Is it really that hard to believe
That a single, young, black woman just like me
Is not at all curious to know, what's there down below
In between
Truth be told
I'm really interested in what's elevated up above
Enclosed in those ribs to the left, filled with love
Feed my mind, body AND soul
Intellect first and the physical thereafter
Loyalty, honesty, trust and euphoria - we'll captureA soul that connects explicitly with mine
With much substance, never dry
Nor bland, he can
Open his mouth and speak volumes
This man's
A partner, friend, lover and confidant
Words of knowledge flow from him
His intelligence turns me onGot me so high, feeling free
I'm India Arie loving his
Brown Skin, you know I love your brown skin
