I jump up and walk to our bedroom. I pull the dress out from the box holding it up. It really is gorgeous, and I can't believe Kai bought it for me. He had assured me later that the money spent didn't mess up his finances which is what I was most stressed about.

I slip the dress on, and Phoebe comes in to help me zip it up.

We had decided on a pair of plain black heels with thin straps around the ankle, the heel however was 3 inches, and although that's probably nothing to most women it was 3 inches to high for me. The day we bought them Phoebe made me practice walking in them for like an hour. Phoebe dressed me in some silver dangling earrings, a silver necklace with a small heart on the end and silver bangles and an anklet, it all matched with the sweet charm bracelet that Kai had gotten for me for graduation. I wanted to make a wolf joke about the silver but she wouldn't think it was as funny as I would...

"Mija Kai is here!" I hear Abuelita yell from the front of the house.

I look at Phoebe and do a deep nervous breath. She grabs my shoulders and shakes me. "You're gonna be fine. Have fun Cinderella" she says. "But don't loose a shoe, those were expensive and I intend on borrowing them" we both laugh at her confession and she helps me walk to the hallway.

When I get into the living room my eyes look for Kai who is standing by the front door looking at a family photo my mom had hanging in the entrance.

My jaw nearly hit the floor, and all I wanted to do was grab him and do unspeakable things to him.

He was wearing a black tux that was well fit to show he was muscular but not too tight, just right. He was definitely wearing hair product to keep his usual hairstyle at bay from fly aways, his beard not shaved, but a handsome stubble that framed his sharp jaw line perfectly. He hadn't noticed I had been staring and I was thankful, but nothing prepared me for the way he looked at me when he finally noticed my presence.

It looked like he had experienced the same feeling as me. His jaw however did hit the floor.

"Stick your tongue back in mijo you'll catch a fly" my dad says suddenly coming into view.

"Dad!" I whisper scream at him and he gives me a "what it's true" look.

"Sorry sir" Kai says stifling a laugh.

"Are you ready to go?" Kai asks offering his hand to me.

"Wait wait I need pictures!" Phoebe yells grabbing her phone from her pocket.

"Phoebe no" I whine, but Kai takes a step closer to me and wraps his arm around my waist pulling me to his side and giving me a tight squeeze.

"Sure thing Phoebs" Kai says in a smooth voice.

He looks down at me and he nods his head at me and smiles.

I sigh and turn slightly to the side and leaned against Kai's chest.

"Say cheese!" Phoebe yells.

We both smile, and I just hope Kai fully smiled so I can have photo evidence of those dimples of his.

"Okay I'm done!" She says.

"Have fun sis" she says giving me a hug.

"Be careful mija" my grandma says giving me and Kai a hug.

"You take care of my baby girl" my dad says pointing a finger at Kai.

"Dad!" I whisper scream again.

He gives Kai a pointed look, but it's easy to see he's doing this just to tease.

"Have fun" is all my mom says from the kitchen. She barley even looked at us as we were leaving. I was a little hurt by it but I tried not to let it ruin my night.
