"Why drag (Y/N) into this?" Wu asked correctly, deducting whom the brothers were talking about.
"Why should we be the only ones to achieve our revenge for suffering at the hands of the Elemental Masters?" Krux coldly stated. Vermillion behind them all laughing sinisterly when he did.
(Third Person P.O.V)

"Hey. This fight is as far from over. I know we had a setback, but-" Lloyd continued to give a speech to the team. "It's always darkest before the dawn. Blah, blah, blah. Come on, let's get going already, okay?" Kai said, cutting Lloyd off.
"Kai!" Nya scolded her brother. "We don't need a pep talk. We need action." Kai declared.
"I agree. They actually gave us a break by taking the Time Blade." Lloyd said. "How is that a break?" Cole questioned the green ninja. "If any of you captured something that powerful, what would you do?" Lloyd said.
"Um, immediately haul it back home to show off to you guys?" Jay said with a smile. "Right! And unless I miss my guess, that's exactly where the Hands of Time are headed as we speak. Their home." Lloyd said.
"So if we can find the Time Blade..." Cole said. "... We can find Acronix and Krux's base." Zane said, finishing Cole's thought.
"Hey. Think you can locate the Blade with your temporal scanner?" Lloyd asked Zane. "Attempting access. Hmm. I am afraid it was damaged when we fought the Vermillion Warriors." Zane reported.
Jay let out a laugh. "I fail to see the humour, Jay." Zane said shaking his head at the Master of Lightning.
"I still think Vermillion Warriors is a stupid name." Jay said with another laugh.
"I could see if the scanner on the Destiny's Bounty still works." Nya suggested. "Yes. Good thinking, Nya." Lloyd said. "And the rest of you should go to the museum. Krux hid in plain sight there as Dr Saunders for forty years. I'll bet there's a clue where their secret headquarters is." Nya said.
"Okay, let's split up." Lloyd said. "Uh, I'll help you, sis." Kai said. "Well, one question. How are we supposed to get to the museum? Our vehicles got trashed by the snakes." Cole pointed out the flaw in their plans.
"Kai and I have our old bikes." Nya said. "What about Lloyd and Zane?" Kai asked.
"How's the Super Sonic Raider Jet." Lloyd asked Jay. "Uh, actually, hehe, my dad's still kind of working on that." They glance over at the Super Sonic Raider jet before a butterfly lands on it, destroying it again.
"We can take the Lightning Bike. If we squish together." Jay offered instead.
"Jay! Come look at what your father found!" Edna called out to her son. The Ninjas quickly head inside and Edna reveals a small ship.
"The Destiny's Shadow." Zane says reading the name plack aloud. "There's a card attached." Ed stated and handed it over. "It's addressed to Lloyd."
Lloyd carefully opens the card almost bursting into tears. Inside was a picture of Lloyd and his father and the message on the card said.
"Lloyd. Happy birthday, love your father." Lloyd read aloud and clutched the card to his chest. Lloyd silently wiped a stray tear that dripped down his face.
"I wish Master Wu could have seen this." Zane said aloud. "Oh, he will. We'll get him back sooner or later." Lloyd declared putting the photo in his pocket.
"It is the later part I am worried about." Zane said. "Huh? Uh...what does that mean?" Jay asked the Master of Ice.
Zane hesitated for a moment. "I believe that when Wu fought Acronix alone at the temple, he was struck with a punch powered by the Time Blade. The hit unleashed the forward energy of time onto him, and the effect is rapidly aging him. Of course." Zane said.
"And the super-long old-guy beard." Jay gasps. "I don't even know if the effect can be reversed." Zane said.
"Then we better get moving." Lloyd said climbing aboard the Destiny's Shadow. "Good hunting, son. Stay safe." Edna said waving goodbye to Jay. "I will." Jay said waving back to his mother.
"Any time now." Zane said to Lloyd. "It's a lot of buttons." Lloyd said. Lloyd finally gets the engine started and flies away. While Kai and Nya are inspecting what is left of the Bounty.
