"You need to take it slow, be her friend first."
Tony was working on a suit as he gave Peter advice.
"Mr Stark, I already am her friend. I'm her best friend," Peter said.
"Only fools rush in," Tony said, placing a hand on Peter's shoulder.
Peter sighed. All he wanted to do was be with y/n. He wanted to kiss her. He wanted to marry her. He wanted to grow old and die with her.
But I can't help falling in love with you
He couldn't help but fall in love with her. Fall in love with her smile, with her laugh. Fall in love with the way her eyebrows furrowed when she was confused. Fall in love with her.
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin?
"Please stay," y/n said, holding onto Peter's hand.
Peter looked up at her. Her eyes were watery and puffy. Peter nodded and pulled her in for a hug. They sat there for a while.
'I just want to kiss her,' he thought.

He was definitely in love. Tony had noticed. May had noticed. MJ had noticed. Ned had noticed.
At school, Peter was with y/n.
After school, Peter was with y/n.
He cut down on his Spiderman duties just to be with her.

Maybe they were meant to be. Everything felt perfect around y/n. He felt nervous and yet confident around her. He felt like he didn't need the Spiderman suit to impress her.

Y/n grabbed Peter's hand, running through the rain. It was pouring down on them hard. All they had wanted was a stroll in the park. They eventually reached a bus shelter, but they were soaked.
"Aw, man," Peter said, shaking water out of his hair.
Y/n giggled and stepped out into the rain.
"What are you doing?" Peter asked as y/n twirled.
"Dance with me," she said, holding out a hand.
Peter took her hand and they spun and swayed.
"This is just like a movie," y/n giggled.
Peter froze. In most movies, the two protagonists kissed in the rain. He'd watched enough movies with y/n to know that. So, before he could reconsider, he grabbed y/n's face and pressed his lips to hers. She kissed back immediately, lips moving in sync. When they finally pulled back, they were both smiling.
"Finally," y/n said, leaning up to kiss him again.
