Narrator's POV
"Why are we going to your house?" Somin asked as Jongkook parked his car. He shrugged. "For fun, I guess," He answered casually. She rolled her eyes and went out of the car. As they talked on their way up, Somin got a call. It was from her brother. "Oh? Wookmin-ah?" Somin called out, surprised that he was calling her in broad daylight.
"Noona...what is this article? Is it true?" Wookmin asked with a hint of astonishment. "What do you mean?" Somin stepped out of the elevator and stopped her tracks. It made Jongkook stop his tracks too as he looked at her with confusion. "Jongkook hyung and...you?" Wookmin answered with hesitation.
Somin's eyes widened at his words and she looked up quickly, meeting Jongkook's eyes. With her reaction, Jongkook was both confused and worried that it might be something cruel. "I'll...talk to you later, Wookmin," She said softly as she heard him call out to her one more time before she ended the call. "What?" Jongkook asked. "Article...the both of us...revealed...already," She mumbled, as she couldn't put her words in a full sentence.
Jongkook went silent for a few seconds before he took a step closer to her, lifting her chin up to meet his gaze. "It was bound to happen sooner or later," He explained. "But, oppa. This fast? What are the fans going to say? What are people going to say? I can't just sit back and think everything is going to be fine," She replied with an anxious tone as she looked around, looking all nervous.
"I told you that I'll stay by your side through everything. I don't care what people say about us, Somin, as long as we're happy. Don't you think that matters more?" He comforted her. For a moment, she searched his eyes carefully, only to find that his eyes were telling her to not worry. "Now, let's go inside, alright?"
He grabbed her hand and they entered his house. Both of them were still speechless. They needed to let the news of their relationship being revealed sink in their thoughts. Somin laid down on the couch, closing her eyes and thoughts filled her mind. Jongkook glanced at her and decided to let her rest before making apple juice for the both of them.
Somin felt her phone buzzed and she looked at the caller ID to see Jihyo's name. She gulped down her saliva and answered the call. "Oh, unnie..." She greeted with a soulless tone. "Somin-ah, what's with your tone?" Jihyo asked with worry. "It's nothing. Why did you call me, unnie?" Somin questioned. "I saw the article. Did you?" Jihyo said carefully.
"Wookmin told me about it but I haven't seen it," She answered. "Why didn't you tell me about you and Jongkook oppa? It's sad that you didn't tell me personally," Jihyo sulked playfully as Somin laughed softly. "I'm sorry, unnie. I heard from Kwangsoo oppa that you already figured us out on your own so I didn't feel the need to tell you, since you were already so smart. Figuring us out so fast," She elaborated. Jihyo chuckled.
"Are you happy?" A simple question made Somin let out a small smile. She sat up from the couch and glanced at Jongkook who was busy making juice. "I'm happy," She said as she stared at him. "Can't believe my members are dating each other. What a plot twist for the fans, huh? I wish you guys a happy relationship. If Jongkook is being a jerk, tell me, alright? I'll beat his ass," Jihyo coolly replied, making Somin laughed harder than before.
"Thank you, unnie. Go and get a boyfriend already!" Somin playfully teased her. "Currently, I'm tired of men but I am eyeing a person right now too. Will tell you all about it next time. I'm having a shoot for my new drama right now so I'll get going! Bye, Somin," Jihyo sweetly said her goodbye. "Bye, unnie," Somin responded before she hung up the call.
"Was that Jihyo?" Jongkook asked as Somin nodded. He sighed. "Now, we'll have to get ready for all of our friends to call us. That's the con for a relationship being revealed," Jongkook explained. Somin snickered. "Seems like you are a pro at this kind of things, huh?" She sarcastically stated. "Well, sure. I guess so," He jokingly answered.
"Whatever," She stood up and stretched her body. Jongkook placed down the two apple juice on the living room table. "Oh, thank you," Somin gulped down the juice, finishing it in 10 seconds. "What the hell?" Jongkook looked at her with the same expression as his words. Somin giggled. "I went to the karaoke, remember?" She gave a thumbs up for the juice.
Jongkook rolled his eyes. "Yeah, fun stuff with Donghae," He scoffed. "Are you still mad?" She nudged his shoulders playfully. "Uh, what? Am I? I guess you'll never know," He shrugged his shoulder and took a sip of the apple juice. Right at that moment, his phone buzzed, only to see Hong Jinyoung's caller ID. Somin glanced at the phone and arched her eyebrows. Jongkook hesitantly answered the call.
"Oppa!" Jongkook's eyebrows frowned at her loud voice as he distanced his phone from his ear by a couple of inches. "Yeah?" He answered. "You were with Somin the whole time? Since when? Why didn't you tell me? Were you together with her when I visited you the last time?" Questions kept on coming which made Jongkook cringe. "Too many questions. Can't answer all but yeah, I was with Somin the whole time," Jongkook answered.
Somin, who was listening too, laughed at Jinyoung's questions. The woman is really energetic. "Isn't she just your colleague at first? I'm surprised you'd date her," Jinyoung's statement made Somin frowned. "What are you even talking about?" Jongkook glanced at Somin and tried to keep Jinyoung from blabbering even more. "I don't know. I thought I'd be more of your style," Jinyoung stated.
