if you ever see me stop,
you know it's not for me.
i've been waiting for a chance for us,
but i guess we'll never be.

your love was my salvation,
the peak of every hue.
your words were my saving grace,
but now i don't want you.

you deserved the universe,
yet i was just a star.
a star that's losing all its spark,
we were so close yet so far.

i thought i've had my shelter,
the man i'd call my home.
but i guess we're better off like this,
not together and alone.

i guess we're never meant to be,
'cause i'm not the one you deserve.
and i won't let you get so close to me,
'cause i know i'm not fixed and i'm curved.

i loved the clouds above you,
but i'll fly my wings away.
i won't bid my last goodbye,
but i'll watch the skies turn grey.

i'll see myself turn dark again,
like a star that lost its light.
i won't see you try to follow,
but i know i'll do what's right.
