In Distant Fields

a soft gust of wind whispers to my skin
breathing its air down through me, deep within
its aura was very familiar
like at a second home, peculiar
I felt like it was taking me to a place
my senses were lured in its lovely trace
miles upon miles of crossing lands
leaving me with sights so pretty, in strands
I arrived at a park with a field
its bliss was ethereal, bright teal
I gaze upon the sky with its essence
a charm that glowed its lovely fluorescence
a quiet ambient melody plays
this idyllic dream shines its rays
the setting abruptly changes my eyes
twas but a dream, I awaken to rise
I look out my window to see this chill peace
a garden and lawn, mere steps from my fleece
my heart weeps for our love to shine bright
making the darkness flee to retreat in flight
this small experience is like no other
like a gentle hug from my calm mother
I have courage in the worst of such fears
my mood is stable, after those painful tears
remember the reason why you kept going
a change in attitude.. we are flowing
you can make an impact on so many
with no fee, free of charge, costs no penny
we have so much good to be grateful for
its power came from within, in your core
I chant a hymn along this short pathway
the bad things will leave, and the good will stay
so let's make an effort to save the lost
as we approach the light that shows its cross
what matters the most is beyond money
the dawn came out, the weather is sunny
as life goes by and changes, so do we
the little things are charming.. I feel free
to close this passage of tranquility,
I set off to the silence peacefully
resting for a while to think about
the things that I cannot live without
my head perches a slump on this soft bed,
relaxing after a day's work well shed
my mind slowly drifts off into these frontiers,
as I wander through the distant fields here..
