Chapter 30: 'Exit?'

Start from the beginning

"That's right, he'll find a way to come back, he'll stop at nothing until he can free everyone here and the children. All of them." Buddy tells her while Wally keeps eye contact.

She hugs them. Wally hesitantly wraps his arms around her.

Wally looks over to the others, Sammy just so happened to arrive back at the bottomless pit the moment Henry fell.

Tom is hugging Allison, who's staring at nothing.

Ali- Susie is standing next to to Sammy.

"You all seem to be forgetting that Henry isn't human!" Buddy suddenly announces.

Stand up.

Uh. Okay? Wally replies as he stands up.

Everyone looks over to the Boris clone.

"He's an ink creature and he's been in this hellhole for over fifteen years."
"He has fallen through things a lot. When he was human he survived a bullet to the head, along with several other head-related injures from falling." Buddy continues, everyone is staring at them in silence.

"I highly doubt something as simple as falling will prevent him from finding a way out. We just need to have faith in him, and that he will will his way back here, or a way out."

There was silence for a while, until Allison spoke.

"They're right. A simple fall won't kill him, especially with how many times he's fallen down here. We just need to find him, that pit has to have a bottom, the ink has to go somewhere."

"You're right, Allison." Susie replies, "He would have fallen into one of the lowest levels of the studio."

"The lowest level is the level that has the Ink Demon's lair." Buddy adds.

"That means he might be at his lair, then?" Sammy asks.

"Probably." Buddy says while Wally shrugs.

"Henry might have ended up in that massive ink river?" Allison suggests.

"Where does it lead to?" Linda finally says something, Wally turns to look at her.

Her face is full of determination, she wipes away her ink tears.

"To the lake in front of his lair, perhaps." Susie replies.

"We'll just have to figure out how to get there, which doesn't involve falling." Sammy says.

Tom tilts his head, looking at Allison, who nods before looking at the everyone else.

"There's an ink river near our safehouse, that might lead to his lair." She translates.

Sometimes I think they have telepathy.

Wouldn't surprise me.

"That's a good start." Susie replies.

"Let's go then!" Linda says.

________
Pov: Ink

I was watching them, and Henry fell the moment he fell, I traveled to the bottom of the pit, right in front of my lair.

Where is he? I think angrily as I search through the ink.

After two hours, something starts moving in the ink, I step back.

Whatever it is, it is not Henry.