"Stop talking nonsense," Jongkook cleared his throat and tried to scoot away, only to have Somin follow him. "You're the one who said it yourself! You clearly said that I was closer to your type and you rather have a relationship with someone you don't have business with," Jinyoung exclaimed, sounding proud. Jongkook quickly stood up and glanced at Somin, who seemed surprised.
"But I'm with Somin now and that's all that matters. I hope you are not calling me to prove that you'd be a better choice. Please don't bring this up anymore, okay? Goodbye," He quickly hung up the call. "Ah, that woman..." He complained under his breath. He looked at Somin as she fiddled with her hands.
"Don't take it to your heart," He told her. Somin shooked her head. "Don't worry," She gave him a bitter smile. He sat back down and leaned onto the couch comfortably. "She's really your type?" Somin asked suddenly. "I told you to not take it to your heart," Jongkook repeated. "I know. I'm just asking," She crossed her arms and leaned onto the couch too.
"On the program 'My Little Old Boy', one of my friends asked me to choose one of the four woman he suggested that is closest to my type. There was Kang Hanna, Lee Dahee, Song Jihyo and Hong Jinyoung," He said carefully. "All four of them are totally different. Hanna is witty. Dahee is playful. Jihyo is charming. Jinyoung is bubbly," He continued as he summarised their main points.
"Jinyoung is close to my ideal type that time. Bubbly, cheerful and cute is totally my style but does it really matter now, though? In the end, I'm with you," He suddenly tried to change the subject to the both of them. Somin arched an eyebrow. "Am I not that? Bubbly, cheerful and cute?" She playfully asked him. "You are exactly that and more but you weren't one of the suggestions. I'd choose you," He charmingly said, making Somin blush and laugh.
Another call came in from Jongkook, which made him sigh. "Let's turn off our handphones for an hour. I'm too tired to talk," He suggested and quickly turned off his handphone. Somin nodded and also turned off her handphone.
"Now, what will we do?" Somin asked him as she was getting bored. "Now, we will go to my bedroom," He declared, making her flinched. "W...what?" She stuttered, flustered at his words. "To cuddle. What are you thinking about?" A laugh escaped his lips as he saw her face getting red.
"You're weird but I guess I like that thought too," He added as he stood up and went to his bedroom, leaving Somin all flustered once again with his words. She cleared her throat and awkwardly walked to his room. She saw Jongkook sitting down on an office chair as he wrote something on a journal.
Somin peeked at what he was writing but he covered the journal with his arm. She pouted and nudged him before getting onto his bed. She laid down and playfully spread her arms and legs as big as possible, not leaving any space for Jongkook to get on. She heard him stood up and she closed her eyes, pretending to sleep. "Move," He demanded, shaking her arm.
"Hey," He shook her arms once more. He smirked and leaned in. He tickled her out of a sudden, making her eyes widen and she stifled her laughter. "No, oppa. Wait. Stop," She mumbled through her laughters, sitting up and backed away from him. He finally got onto the bed and pulled her, making her fall into his embrace. She punched his chest as he winced jokingly.
Both of them laid down in silence. Somin placed her head onto the pillow as both of them faced each other. Jongkook scanned her face, from her eyes to her lips. He tucked her hair behind her ear, carefully moving onto her eyes. He caressed her eyebrows and trailed down from her nose to her soft lips. Heat rose to Somin's cheeks as he scanned her face.
A smile overtook her face. She stopped his actions and held his hand, interlocking their fingers. Jongkook's heart twisted as he fondly looked at her. Somin closed her eyes, cherishing the peaceful moment. Suddenly, she felt his lips on hers. Her eyes fluttered open, only to be closing them back.
At first, the kiss was soft and gentle but as Jongkook's lips devoured hers suddenly, she felt surprised. She felt him move his position. He rested his body onto his elbow as he sat up a little to kiss her. It made Somin sit up too. As they did that, they didn't break the intense kiss. Somin leaned onto the headboard as Jongkook cupped her face, pulling her in closer.
Jongkook's hands slowly moved towards her waist, gripping on it. Somin broke the kiss and proceeded to straddle his lap. Jongkook then comfortably leaned onto the headboard. She quickly locked their lips together, making Jongkook surprised with her eager manner. As Jongkook caressed her jawline, she hummed. He placed his hands on her back, making her arch. Jongkook's cheeks went warm when he felt her tongue grazed his. He felt his heart tingled as she moved her hands to his hair, wrapping her arms around his neck, leaving no space at all between them.
She worked her mouth against his, their tongues dominating each other, tangling up as they felt the room becoming warmer. He sighed into the kiss as he pulled away. Both of them stared at each other with swollen lips and dilated pupils. Jongkook gulped and cupped her face, gently caressing her cheeks.
"The thought that went into your mind when I suggested to go to my bedroom, are you willing to do it?" His voice was deep and serious as his breaths were low and steady. Somin stroked his lips and kissed it gently. Jongkook gripped onto her waist as she did that, feeling relieved. "That's my answer."
