Part 52

Darshan and Jaimi have intense eye contact right after he says that, but break it as they hear throat-clearing noise. 

Jaimi: Hello!

They all greet her. 

Rimi: Abhi tak Jaimi Patel hi hain?

Jaimi: Shaadi ka matalab yeh thodi hota hain ke ladkiyon ko apna last name badalna hi padta hain! I still have an identity of my own.

Akasa: Darshan, yeh news mein tere baare mein kya chal raha hain? 

Mohit: Haan, woh toh meine bhi dekha hain. Tumne kabse drink karna shuru kiya?

Darshan: Mein woh... 

Darshan tries to find words to excuse himself out of the situation when Jaimi places her hand on his knee. He looks at her surprised. 

Jaimi: Woh... actually ek upcoming project pe kaam kar rahe the! And, the images and videos are misinterpretations of the truth. 

Akasa: Oh!

Darshan is confused by what she said but decides to play along as Jaimi probably thought a lot before making such a statement. They chat till 7:30 then, have dinner. Around 8, Jaimi's phone goes off when they all are sitting in the living room chatting. She messages back. She follows Darshan into the kitchen. He pours himself a glass of water. 

Jaimi: Agar mera koi kaam na ho toh mein uppar jaake kaam kar rahi hoon! Kuch kaam ho toh awaaz lagana. 

Darshan: Yeah, of course! I'm sorry ki meri wajah se...

Jaimi: It's fine. 

He quickly drinks the water and the two go to the living room. 

Jaimi: I'll see you guys around! Mujhe abhi kuch kaam hain. 

They all nod their head. Jaimi excuses herself and starts working in the home office. 

Mohit: Tum dono ki shaadi kaise hue? I mean love ya arrange?

Darshan: Arranged! 

Dipti: Issi wajah se tum dono poles apart ho. 

Akasa: Kaise?

Dipti: Darshan, ko aaj tak meine gusse mein kabhi nahi dekha aur Jaimi waha se aa rahi thi tab phone pe bhi gussa kar rahi thi. 

Darshan: Waisa kuch nahi hain! Woh aur gussa kabhi kabhi hi aamne saamne aate hain. She is managing two companies at once so stress ki wajah se...

Dipti: Oh!

Darshan: Aur, waise bhi hum completely opposite hain woh accha hain!

Mansheel: How is that good?

Darshan: Mein easily emotional ho jaata hoon aur woh logic ko saath leke chalti hain. Agar mein panic hota hoon toh woh mujhe aur situation dono ko sambhalti hain! Agar, kuch galti ki toh woh mujhe samjhati hain aur woh galti sahi bhi kar deti hain. Dusro ki tarah waha mujhe lecture nahi deti!

Rimi: Humara ladka pyaar ke kuen mein gir gaya woh bhi bada gehre wala kuaan!

Darshan smiles as they tease him. His cheeks are tainted red by now. 

Rituranjan: Blushing and all, wah! 

Darshan: Stop it now! Coffee chahiye?

They all nod their head. Darshan goes up the stair and peeps into the home office to find Jaimi lost in her work. He decides not to disturb her and goes to the kitchen followed by others. The others look around the 1st floor of the penthouse. He makes eight cups of coffee hand them all one.
