"............Malfoy?"

The young blonde had been puzzled.

-"I don't understand you at all Constantine!"-

-"Besides the obvious characteristics, it has honestly made me wonder how you got sorted into Slytherin at all!"-

-The blonde looked at him without a trace of emotion, taking his words steadily-

-"Draco." He said his name almost sadly. "You don't have ta understand mate."-

"Constantine."

"Train that filled up mate?"

Draco blinked, "N-no.....I have come here on my own accord to.....seek an understanding of sorts."

John raised a brow.
"Uh huh."

"Yes."

"Alright mate-ask away."

Draco was a bit stooped by his new forwardness. The wizard in front of him was more prone to steer the conversation sideways, inserting different topics or avoiding them altogether in a means balance it to his favors.

Rather Slytherin of him-

-But nonetheless, he was giving Draco the benefit of the doubt.
An opportunity to question his rebellious and outcast-ish behavior.

He opened his mouth-

-but he didn't have the words.

It was so.....unlike him.

To be unsure about something.....especially in something so...so trivial!

This-this confrontation-was all but a means to an end!

Draco just wanted to know why his peer was the way he is....not that he cared for the other(because he didn't!), but because the very concept of a Slytherin like him was alien and outlandish to everything Draco had been taught as member of green.

So he did what he could....

"Why?"

That seemed to throw the other off-

"Why?"

"Why?!"

"Mate! What the hell are you talkin about?!"

"Why are you the way you are?! There is not one Slytherin in our great house's history that has deliberately, and repeatedly, ignored everything it stood for!"

Draco panted slightly, feeling a little better about himself now that he vented.

"Malfoy-you've answered your own bloody question mate."

The platinum blonde furrowed his brows-
What?

When?
"Explain."

Constantine rolled his eyes.
The insolence!-

"You've said it yourself. 'Our great house's history', 'Everything that it stood for'-mate, everything that they stand for but I don't."