"Pretty lucky, Lloyd agreed to let you split from the group. Almost like you had something in mind." Kai said.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Nya lied. "You still want to find out who's got your Samurai X suit, don't you?" Kai said in a knowing tone.
"After we fix the scanners, of course." Nya said. "Oh, yes, of course." Kai said, his voice full of scepticism. "You're fixated, sis." Kai snorted. "Says the guy still carrying around the snake helmet." Nya snapped back.
"What is it, Kai? Something's been bothering you. Is everything okay?" Nya asked. "When I was fighting Dr Saunders-Krux. He told me something. Something you need to know." Kai sighs and shows her the helmet's symbol.
"This stamp. Do you know who it belongs to?" Kai prompted. "No." Nya said after inspecting the helmet. "Our father." Kai said letting it sink in for his little sister.
"A blacksmith puts his stamp on everything he makes. And our father's mark is on every Vermillion Warrior helmet we found." Kai said, explaining the symbol.
"So...?" Nya said. "So it means that our father must have once worked for the Hands of Time." Kai said. "Kai, that doesn't make any sense." Nya said. "Sure it does. Krux told me our parents were traitors. What better way to betray the Elemental Masters than to forge armour for their enemies?" Kai said.
"And you believe Krux?" Nya said full of scepticism.
"What about the painting at the museum? Where the Elemental Masters were fighting the Hands of Time?" Kai pointed out. "Yeah?" Nya said. "Mum and Dad were the only ones not in it." Kai pointed out.
"No. I refuse to believe our parents were villains without real proof!" Nya yelled at her brother. In a fit of anger, Kai punches the Bounty's onboard computer and it turns on.
"What do you know? I thought that only worked in cartoons. Fire it up!" Nya said. The machines go out again. "I can still work with that." Nya said. It suddenly bursts into flames.
"Face it. The scanners are toast." Kai said fanning away the smoke. "What do we do now?" Nya said. "Join up with the others at the museum, I guess." Kai sighed and they got on their bikes. "Ready?" Kai asked.
"Yes. Although...I might make a quick detour along the way. Before you say it, no. I am not obsessed with the Samurai X suit. I just need to know." Nya sighs. "Okay, I am obsessed. Just-You have to cover for me with the guys."
"All right. We'll split up. Because I need to take a side trip of my own." Kai agreed.
(Third Person P.O.V)

"Whoa! Ugh! I have no idea what any of these buttons do. And it doesn't come with a user's manual." Lloyd said.
"On it." Zane reported. "The Destiny's Shadow has four offensive weapons, seven defensive systems, five transformative reconfigurations, and one mini-fridge." Zane said.
"Beverage?" Zane offered. "Uh, maybe later." Lloyd said as they arrived at the museum.
(Third Person P.O.V)

Kai quietly enters the Four Weapons Blacksmith shop.
"Home." Kai said with a nostalgic sigh. If only it was for a happier reason.
Kai reaches for the gong with the same symbol as the one he'd found on the helmet. "I knew it." Kai gasped.
"What does this mean? What does this mean!?" Kai said. Kai bangs it and a trapdoor opens. Inside he finds a strange Blade as well as another helmet. "What else were you making down here, Father?" Kai said inspecting the Blade before returning to the helmets.
Kai compares both helmets. "Old, new. How did I not put it together? There's only one person who could possibly understand what I'm going through." Kai said.

Nya walked into Skylor's Noodle House with complete confidence.
She'd done it. She'd figured out the identity of imposter Samurai X. It had to be Skylor! Nya was so sure of this. Now all she had to do was wait at the noodle shop for Skylor to return and she'd have her proof.
But Nya is shocked to see none other than Skylor herself bring dishes to two tables one filled with ghosts and the other pirates.
"I don't suppose she just got here seconds before I did." Nya asked. Everyone shook their heads no. Nya let out a bitter sigh. "Well, I guess I could head back to the cave and see if I missed anything." Nya bitterly sighed to herself.
Nya turned to leave when she spotted (Y/N) with her nose buried in several books.
