MY LIFE IN AND OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL

CHAPTER SIX

It's the start of a new weekend and I'm really excited since I get to see Zach but I'm also not a hundred percent excited since my dad on the other hand may not really agree to me going for a party with my friends. Hell, if he does I really don't know what to wear to the party. I'm actually nervous.

As I wake up to a blissful and beautiful sun, I try to be on my best behavior perhaps that would give me a better chance at being allowed to the party. I got out of bed and crossed my room in quick steps straight to the kitchen to do the dishes of last night and prepare something for breakfast before my dad would be up.

Unfortunately for me I still haven't learnt to beat him to the kitchen for breakfast.

"Not again" I said flinging my hands in the air

"It's really gonna take you a while and lots of discipline and motivation or sleepless night to beat me to an early morning breakfast". Besides why are you up this early. It's so unlike you. Are you bothered by something." My dad asked looking quizzically at me. I knew he was going to figure it out anytime soon and I really didn't want that but how do I tell him I wanted to go to a party at my girlfriend's place. Maybe I could just sneak out, or lie to him about homework or club activities, football tryouts....Gosh this is killing.

"If you wouldn't tell me what it is I can as well guess, and you know how good I am at making guesses it's more like I see through you, hear your thoughts, more like I am superhuman". He reminded

"I know Dad. You know how much I love you, and how I am trying hard to move on with my life and be a good student and daughter?. I replied still unsure about how to put my words out to him.

"What do you want princess, you know I'd do anything for you" he teased

"Aoife is throwing a party at her house and I am the only one not going, and the whole school would be there and I really want to go....I don't wanna be the odd one out. Please, pretty please." I practically begged

"Hmmmm! Ursula, be careful and be back before dinner, no alcohols and stay away from BOYS" he said

I ran to him with a happy scream and a big hug...."thanks Dad. I love you. You're totally and truely the best dad in the world"

"Of course and you're my princess but keep to all I said" he warned

"I promise, no alcohol, late nights and most especially BOOOYYYYSSSS" I said exempting Zach at the back of my mind while I ran back up the stairs to inform my girlfriend's and pick out my outfit for the night

"What to wear, what to wear. Girls I am confused about what to wear" I told my girls while conference calling them.

"Stop panicking. I know all this is because of Zach". Dawn said trying to calm me

"Sweetheart, why don't you just pick anything. I'm sure he'd like you just as you are" said Daphne.

"I am not panicking and I really wanna look good and on point with other girls there and not just too loud or too low on my outfit". That's why I called you guys. I replied trying to be convincing enough

"Alright, that's it. Go with the peach skater skirt and a white halter top. Also, don't forget to pair it up with the leather jacket and your strap on sandals. And you'd be good to go. Aoife replied
