Casa Saldivar

Halos malibot na namin ang boong Halapitan, sakay ng kanilang puting SUV. Nakaupo na kami ngayon sa isang bench dito sa plaza. Nanlibre s'ya ng fish ball at kwek-kwek na binibinta ni Mang Emong. Napakasarap.

We're watching the sun setting it's self and the moon readying to take place. Nostalgic. It's signifying new beginning and new hopes. Beautiful. The mixture of pink, orange, and blue clouds is a masterpiece. Indeed, beautiful.

"Do you promise to stay still until the last sunset? " he looked at me after. "Even in the last sunrise" wala sa sariling hayag ko.

"Keep this to hold unto your vow. " sabay pakita sa akin ng isang gintong kwentas. The necklace has a circle pendant, and next to it is the small circle with the face of the sun. Napakapino ng kwentas. Kumikinang ito pag-itinapat sa nagpapaalam na haring araw.

" I want you to wear it and take care of it, until the last sunset even I'm not with you. "

" Teka lang aalis ka? " medyo tumaas na ang tono ko. " You knew I won't leave you. You're my bestfriend . His words is enough to calm me. But my guts tells me somthing is off.

"Hindi ba 'to masyadong mahal? " sa tingin ko kasi purong gold ito. It looks so classy and elegant. "Not as valued as you". Tatanggalin ko na sana baka kasi isipin n'yang piniperahan ko lang siya. Pero hinawakan n'ya ang kamay ko. " Wore it for me. " habang inaayos ang lock nito na tinanggal ko.

The whole week ended up so good. We wandered around unatonably. Sa mga Moral kami. We bond with each others company. It was fun. We destroyed the walls put liesurely. He even want us to call him Caia. Even ate Dece are opening up. They moved her in San Fernando to invest. Thier cute little sister is so adorable and shy.

Tita Germaine even invite us to dine with them. Caia's mom. She is so nice to handle our riotous bond. While Mr. Februa is so stiff and formal. I can see Caia in him less the stiffness a bit. While ate Dece is the version of her mom so pretty and loud at the same time. Cera, thier little sister is a mixture of thier parents.

We really the food tita Germaine prepared. Even Mr. Februa is cold, he sometimes join us. The Teves also want this dinner to be thier thanks giving for befriending thier child's. Which is really good to be. Then thier driver delivered us in our houses.

I'm sad at the sametime. I didn't see Haze the whole week. Baka may pinuntahan. The Sunday doned so well. The afternoon I decided to go at the Casa Saldivar. Where the Saldivars lived. Sumama sina Ethel at Aislin. Wala daw kasi silang gagawin.

Ma'am Mariam welcomed us. We was stunned, Ma'am Mariam never welcomed us. At hindi sila nagpapasok ng kahit mismo sa bahay nila. It's either sa opisina sa labas ng bahay nila.

"Have a sit. " sabay lahad niya sa kanilang napakalaking sofa. This is my second time to enter thier mansion. First is when Haze invited us.

Aislin gone being loud. She is so stiff. Tahimik lang si Ethel at mas naging pormal pa ito. Siguradong bubudburan mamaya ni Ma'am Mariam ng sandamakmak na disinfectant.

"I know who's your interest. " malamig na aniya. " My son is not here anymore or in any place in San Fernando nor Bikidnon." saan pala siya pumunta? Before i could voice out my thoughts Ma'am Mariam speak.

"Kung iniisip n'yong babalik s'ya kalaunan. Well you're wrong. He's going to study in Manila. Baka hindi narin s'ya bumalik. He'll be trained to study how to handle our airlines. Wala naman daw s'yang babalikan dito. You know girls in city is more pretty and high quality. There better than the young girls here. " I know what she means. Young girls is surely for me. My heart shattered, he said he won't leave me. He's my best friend. I feel so numb. Hindi naman siguro magsisinungaling si Ma'am Mariam 'diba?

My system couldn't process everything. Pero unti-unti na itong pumapasok. Hindi ako malungkot dahil umalis s'ya. He can say he's farewell. But I got none. Maybe this necklace is his goodbye. I know he'll be back. He promised me. As long as I have this necklace, I will keep him.

My heart hurts so bad.

The classes went on but he's still not in San Fernando. Nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa pero alam kung babalik s'ya. I just need to trust him and his word's. Ang tanging pinanghahawakan ko ay ang kwentas na ito at ang kanyang pangako. Pangako'y wag sana'y mapako.

I'll wait till the last sunrise, till the last sunset. Till the sunrise came from the west. I'll wait.

No matter what.

But could I wait, if he's assurance is blurred, could I wait if he's not here. Their is a possibility that he'd fall with pretty and sexy girls in Manila. Sino ba naman ako. Should I wait.

I should as long as I have the necklace. I will, and always will. I'll wait till that day come. That the angels will on our side. That I'll see him again. That we'll be together. I'm a friend of forever. But it seems., I can't wait forever. I may be grown in the future. But I won't let my heart grown in tiredness without him.

I'll wait hanggang kaya ko pa. I'll wait hanggang ang panahon at oras ay umaaayon pa. I'll wait.

Even there is no assurance.

We left their mansion with a hang heart. I left rather.