"Oh, um. Hi (Y/N)..." Nya said. But (Y/N) didn't look up. "I wouldn't bother trying Nya." Skylor said, dropping off a bowl of noodles to (Y/N) to eat. "She's hyper-focused on finding Eris' murder. It would need to be something pretty big to get her attention." Skylor pointed out.
The doors open and in slithers Supreme Commander Machia. Nya and Skylor immediately go into defensive positions but the Vermillion ignored them and slithered right past the pair without a single glance.
Supreme Commander Machia stared at (Y/N) for a few moments but she still didn't look up. Supreme Commander Machia hissed at her and (Y/N) hissed back still not taking her eyes off her book. This stunned Nya and Skylor.
Supreme Commander Machia hissed again and this time (Y/N) looked up from her book and started what looked like to everyone in the restaurant a conversation... In serpent?
"Clancee you're a Serpentine. What are they saying?" Flintlocke questioned the green hybrid.
Clancee made a quiet hiss. As though he was a small child asking to interrupt. Supreme Commander Machia turned to his direction and let out a loud hiss startling Clancee.
(Y/N) immediately got up in Machia's face letting out a series of loud dangerous sounding hisses.
Morro lifted up the tablecloth of the table Clancee was now hiding under. "Well?" Morro asked. "Ah the Vermillion told me not to interrupt and (Y/N) is getting up in her face because she yelled at me." Clancee explained before going back to hiding under the table.
"I'm going to guess that things such as this are the reason she relearnt serpent from Dareth." Morro said, dropping the table cloth.
"Do we need to step in?" Flintlocke asked his beloved. "No, the captain has this under control." Dogshank calmly stated. "You sure?" Wrayth asked as the hissing got louder. Bansha loudly snorted. "Trust us, she's fine."
Everyone else turns to look back at Supreme Commander Machia and (Y/N) still angrily hissing at each other.
"I hope you're right." Master Chen says snacking on some food as he watches the pair argue. "I'm not sure if the insurance has been moved into Skylor's name yet."
(Third Person P.O.V)

The trio of Ninjas had spread out to look for clues. And so far their search had turned up nothing.
"Nothing?" Lloyd asked.
"Negative." Zane reported.
"Argh. This is a waste of time. There's nothing here but old junk." Jay said knocking over a display. Jay almost breaks the displays but Zane catches them.
"Jay! You want to take it easy? I know that's Krux's stuff, but some of it is priceless." Lloyd scolded Jay. "Bill me! That guy went after my parents. If he was here I'd be breaking more than his pottery." Jay says as he throws a large bowl, which Zane dives and catches.
"Looks like you're fully functional again." Lloyd said with a smile. "Yes. It is good to be back." Zane said, putting the large bowl back.
"How about you, Cole? Earth Punch under control?" Lloyd asked the Master of Earth. "Oh, yeah. I am totally dialled in." Cole gloated and almost immediately accidentally breaks the wall.
"Oh, uh, okay. Mostly totally dialled in." Cole chuckled nervously. "Guys! There's a secret room." Lloyd said after inspecting the wall Cole broke. "Yeah! Heh. 'Cause, obviously I meant to do that." Cole lied.
"I don't believe it." Lloyd gasped as he and Zane walked up to a tank of Vermillion eggs. "What's this?" Lloyd said aloud. "It appears to be a breeding tank for snake eggs." Zane reported after studying the tank.
"Look! Plans for armour, weapons, and a bunch of I-don't-know-what." Jay said coming across some designs.
"What's interesting is what is not here. No computer. No modern equipment of any kind." Zane exclaimed after examining the room to find the missing amenities.
"Got something." Cole said and opened a door to the sewer system. "Whoa! A hidden door inside a hidden lab? This must lead to someplace important." Lloyd said covering his face to hide from the smell.
"Hee hee. Hopefully not to a bathroom that Krux really didn't like to share." Jay trying not to gag.
