A Week Later
It's now been about a week later, and I'm dreading tomorrow.
After Johnny let Kreese be involved with Cobra Kai, my anxiety levels are going up bad. I just really think Johnnys making a mistake.
When Johnny came home after letting Kreese in, I was so mad at him for letting that happen. I eventually just calmed down and let it go.
But the thing is, Johnnys naive-Kreese could be faking it. I know he doesn't want to do anything bad, he just feels bad for Kreese.
Early this week at the dojo he gave Miguel and Hawk, and the kids, a big lecture about mercy.
Since Miguel and Hawk were fighting dirty, he's making everyone start from the beginning-Which is a good thing because fighting dirty is bad.
Yesterday I went to help Daniel and Robby fix up, amazingly, Mr. Miyagis old place. It was so surreal to see it again, especially with Daniel.
I actually didn't end up telling him about how Kreese is back, I wasn't really sure if I should tell him or not.
And Robby seems cool with me dating his dad, I thought maybe he'd be a little mad at me but it seems to be the opposite.
Anyways, me and Johnny have officially moved in together so it's been nice to have someone to live with. I haven't lived with someone since my last 'marriage', which we didn't even get married.
Johnny also got his car that Daniel paid for all Cobra Kai decked out. It's pretty badass if you ask me.
I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. "Heyy, where are you going?" I heard a whining Johnny say from the bed.
I chuckled softly and turned around, "I'm gonna make some coffee." I said as I walked out of the room.
"Then can you come back to bed?" He asked, I could almost hear the smile. I smiled as I got two coffee cups out and started making coffee.
"Only if you allow me to add some of that beer in the fridge to my coffee to get me through tomorrow." I said as I poured the coffee into our cups.
I heard him sigh from the other room. "Serena, I really think he's changed.
I scoffed and carried the coffees as I walked back into the bedroom.
"Bad people don't change, I don't think he has a good bone in his damn body." I said as I handed him a coffee.
He shook his head as he took a sip. I set my coffee down and crawled back into bed.
"You don't know that for sure. He deserves a second chance." He said as he set his coffee down.
I didn't say anything I just stared at him. He put his hand on my cheek and rubbed it.
"You don't need to worry, I won't let anything bad happen to you or Cobra Kai." He said with a smile.
"What about you? I'm sure as hell not gonna let anything happen to you either." I said sternly.
He smiled even more, "That's why I love you." He said and then planted his lips on mine.
I smiled and kissed him more, I then pulled away to get another look at him.
I just stared in silence. "What's wrong now?" He asked. I sighed and flipped onto my back, now staring at the ceiling.
"I just have this gut feeling that you're making a mistake." I said without looking at him.
He didn't say anything, I just felt his stare on me.
"I'll promise you, nothing bad is gonna happen. I won't let it. Kreese is trying to change, like I did." He said as he scooted closer to me.
I just kept looking at the ceiling. He put his arm around me and cuddled me closer.
"Well don't come crying to me if Kreese ruins all of your progress." I said blandly.
He chuckled softly and kissed my cheek. "Thanks for your support." He said sarcastically. I chuckled and put my head closer to his chest.
•
It's been a few hours, we were now at the dojo. Me and Johnny were joking around about something that was in a magazine.
"So what do you want for dinner tonight?" Johnny asked as he sat on the desk.
I shrugged, "I could make something, we've been eating out too much." I said.
He smiled and nodded, "Ok, and we're gonna watch Iron Eagle tonight." He said.
I rolled my eyes and laughed, "Are you kidding, no. It's my turn to choose a movie." I said with a smirk.
He nodded, "Ok, well what do you wanna watch then?" He asked. I smiled as I got a movie in mind.
"Sixteen Candles." I said with a smile. He sighed and chuckled softly.
He got a hold of my hands and pulled my closer to him. "Ok, well maybe we don't need to watch a movie." He said softly.
