Chapter 14

Vijay's POV
Pallavi and Ishika had gone to pick up Nivi from school. I felt a bit tired, so I let them go.
I walk downstairs after taking a shower.
"Babu." Charan's mom calls me.
"Son." Charan's mom calls me.
"Auntie?" I say.
"Adi, Charan ki Ishika ki engagement fix cheddam anukuntunnam." she says.
"We were thinking of fixing Charan's and Ishika's engagement." she says.
"Sare aunty." I say.
"Ok aunty." I say.
I take a seat on the sofa, and the priest greets me with a namaskaram. I put my hands together in response, greeting him the same way.
"Ammayi puttina thedi cheppu babu." he asks.
"Tell me the girl's date of birth." he asks.
"October 10, 1992." I reply.
"Abbayi puttina thedi cheppamma."
"Tell me the boy's date of birth mam."
"March 27, 1991."
"Hmm..." the priest thinks and looks at his books for about ten minutes.
"Mee abbayi jathakamlo oka dosham undi..."
"There is an error in your son's horoscope..."
"Enti swami adi?" Charan's mom asks worriedly.
"What is it swami?" Charan's mom asks worriedly.
"Ee kshanam nunchi, meeru Tirupathi prayanam chesedaka, mee ada parachulaku pramadame. Mogavallu lekunda bayataki vellakandi." he answers.
"From this moment, until you make a trip to Tirupati, the females in your family are in danger. Don't go outside without a man." he answers.
**Meanwhile**
Pallavi's POV
"Pallu, nuvvu velli Nivini theesukoni ra. Nenu ice cream theesukostha." Ishika akka says.
"Pallu, you go bring Nivi. I will go bring ice cream." Ishika akka says.
"Sare Akka." I reply.
"Ok Akka." I reply.
I am about to cross the street when my phone rings. It's anna.
I lift the phone.
"Hello Anna." I say as I begin crossing the street.
"Athaaaaa!" I hear.
"Auntyyyy!" I hear.
I look in front of me to see Nivi. She is running towards me, and I see a car coming.
"Nivi! Ravaddu!" I yell.
"Nivi! Don't come!" I yell.
I run towards her, when I hear Ishika akka call my name behind me.
"Pallavi!"
I stop and turn. Suddenly, it feels like time as stopped.