"We're going down there, aren't we? It looks pretty gross." Cole loudly complained about being forced to enter the sewage system. "What other choice do we have?" Lloyd said as they reluctantly went inside. "Kai and Nya better be suffering too." Cole complained.
(Third Person P.O.V)

At Mr Chen's Noodle House everyone's phones started beeping and ringing. "Hmm. Guess the phones are back up." Master Chen comments as restaurant-goers start obsessively tapping away and the phones.
The noise is enough to get Supreme Commander Machia and (Y/N) to stop angry hissing at each other.
Nya quickly pulls out her phone to text her brother. Warning him that one of the snakes was at Skylor restaurant arguing with (Y/N).
Kai's message read: On my way!
(Y/N) and Supreme Commander Machia's hissing lowered in volume.
"Clancee?" Morro prodded. "Oh um. They're being civil." Clancee explained. Still hiding under the table.
"About?" Skylor prompted. "Ah, the Hands of Time are requesting that (Y/N) come see them." Clancee translated. "Says that they have something (Y/N) will want to see for herself."
"I can guess about what." Nya stated. "Do not interfere, Ninja." Supreme Commander Machia hissed at Nya in english.
"All of you stay somewhere it is safe." (Y/N) advised as she gathered up some of the books she'd been reading.
"We're not going with you?" Morro questioned. "I have been informed that I am the only one invited. No one else may come with." (Y/N) summarised for the others.
"(Y/N) don't go with them. They've already kidnapped Wu. Who knows what they're planning on doing with you." Nya pointed out.
"They've taken Wu?" Morro questioned. Supreme Commander Machia nods. "Do not interfere Nya." (Y/N) warned. "It will get messy."
"But!" Nya objected. "Nya. Don't." Skylor urged. "There are civilians in here. People could get hurt." Skylor pleaded with the Master of Water.
"See that we are not followed." (Y/N) instructed her team as she walked out the door with Supreme Commander Machia.
Nya waits for a beat then makes a break for the front door. Dogshank moves to block it. But Nya slides underneath her and out the door.
"After her! Now!" Morro orders. The ghosts minus Chen go through the wall while the Sky Pirates minus Monkey Wrench and Clancee stay behind.
Clancee lets out a sigh at the sight of the mess left behind in the rush. Clancee immediately procures a mob and bucket and starts cleaning.
"Just another day in Ninjago." Skylor sighs and helps herself to the uneaten bowl of noodles meant for (Y/N).
Morro and Doubloon head Nya off. Morro with Airjitzu Doubloon with Spinjitzu.
"Not so fast water ninja." Morro ordered. Nya summoned her water and readied herself for an attack. "You? A ghost. Thinks they can stop the Master of Water?" Nya scoffs at the Master of Wind.
"I don't need to." Morro stated as Doubloon stepped forward and knocked the Master of Water back with Spinjitzu. Right into Dogshank.
"The Captain said to make sure she isn't followed. Perhaps you should have listened to her request." Dogshank scolded Nya as she stood over the Master of Water.
Dogshank waited for Nya to get up off the group before she decked her. "Don't be so rash Dogshank." Morro stated. "I want to talk with her while we do our duty to our lovely lady."
"You're not going to hurt her too badly are you?" Flintlocke asked the ghost. Knowing all too well what his Buttercup felt about unfair fights. "It's really up to her whether or not I'll hurt her. But I might." Morro howled in laughter as Nya struggled to set herself upright on her feet.
"Go to the underworld!" Nya barked at him. Morro raised an eyebrow. "Feisty aren't you? And here everyone thought that you were some kind of a sweetheart." Morro mocked the Master of Water.
Morro evades a stream of water from Nya with ease. The Sky Pirates surround her with the ghost's circling the outside.
Nya decides to rush Morro but Doubloon kicks at her legs to knock the Ninja off balance and slams her into the ground.
"Then again, Nya. You did prove just how unreliable the Ninjas were as friends through your manipulations. Perhaps you did wind up helping (Y/N) in some twisted way." Morro stated.
Nya gets back up and unleashes a stream of water at Morro which the Master of Wind redirects right back at Nya with his mastery of the wind.
