"My what a mess you've made." A monotone voice said into the house. There were piles of bodies in the house, with the demon lord standing in the middle of it all. "You know this is exactly what will cause your downfall."
The demon lord stayed silent, not wishing to look the now older girl in the eye. "He is coming..." As soon as the girl said that the demon fled the house, away from the prying, dead eyes of the Wisteria Pillar.
"NEZUKO!" A voice called. (Y/n) looked down to the ground for she was standing on the roof of what used to be the Kamado household. There was a boy wearing a checkered haori with long hair and a scar on his forehead.
The boy didn't even notice (Y/n) was watching him... it was quiet rare for (Y/n) to take an interest in people. She was a bit hesitant to talk to him, for the last time she'd done that, she'd gotten stuck 3 idiots.
The boy started running with a girl on his back, she was guessing he was planning on running to a town to get help for her. But (Y/n) could sense the bloodlust starting to radiate off the girl. (Y/n) inwardly sighed and started to leap through the tree to watch this boy. That's when she sensed another person was coming into the perimeter, making (Y/n) pause. Why was the presence so familiar?
(Y/n) was so caught up in her thoughts she didn't notice that the boy had fallen off the side of the mountain. But before he could hit the snow...
Tanjiros POV
"I have to get nezuko to the nearest doctor!" I thought running. The next thing I knew I was falling off the cliff. I braced myself to fall onto the snow but all I felt was falling into someone's arms.
End of Tanjiros POV
(Y/n) looks down at the boy in her arms, "Why did I bother to save him..." (Y/n) was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt someone getting closer. She just dropped the boy and jumped into a tree, now understanding who exactly this presence was.
Time skip 10 minutes
(Y/n) was watching Giyu give this boy a verbal beat down, before the boy stood up. He charged Giyu, (Y/n) watched him throw the hatchet in the air. Right when the axe was about to hit Giyu, (Y/n) kicked it mid-jump.
"Better watch where your hatchet goes." (Y/n) said taking the hatchet from the tree it became lodged in. Giyu's eyes widened realizing who exactly just kicked the axe. He had not seen her for over a year since she'd left on her mission. He'd grown up a bit since she'd last seen him, physically and mentally.
"(Y-Y/n)-sama is that you?" Giyu mentally cursed for stuttering. (Y/n) turned around, her kitsune mask resting on her face. Giyu recognized that mask anywhere, he was so happy she was back!
"The others will be just as pleased..." Giyu thought.
"Who else would it be?" (Y/n) asked monotonously. Giyu actually ran to her and hugged her (keep in mind Giyu is cheerful and stuff since Sabino didn't die)
(Y/n) tensed under his touch, remembering their last interaction before she left.
"I have to go report to Kagaya we'll catch up later." (Y/n) said curtly before quickly pulling out of Giyu's embrace. His embrace was so tight, she wouldn't be surprised if it left a bruise. Giyu tried to hide the disappointment he felt, since their interaction had been so formal and short. He'd been one of the people who'd missed (Y/n)... dearly.
Giyu just nodded and watched the girl he'd become... obsessed with walk away.
At Ubuyashiki Estate
(Y/n) walked to the engawa in the Ubuyashiki estate, not even bothering to knock. She almost bumped into someone, who she then noticed was Ubuyashiki Kiriya. The 2nd heir to become leader of the Demon Slayer Corp, (Y/n) was first in line seeing as she was co-leader.
"Forgive me (L/n)-sama for bumping into you." He said formally. His plum eyes boring into the Pillar's (e/c) eye. (Y/n) waved him off, only for Kiriya to start following her to the engawa.
"Did you need something Kiriya?" (Y/n) asked informally. She'd never thought she'd need to use honorifics, for she didn't use them with Kagaya.
Kiriya was surprised by her informal-ness but pushed that aside, "Yes oto-San is looking for you." (Y/n) nodded and began walking faster towards the engawa. Once she got there she was face to face with the people that's been waiting for her.
"We told you we'd be here when you'd come back."
