☄▐ ICARUS SAT in the passenger seat of Derek's car, one hand gripping the oh shit handle above her head,

"Do you always drive like a maniac?" She snapped

"This is driving like a maniac?" He shot back,

"Youre going thirty miles over the speed limit!" Icarus exclaimed, pointing to his dash

"You're being overdramatic."

Icarus sputtered out a series of noises, before speaking, "Did you forget I was recently in a car crash!?" She demands, "Go the fucking speed limit, Derek!"

"Will you calm down -- "

"No! I won't calm down, Derek! I just got out of the hospital, don't make me go back because you're driving like this Fast and Furious!" Icarus exclaims, green eyes on the speedometer on the dash

The werewolf huffs and eases his foot off the gas and she lets out a breath of relief and relaxes her head back against the seat

"Thank you." She hums, turning over her shoulder to look at the unconscious Alan Deaton, "So what you guys think he's the Alpha?" She asked

Derek shot her a look, "No, seriously, why him? No offense to Deaton or anything, but he doesn't look like he could win a fight against a ten year old, let alone be a vengful Alpha with a grudge." She explained, looking to him

"Does your brother look like he coudl be a werewolf?" Derek retorts

Icarus scoffs, "Yeah, fair enough." She replied, crossing her arms and looking to him

The werewolf besides her glances at her, "Just out of curiosity, why are you afraid of mirrors?" He asks her softly, catching her off guard

Icarus drew in a deep breath and looked away from him, silently debating on whether to answer or not, "I'll tell you if you tell me why your eyes are blue."

Derek tensed up and didn't respond, "See?" She murmurs, "We all have things we don't like talk about."

Silence befell the werewolf's car as they drove to the high school, both adults uncomfortable by the questions asked by the other. Icarus crossed her arms over her chest defensively, green eyes looking out her window, occasionally glancing to the man besides her.

"Look, I'm sorry -- "

"It wasn't my business -- "  They both spoke, trying to apologize
