New York: Where dreams are made

"Sige, enjoy your lunch." Tzuyu said before making an about face at bumalik na sa kwarto nila.

"Well, you guys heard Tzuyu. So bilisan nyo nang kumain." Rosé said as she gets her sandwich and takes a bite.

"Yeah, I heard." Rabbit says.

"Grabe naman talaga si coach Sunmi. Napaka-higpit at strikto." I sighed.

"Eh paano kasi kung tayo-tayo lang hindi tayo makakabuo ng dance kakatawa." Rabbit said laughing as she bit off her sandwich.

"Oo nga Lisa. Tsaka ngayon ka pa ba gigive up kung kelan konti na lang eh magiging champions na tayo." Rosé said smiling.

"I like your attitude Rosé, us as Champions." I said dreamily.

"Kaya ubusin mo na yan." Rabbit said.

I could only nod as I took a bite of my sandwich. I also took a handful of fries and stuffed it in my mouth as I chewed.

"Yuck Limario. Ang baboy mo." Rosé said laughing.

As she took a fry from my take out bag.

"May ineexpect ka pa ba kay Nalalisa?" Rabbit said laughing at what I was doing.

"Oo nga pala. Baboy naman talaga tong friend natin." Rosé laughed in agreement.

We finished our lunch in 5 minutes. We drank a lot of water to push down what we ate. A collective burp was heard, nagkatinginan kaming tatlo at tumawa as we hurried towards our bag and got dressed for dance practice. 5 minutes lang ang lumipas at nasa labas na kami ng kwarto namin, headed to the elevator. Maya-maya lang nagsunuran na sa lobby ang buong team. Kasama si coach Sunmi.

"Guys, I hooked us up a practice room nearby our hotel. Lakad lang tayo ng isang bloke, sa 7th street, andun na tayo." Coach Sunmi said.

"Thanks Coach." I said to her.

"Of course! I lived around here. Friends with the owner of the dance school." Coach Sunmi said smiling.

"Iba talaga ang influential na coach. Powerful." Rosé said as she puts an arm around Coach.

"Lodi ka namin talaga!" Rabbit says as she puts another arm around Coach.

"Hoy kayong dalawa. Tinitrip nyo nanaman ako ah!" Coach Sunmi exclaimed.

"Petmalu talaga si Lodi Coach Sunmi." G-Dragon said as he walked upfront the corridor.

Jiyoung pushed the elevator button down and waited for us. Soon we were out of our hotel and walked down the block and turned right to 7th street. In ten minutes we've arrived at the dance studio. We warmed up and stretched out our bodies. First practice namin ay ang aming semi-final piece which was BLACKPINK'S WHISTLE, our nationals winning piece. But more explosive this time. A lot of dance breaks and popping choreography. A lot has been added to our original choreography, made by Coach Sunmi.

Coach Sunmi watched us as we did her choreography. Once, we were able to dance to her Choreography. She was not pleased with how we came out.

"Guys, I told you to smile, why are you not smiling? Kailangan nyong masanay ngumiti. Make it look like things are easy." Coach Sunmi said.

"You, Rosé smile alluringly sa focal points mo. It is your chance to get noticed, so give a heart stopping moment when you dance. Don't be stiff. Guys, from the top tayo."

We danced again from the top, making sure we smiled and gave our best.

"Yan. Tama yan. Joy, you're off beat sa body waves mo. Pag make it whistle like a bomb, start palang ng linya kailangan mo nang umindak." Coach Sunmi queued the music again and did the choreography herself with us.

"Ganito. 3... 2... 1." Coach Sunmi said sternly to Joy.

"Yan!!!! Ganyan, parang kay Amber at Rabbit." Coach Sunmi said before stopping to watch us.

Once she was satisfied she clapped her hands at our third run of the moves. Pagtapos ay nag-quick water break na muna kami. Then practice continued until 7 in the evening, by 8 p.m. we were having our dinner back in our hotel rooms. We were too tired to even go out and eat. Rosé, Rabbit and I ordered our room service while the others went and ordered their food at a local restaurant nearby. Jiyoung and Bambam meanwhile went out to eat. Kasama dapat kami nila Rosé but we decided to stay in for the night. Three more days of this and we will be dancing in front of the audience live via telecast which will be aired in Korea. The event is a two day event, First day is for the semi-finals and the last day is for the Finals.

We've been through so much tough and rigorous training the whole year. We oozed with so much passion and will to reach the semi-finals. Kung ngayon pa kami susuko, para ano pa na nanalo kami sa nationals. My mind is focused on winning the bacon and bringing it back to Korea. All glory for the country and fellow countrymen. Philippines is one of our greatest contenders in this contest. They were fortunate to snag first runner up at the world championships. So this year is a tight fight against the Filipino team. Bulong-bulongan na ito since we won Nationals. Even on press conferences we were asked kung kabado ba kami sa World Chanpionship especially when we are going up last year's first runner up. We answered no coolly of course, pero sa totoo lang kinakabahan din kami.

I watched as my friends practiced vigorously and gave their all to the dance. BLACKPINK is a world renowned artist so the pressure is upon my team to do their best in the championship, especially because the girls of BLACKPINK wished us luck before we went here. These were my thoughts as I watched Rosé and Rabbit enjoyed their dinner. After quite some time my phone rang.

"Hello? Jennie?" I answered my phone aftet two rings.

"Hi, Baby. I just got off Miss Jandel's class and I am heading to my next class in a wee bit. I just called to check if you've arrived safely in New York." Jennie said.

"We arrived safely, Baby. Nagdidinner na kami nila Rosé, kakatapos lang ng practice namin." I said.

"Ah okay. Thank you pala for sending me a sweet message kanina. Kinilig ako Baby." Jennie said sweetly.

"Welcome baby. I miss you na." I said to her as I laid back into my bed.

"I miss you too baby, 6 days until we meet again. Stay safe kayo nila Rosé and Rabbit at wag na wag kang mangbabababae dyan. Kundi puputulin ko lahat ng fingers mo sa kamay. Mwah! I gotta run, running a little slow for my next class. Update me ha?" Jennie said.

"Okay Baby, we'll talk later okay? I'll be sleeping na din po after naming magdinner. Yes, hindi po ako mangbabababae. Focusing lang po on getting home to you. Byebye." I said to her.

"Byebye baby. Be good. Mwah!"

"Byebye baby, I'll be good. Promise." I echoed back to her.

"Okay, I love you baby." She said.

"Okay, I love you too baby. See you soonest." I said to her.

The conversation ended right then and there. Rosé and Rabbit were on their phones, watching videos as they ate. I put my phone down and continued eating. Tonight, will be a long night as Day one closes and Jennie is not by my side. I've grown accustomed to spending my days in school with her.
