Youth day

It's Friday and it is our youth get together. Ito rin ang araw ng pagtratrabaho namin sa aming sinumpaang tungkulin.

As the SK Chairwoman in our Barangay.  I should be myself an example of a good citizen, student,  daughter,  and a good friend with everyone. But somehow I  didn't trust anyone easily. It seems like anytime soon, one of my dearest will leave me nor betray me.

I always think, that I only friends because I'm in position. Some of my friends are just befriending me because they can get something. But after I'm out of the position I'll be nothing to thy. Believe it or not. People will only come to you because you have something. But after that they won't know you.

I don't want to invest affection, friendship,  and love for temporary people. Deal it or not everyone will leave you. Even if you're closest friend will leave you. I'm really grateful and contented with my circles of friends. They maybe wierd, care-free,  and loud.  But they're true.

Our barangay provides is a place where we can do our works and can bond with each other. To strengthen the youth bond's and to is be far from illegal and addicting practices. Because our local department had a motto " Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan,  paano ang bayan kong ang kabataa'y baliw na. " matatawa ka at the same time magkakaroon ka ng lesson. It 's Capt. Virgil implementation. Nagmana si Virginia sa kanya.

At the morning we do some office works,  and we'll ready the reports of our upcoming events i want to discuss later. Ethel is our SK secretary,  Virgie the SK treasurer and the other officials are Aislin,  Crest,  Hiram,  Arles, and Bridget. I'm well pleased that majority of the officials are my friends. But we're not elected to be friends,  we're here to serve. Sa amin, walang kai-kaibigan.

They're serious with their works. Friday is our office time. The former SK Chair Vixar Pamulo implemented the arrangement 5 years ago. But during class time, we're here in either Saturday nor Sunday.

I'm almost 2 years in service. Still blessed and never done corruptions. After we'd  done our loads we've chatted about our agenda,  and programs we want to present, incoming events and etc.

Our lunch isn't a problem. Some of the politicians, citizens, and even busenessmans. They provide us lunch and snacks. Our group is indeed, blessed.

For today our incumbent Mayor, provided our lunch and snacks. It maybe his treat since it's his birthday tomorrow. I have good communications with the Saldivars, Haze is the only,  not so good part of the family. Leaving a friend with no words. How come.

We enjoyed our lunch with the other youth volunteers. Except for Bridget and her friends.  They'll be back at two. So they can't help us preparing the room.

She's not good with girls. But she's good with boys though. I've always tried to reach out and befriend her,  but it always ended up, either a piercing words or a fiery eyes.

How effective leader am I, If I ain't cool with my officials.

It's so tiring. So we dicided to take a nap.  And we'll just wake up to ready the place for our weekly youth conference.

Masyadong napahaba ang tulog namin,  kaya nagmamadali na kaming maghanda. Mabuti nalang talaga at may mga maagang dumating kaya tinulungan nila kami. We're really running out of time.

Napagod yata kami kaya't hindi gumana ang body alarm namin, or whatever you call it. Ang tsonggong si Silas ay nakalimutang mag-alarm kaya naman hindi kami kaagad nagising.

Mabuti talaga at medyo maagang dumating si Clara kasama si Marie at natapakan nito ang kamay ni Hiram kaya yamot na yamot ito. Nang dahil sa sigaw n'ya ay nagising kami. Panay naman ang asar nina Silas at Crest dito.

Mabuti nalang ay nakahanda na kami bago dumating ang lahat.

Dumalo sa unang pagkakataon ang nakababatang kapatid nina Silas at Hiram, na si Mavonne. Huling dumating si Caia at ang nakababatang kapatid nito na si Cera. Agad nagkasundo sina Mavonne at Cera.  Magka-edad lang kasi sila. Halos magkasabay namang dumating sina Silas at Hiram, at ang kambal na sina  Sourie at Dawn.

Halos magka-edad lang ang mga kambal ng Saldivar kay'na Cera at Mavonne. Kaya nagkakasundo sila.

We've started the program with a prayer. After that,we welcome our unusual visitors,  mainly the younger. We discuss some agenda's next.

After the discussions Arles and Hiram distributed the snacks. Masama parin ang timpla ng mukha ni Hiram. Kitang-kita ko pa ang namumula n'yang dalire.

"Ubos na ba? Bakit wala akong pagkain? " tanong ni Clara.

" I'm sorry I thought you've already eat yours. " walang ganang sabi ni Hiram. Pero alam kong tinotuya lang nito si Clara. Kitang-kita ko ang pamumula ng mukha n'ya, malamang dahil sa inis. Malusog kasi si Clara pero hindi mataba. Pinagtitinginan na sila dahil sa komusyon.

Bago pa may mangyaring gulo tumungo na ako sa ice box kong saan may lamang snack. Bago ko pa mabuksan ang sisidlan ay inunahan na ako ni Caia. Nakita kong umirap si Bridget at nilamon nalang ang kanyang burger.

" Sagutin mo na kasi Ada. " Silas teased. I just made a face. I offer the snack to Clara,  marami pang natira kaya alam kong sinadya ito ni Hiram. " Salamat Ada.  Mabuti kapa,  pero sana pangdalawahan ang kinuha mo. Nagwawala na kasi ang mga bulati sa t'yan ko. Di bali kukuha nalang ako mamaya. "

Muntik ng mabulunan si Bridget at napatawa ang iba sa pagiging walang hiya ni Clara. This woman is really shameless.

" Maria Clara Jane,  baka maturn-off si Hiram sayo niyan. " Panunuya ni Crest. " Sagutin mo na kasi Hiram" Silas added.

"Sinamaan n'ya muna ng tingin ang mga tsonggo bago inilahad ang snack kay Clara. It seems like there's a forming basin. Kaya lalong umingay ang silid na aming pinaglalagian.

The baboons and the eater in one room. It's a hilarious idea. Ganito sila lagi. Bakit ngaba hindi ako nasasanay?

After our programs: open forum and some games. We've all clean the room and bid goodbyes after.

Hiram is really irritated. Habang napakalaki ng ngite ni Clara. Tinukso na naman siguro niya ito.

Pinauna na ni  Caia si Vera kasabay kilala Mavonne. Umuwi narin sila Aislin, kaming dalawa nalang ni Caia ang natira. I locked the door at iniwan na ang susi sa aming baranggay secretary nandoon si Vergie at Clara sa tanggapan ni Tito Virgil.  Discussing about there sabong session? 

Sumama na ako kay Caia dahil may pupuntahan daw kami.
