"You must be River, welcome to Crystal academy, I am the dean here of the academy. Your school records are in incredible, you will definitely fit int our school considering that academics are the most up importance. Here is your school schedule." I nod taking the paper. "My apologies but I must ask, what species are you? That information for some reason has been blacked out." I reveal my tail. "Oh are you a kitsune? How nice." I shake my head. "I'm just a wolf." He nods. "I see." Kitsunes are high ranked and stuck up, they look down on others, most mythical creatures do especially ones with high purpose for example kitsunes can guide people or they can be a bit mischievous. They only use that for spying or infiltrating enemy grounds. Dragons protect sacred treasures, mermaids protect the boats from sirens and do in and so on. Then you have Santa, E. Aster bunny, tooth fairy, Jack Frost, you know the original supposed myths. There are some rare mythical creatures that keep their identity blacked out because of how high ranked they are or if they are related to a high ranked they try to keep it on the down low so they don't draw attention. I leave the deans office and I'm welcomed by loud noises. It would have been nice if he had someone show me around the school. Gym is first, they have two gyms one for humans and the second one for mutants and other creatures. It's to help keep things fair when it comes to physical strength and abilities and to keep them safe so we don't accidentally hurt them in gym. There are humans with powers so more than likely they will be in the gym with us. I scan the door numbers carefully making sure I don't miss it. "Right on time." I tell myself smiling as the school bell rings. I step in, I'm the first one here, good. "Are you the new student, River?" I nod my head. "Welcome to the academy I'm coach Spence." He's a Minotaur, I never seen one in person before. "Since you're early you can go up to the girls locker room to change. Are these your size?" I look at the tags and nod taking them. "Thank you." There's a hole in the shorts for my tail. Clothes are made well detailed to accommodate the different creatures that are out there. I go up to the girls locker room quietly changing into my gym clothes when the door opens. "He promised to take me out shopping only because I told him I'm buying something the extra special for him." A black and white rabbit walk in with two other girls, the one on her right has bat wings and the other has colorful bird wings, she must be part macaw. They look at whatever is on her phone. "Oh that's hot he's definitely going to love it." Rich kids are so weird. "Who is she?" I hear one of them ask. "She must be new here, I never seen her before." I try to walk away but they stop me. "What's your name? I never seen you here before." Maybe they're nice. "My name is River, I'm from queens." The rabbit studied for a moment. "Are you just a mutant?" I nod. "Yup just wolf ears and tail, nothing special." She smiles. "Don't say that about yourself, we're all equal here, human or not. Even though being a mutant is pretty cool it's even cooler if you're a mythical creature, like me. My dad is the Easter bunny, what about you?" My ears go back. "Oh uhm... I was raised by human parents actually. My-" her expression shifts. "You were raised by humans?" Her nose crinkles up. "Did you like, grow up around them your whole life?" I smile. "Yeah pretty much my-" she cuts me off. "That's terrible! Do you know anything about our kind?" I nod. "Yea, they taught me everything I needed to know and the history of our kind. A few mutants live in my area but to see actual mythical creatures in person is pretty cool." They scoff. "Such a typical human response." My ears go back at her words. "Typical human?" She hums. "Yeah, you're a mutant at least act like you've been around high rankers and other creatures. So who are these adoptive parents of yours?" I shrug. "My mother is a witch and my father is warlock." They look at me in disgust. "That's even worse, they treat us like tools." I frown. "Not all of them are." She laughs. "Whatever you say, freak." She shoves past me and I scoff. "What a bitch." I mumble. I go out to the court joining the group. "It looks like everyone is here... almost everyone where are the Hamato brothers?" Hamato? That name sounds familiar. I believe my parents told me about that family name before. "Sorry we're late our meeting took a lot longer than it should have." I never seen guys this attractive before! All four of them are turtles. The first one have beautiful dark blue eyes, the one next to him has yellow greenish eyes, the other have ruby eyes and the other has baby blue eyes. "They're so hot!" One girl says behind me. The one with yellow greenish eyes have tattoos going down his arm. "You bitches wish you had them." That stupid rabbit says walking up to them. "Leo!" She squeals going into his arms. The girl with batwings run into the arms of the one with tattoos. "Hey Raphie!" They smile looking at them with mostly lust. I change my mind they're not as attractive anymore. If they're with them they're just as much as an asshole as them. "Those girls are so lucky!" Another girl says. I decide to search them up quickly and my eyes widen. Their family was the first! They were the first mutants, they used to live in the sewers in hiding to protect New York until one day they revealed themselves after a huge battle with shredder and that changed everything for everyone. The one with ruby eyes and glasses glance over at me, his eyes lingered for a few minutes before looking away to talk to his brothers then they all glance at me. "Babe are you even listening to me?" All 8 eyes look straight at me, what is their deal? "Yeah..." she looks where they're looking then frowns. "Ugh, ignore her she's nothing special just some mutant she was raised by a witch and a warlock or whatever." All their eyes stay on me. "Did she just say she was raised by a warlock and a witch?" A guy whispered now all eyes are me, great! Witches and humans that study magic are looked down upon due to the hunting and using mutants and mythical creatures as familiars and slaves but not all of them were bad. "Poor girl, her parents must have died as slaves." My brown skin heats up from embarrassment. "That's enough class let's head outside." A girl skips over to the one in purple, his had slides to her waist down to her ass squeezing as he pulls her in for a whole makeout session. His eyes look over at me in the process while his brothers smirk at my reaction. I huff walking away they're all jerks! My first day is already starting off rocky.