I smiled, "Well what do you have in mind then?" I asked as he rubbed circles on the tops of my hands.
He smirked and was about to say something, but was interrupted by an sudden silence in the dojo.
Johnny gave me a weird look and got off the table. He walked out of the office, and I followed.
"Hey." Johnny said quickly, I could tell he immediately became tense once we saw Kreese standing in front of Miguel.
Kreese looked at me, I just returned with a glare.
"Uh, sensei?" Miguel asked as he motioned his hand to Kreese. Kreese then walked over closer to us, he's not supposed to be here yet.
"What the hell is wrong with you? I said tomorrow." Johnny whispered angrily.
"Oh. Tomorrow, Today.. -Who can keep track, huh?" Kreese said with a weird chuckle. I rolled my eyes, what a liar.
"That's why you keep a calendar." I spat. He just glared at me, then looked back to Johnny.
Johnny shook his head and held my arm, pulling me away from Kreese. He sent me a look to keep my chill, knowing damn well that Kreese is the reason I'm tense now.
I took a deep breath as he let go of my arm and walked to the front of the room. I followed the him and stood next to him.
The students all lined up in their rows, and looked at us. "Class, we have a visitor." Johnny stated to our students.
Kreese walked up and stood near me. "This is Mr. Kreese. He's just an observer. Pretend like he's not even here." Johnny said.
Gladly.
"Mr. Diaz, warm them up." I ordered. He nodded and walked to the front. Me and Johnny walked to the side of the room near Kreese.
Miguel took place in the center of the front. He bowed, "Fighting positions!" Miguel yelled. All the kids prepared.
"Front kick. Yuh!" Miguel yelled to the class. They all kicked, then went back into fighting stance.
"Forward strike. Yuh!" He yelled and did the actions.
"Side jab. Yuh!" Miguel yelled and then did this weird thing with his arms. All the students did it too and laughed.
I looked at Johnny who looked down. Kreese looked dissatisfied, which made Johnny suddenly become mad.
"What the hell was that?" Johnny yelled. Miguel turned around from laughing, "We were just messing around." He said.
"We have 11 and a half months until the next All Valley." Miguel said.
Hawk nodded, "Yeah, besides, we already know how to kick ass." He said and the students began to chuckle.
"Oh, yeah, really, huh? So, you know everything. There's nothing left to learn, huh?" Johnny asked.
Aisha began to giggle about something. Johnny walked over to her. "What's so funny, Ms. Robinson?" Johnny asked.
She just kept giggling, "I'm sorry, Sensei. You just wouldn't understand." She said.
"Try me." He said. I sighed and looked down.
"It's a snake-do." She said through a chuckle. He looked confused.
"What's a snake-do?" He asked, I couldn't help but smile a little.
The students all began to hiss, making Johnny more angered. "Quiet!!" He screamed, I raised my eyebrows.
All the students stopped, "5:00 am, tomorrow morning. Corner of Fulton and Raymer. You don't show, and you're off the team. Class dismissed." Johnny yelled and went back into the office.
I looked at Kreese who just walked away. If Kreese wasn't here Johnny would've been a little more calm about this.
I walked into the office, passing by Kreese. Johnny sat at his desk.
I made sure Kreese had left before I said what I was going to say. "Are you sure you're not being a little to mad at this?" I asked him.
He gave me a look. "They're acting unprofessional." He said sternly. I tilted my head.
"They're teens, they're not supposed to act professional." I told him. He didn't say anything.
I squinted my eyes a bit, I wanted to say something else but I decided not to. I shook my head.
"Whatever, just do whatever you think is best, I don't care." I said.
"Just promise me your not gonna start developing the habits that Kreese had when he was your sensei." I said to him.
He stood up and walked over to me. "I won't ever be like how Kreese was." He said as he held my face. I smiled weakly and nodded.
I couldn't help but worry-Just Kreese gives an uneasy feeling. Like something bad always comes with him, wherever he goes.
