The ringing in Rin's ears were enough to wake her up from her passed out state. Her eyes crept open only to hear the loud yet slow beating of a heart.

Rin awoke in the darkest pits of the Cursed Realm. Several ghosts surrounded her as she regained consciousness. The blue foggy walls surrounded them, as the apparent encasing of bones settled upon the walls.

"A new soul has descended upon us!" one ghost announced.

As Rin slowly sat up, she attempted to hold her composure as much as she could. Never in her life had she actually seen a ghost, let alone what seemed to be a whole army.

The ghosts are my friends, she recalled her father telling her. Show no fear, and they'll hold no power above me.

"Tell us, how might a ripe soul like yours have ended up here?" another ghost asked in a more feminine yet sinister tone. The ghost wore a hood covering most of her face, and wore a red and navy blue robe.

"I personally decided to venture here," Rin told the crowd. "I am the elemental master of spirits, and I was told that to truly master my power, coming here to the Cursed Realm was the right way to go. I've come to gain strength."

Snickers rushed over the crowd, leaving a confused look on the girl's face.

"How bewitched must you be to want to venture to a cursed place like this? You've locked yourself in a realm with no way out!" a male scruffy voice boomed. His face was cloaked, and held a bow in his right arm.

Many spirits fled from the circle around the girl, as Rin felt a wave of panic rush through her. Perhaps I should've given this more thought...on one hand, I won't be burdened with witnessing my father's death. Though with these circumstances, she thought, I don't know if I'll ever escape from here.

Only a few ghosts remained near Rin, awaiting her answer. Her hand gripped her mace harder, as she removed the hood that covered the top of her head.

But that doesn't matter. As long as I don't age in this realm, I must remember what I came here for.

"I want nothing more than to further my training in becoming a master of spirit. If I must stay here for an eternity, then so be it," Rin spoke boldly.

"If that's you're wish," the female ghost from earlier began, as green mist formed around her hands. Quickly, more of the substance had started appearing in her palms, as a double sided weapon formed in her grasp. Green, sharp, blades sat at both ends of the handle, as the woman held the weapon in front of her, "then let's see what you got!"

The ghost jumped at Rin, holding her blade high. Rin spun her mace aggressively, as their weapons collided with one another. The ghost's blade jabbed towards Rin, as she backed up with every swing. Rin swung her mace at the blade, almost knocking it out of the woman's hands.

By this time, more and more ghosts had surrounded the two, cheering for both of the women fighting.

I thought ghosts were supposed to be friends! Rin thought as she continually backed away from the blade cutting through the air. Why is she fighting me?!

After jumping out of the way from the ever so sharp weapon, Rin saw her opportunity. With much force, she wound up her mace and hit the blade with aggression, knocking it out of her hand. Upon leaving her palms, the blade vanished, leaving the woman defenceless.

"The girl isn't too bad, but it doesn't look like Bansha's on her A-game today." A ghost commented. His words travelled across the walls rather well, for Bansha was able to hear it.

"Oh please! She hasn't seen anything yet!" Bansha snapped, as she formed legs below her torso. She ran up to Rin, catching her off guard. She landed a kick to her chest, which knocked her to the ground. Bansha ran further back and stopped for a moment.