"Don't act like you're the victim, Nya. She already hates you anyways." Morro cruelly stated.
"I'm not being a victim. It's called regret, something that you should learn." Nya tilted her mask to cover her eyes, hiding the forming tears.
"And trust me, the first thing I did after coming back to my senses was apologising. Even if she hates me for the rest of my damn life, at least she'll know I regret my actions." Nya stated.
"It's a start. But a fat load of good that'll do any of you ninjas." The Master of Wind scoffed. Nya tries to engage Morro in hand-to-hand but is knocked down by Morro's wind.
"I've apologised for what I did and even though I've worked for the person that's hurt her the most, she's forgiven me." Morro said with a bone-chilling grin on his face.
"You know why?" Morro taunted the Master of Water. "Because actions speak louder than words." Morro delivers a powerful strike that knocks the Master of Water down again, the fight was over.
"Come on. We've given her the distance she needs. Jobs done." Morro orders and turns to leave. Just as Skylor comes out and helps Nya inside her noodle shop.
"You ok?" Skylor asked Nya as she helped her limp inside. "Yeah. No. Maybe?" Nya struggled to explain. "Physically I'm fine. Just pulled a muscle. But what about (Y/N)?" Nya said as Skylor helped her to her seat.
"That girl is the granddaughter of the greatest Anacondrai General to ever exist. She'll be just fine." Master Chen called out to the pair. "Daddy just focus on cooking. I've got this." Skylor responded with a slight scolding tone towards her father.

The Samurai X imposter silently returns to Nya's Samurai X Cave.
After some searching, the Samurai X imposter silently taps away on their Borgwatch. Sending a message to an accomplice that read: You were right. The Vermillion Warriors didn't wreck everything.
The Samurai X imposter then takes a photo with their Borgwatch. Sending them a photo of what they had discovered. The Samurai VXL.
The Samurai X imposter then received a message: Aw. Nice. Could use a new colour though.
"Hmm. A new colour." The Samurai X imposter said aloud. Their voice obviously distorted thanks to a voice filter.
(Third Person P.O.V)

Kai leapt off his bike and ran into Skylor's Noodle House with a panicked look on his face. He didn't even know where to start. How was he even going to be able to tell Nya? "Kai! Over here!" Nya said waving her brother over.
"(Y/N) and the Serpent?" Kai asked, looking around the shop. But the only Serpent around was Clancee who was cleaning up the mess left behind. "Gone." Nya stated. Kai let out a deep sigh.
"I was so sure you were Samurai X." Nya sighed in defeat. "Sorry to disappoint." Skylor chuckles at Nya's disappointment.
"Then I still don't know who Samurai X is. I don't believe it." Nya sighed as Kai took a seat. "We can solve that riddle later. Nya, I have news for you. And it's not good." Kai said.
"I'm going to get some noodles." Skylor said leaving to get more noodles and to give the pair some space.
"I went back to the blacksmith shop. What Krux told me is true. Our parents were indeed traitors." Kai said unable to lift his head to look his sister in the eye.
"No. They couldn't have been." Nya objected. It was impossible. There was no way it was true. It couldn't be.
"They were. And still are. Nya. Our parents... they're alive." Kai said, handing his sister the rusty helmet.
"But... That's impossible. A rusty old helmet. So?" Nya said dismissing Kai's discovery.
"So!? This one is new." Kai said, shoving the new and very shiny helmet into his sister's hands. "Our dad is still making them. Which can only mean..." Kai said unable to finish the statement.
"...Our father is still alive..." Nya said in shock. "And working for the Hands of Time. But here's the worst part. What does that mean for us? Are we destined to turn evil?" Kai questioned his sister.
Skylor comes back with two bowls of fresh noodles." Of course not. Our parents leave behind their legacies, not our destinies. We choose whom we become. Noodles? Nice and hot. They always cheer me up." Skylor said, offering Kai some noodles.
"No thanks. I've lost my appetite." Kai said, letting out a deep groan.
