Don't worry. At least the World has Park Jimin :) XX

Translated from Korean

Communication is the key to any type of a healthy relationship. It is always better to talk out your problems with people close to you than to hold grudges in your heart and make things worse by keeping assumptions in your mind.

Jadeline did not have any close friends since childhood. She had some friends but none of them were the kind you keep in touch with from thousands of miles away. The first instance of real friendship she had experienced was in Seoul.

She saw seven people from different places living together as brothers. They had the kind of friendship people craved for, the kind that stood the test of time. The way they behaved with each other was so considerate and caring that at times she forgot they were not real brothers. Somehow one always knew what the other wanted. They were all very accepting of each other. They really stood by the message of love that they preached.

Jadeline liked this environment. She had found her peace in the chaos that was BTS just like Yoongi had advised her to. But her rocky relation with Jungkook always led to some kind of awkwardness between the residents of the Bangtan Dorm. It was something that was always present and could be felt by everyone, to the extent that her cousin had even asked her about it once.

"Did you and Jungkook have an argument?" Namjoon asked her, one day when they were hanging out in the living room.

"No, why would you ask that?" Jadeline replied.

"Then why do you both ignore each other like one ignores red flags when they see someone hot yet toxic whom they know will eventually hurt the shit out of them?"

Jadeline rolled her eyes.

"First of all, no we do not ignore each other. It's just we do not have anything in common and second of all, the brain stops working after seeing someone hot so you can't blame it for ignoring the red flags."

"He is a good boy, Jadeline. I would trust him with my life. It would make me really happy if you both got along, you won't regret being friends with him."

"Okay. I will try."

"Well, if you won't then he will because I may have talked to him about all this as well. And he listens to me you know." Namjoon admitted, sheepishly.

"Great, thanks for making things even more awkward." Jadeline replied. Of course Jungkook would listen to everything Namjoon said. He was the biggest RM fanboy in the World.

"That is what I am here for kiddo."

When Jungkook told Jadeline they needed to talk, she already knew he was going to bring that subject up very soon.

"What do you wanna talk about?" She adjusted herself to turn towards him but the small partition between them was stopping her from doing so.

"I think us not getting along is upsetting Namjoon Hyung." He said after a pause.

"You think?! He literally told this to us, Jungkook."

"Can you please keep your voice down? I don't want anyone else to hear anything." Jungkook said in a hushed tone.

"We should be friends." Jadeline stated firmly. Yes, this is exactly what they should be, friends and nothing else because he did not want anything else.

"You want to be my friend now?" He raised his right eyebrow and smirked. Jadeline knew her gaze lingered a little longer on his lips than they should but what could she do? This man should not be allowed to do that when he looked like this.

"No, I mean yes." Why was the temperature so high in the airplane? Jadeline felt heat rushing towards her cheeks.

"At least answer this correctly, Jade. The last time I asked you a question you left me hanging." His eyes were unmoving. They were staring in her eyes but she felt them piercing her soul, searching for answers. Her mind went back to the moment they had in the kitchen.

"I don't think we can be just friends, Jungkook but I still wanna try." Jadeline confessed quietly, contradicting herself from earlier.

"Thank you for being honest. We should try this more often."

"Try what?"

"Talking to each other truthfully."

"Okay. Let's talk from now on." She agreed.

"But we have to try to be friends for everyone else's sake. Is that clear?" Jungkook said.

"Crystal clear." Jadeline replied in English.

"Can you teach me English?" Jungkook asked out of nowhere.

"You want to learn from me? Honestly, I am not the teaching type. And you can hire the best teachers in Seoul. You don't need me for it, trust me."

"I want to learn from you. I need you, trust me." He replied, his eyes were closed and head was lying back on the seat.

If he hadn't said anything Jadeline would have thought he was asleep. He looked so calm and laid back like this completely opposite to how he always was, aggressive and persistent during dance practice or at the gym. Jadeline liked this side of him.

"As long as we are talking and asking things from each other, I also wanna confess something. I cannot read Hangul." Jadeline said.

"What? There is something you can't do? I never thought I would see the day." Jungkook sat up straight. He was shocked. The perfect girl was not so perfect. There actually existed things in the world that she could not do. He could not stop himself from smiling.

"Hey, I didn't make fun of you so you do not get to make fun of me." Jadeline crossed her arms and huffed angrily.

"Isn't this what friends do? Make fun of each other. But if you felt bad then I am sorry, Jade. It's just that I never thought there was something you could not do. And I would feel honoured to teach you Hangul."

"Likewise, good Sir." Jadeline giggled.

Talking had become considerably easier for them after clearing everything up. They talked all the way to L.A., he told her about his childhood in Busan with his older brother and she told him about growing up in New York as a biracial child.

It was true, them being friends would make things easier at home. It would make Namjoon happy as well. Jadeline would put her feelings for Jungkook aside. It was a small price to pay for the happiness of a man who loved her so dearly.
