And then we started running

We stopped at a cue for food

When we finally got to the front of the cue

We were given only one piece of bread for the both of us

Eren didn't feel like arguing with the food people so we just walked away

I gave him the piece of bread saying he could have it

"No levi you need it more than me" he said

I shook my head

I put it closer to him

He took it

He ripped it in half

And we shared it

"We can both have a piece we share" he said

At first I sighed

But then I nodded

We ate the bread

Soon we met up with armin and mikasa

It was like that for 4 years

I am now 15

I'm still in the same situation

Having to share

Eren being mad at the world

But what confuses me

Is eren mikasa and armin are all traumatised about what happened that day

Why aren't I

Have I lost so many people I care about that I'm used to it

Or could it be that I'm just not the same person anymore

I was walking with eren and mikasa

When we got to town we saw people Loads

"Eren" we heard armins voice shout

He came up to all of us

He gave us all bread

A full slice of bread

It's been years since I've had that

"My grandpa got extra since he said he had other kids" armin said

I nodded thanking Levi

I let go of erens hand and held the bread

I heard someone scold us

I looked to see someone from the military police

Eren looked angry

"Eren don't" mikasa said

Eren went up to the guy and kicked him in the leg Really hard

"Argh" the guy screamed

"You little brat" the military guy said

He kicked eren in the stomach and punched him in the face eren fell to the ground

He was about to do more until

I stepped in front of eren and closed my eyes shut

"Hey what are you doing kid" the military guy said

"Please don't hurt him" I mumbled

"What was that  talk clearly when you speak brat" the guy said getting his hand out about to hit

"Stop" armin said

"Don't mind them there just hungry we all get like that don't we grungy" armin said

The man looked at him then at us

"Fine I'll let you off you brat eat that bread you look like your going to crumble over any minute" he said to me

I looked at him

I nodded

The military police man walked away

I looked at eren

"Why did you do that" he said to me

I looked down

He grabbed my chin making me look at him

"They could've hurt you" he then said

I shook my head

We all walked away in silence

We got to this corner

"Them fools they don't know what it's like for us they get to eat like kings while we barely get a full piece of bread a day" Eren said

"Eren they are doing the best they can do" armin said.

"You you parasite how could you say that your just like them pathetic" Eren screamed at armin

He threw his bread back to him

Before I knew it my fist was on erens face

He fell to the ground

"Have you looked in the mirror lately we're all parasites" I said

He looked down

"Your right I'm sorry armin" He said

I grabbed the bread from armins hand

"Eat it" I said

Giving it to eren

"Eren really it's fine I was being stupid" armin said

I could see fear in his eyes

"Oh Levi eat your bread he's right you seem to get skinnier everyday" Eren said

I nodded

We all ate our bread

Later that day we sat on a stair way

"Next year I'm going to join the military" Eren said

I looked at him

"I want to be in the survey corps none of you can stop you" he said.

"Eren I'll join you" mikasa said

"No you can't you can't risk your life for me" he said.

"I will" mikasa said

Eren gave up fighting

"If mikasa is going I guess I'm going too" armin said

"No armin your life is with books" Eren said

Armin shook his head

I went up to eren

I pointed at myself

"No no way are you coming" he said

He tried to turn around

I grabbed his arm

Turning his to face me

I nodded

"Levi I'm not letting you get hurt" he said

I shook my head

"Where you go I go" i mumbled

He rolled his eyes

"Fine but i don't want you dying ok none of you we stick together no matter what" he said

I nodded

I hugged him

And he hugged me
