Our Paths Crossed

My mind drifts off in a vast sea of wonder
As I float to the surface from where I was under
This lack of emotion has made me so brave
Protecting these souls from the scary cave
These orbs of delight are my stars that glow
An emitting vibe that dances to and fro
The galaxies above pull me in more
Closer to my heart that beats in its core
I glance at the sights of awe with color
I just know in this time there will not be another
The spirit flows through me as I enter
This void of dust that dwells in the center
I dream a dream where there is no chaos,
No war, no suffering, no hate, no loss
Yet our strength persists in this fight
For the peace to remain without much light
We learn and find so much in this place
This process is slow; life is not one race
The sun is the warmth that helps us thrive
A hope in a dying world that barely survives
The blood that was shed for our goodness sake
Who knows where the gems might rest in one's wake
Our journey can begin once we embark
The patterns we notice can lie in the dark
This life is full of many stories untold
Until we witness the tales unfold
We all take a breath in this grand harmony
And then we sing a hymn so ardently
I land back down on Earth to end my trip
An escape to the ether in my ship
I seek eternity in those clouds someday
But for now, I must resume my life for today
I conclude this passage of our paths crossed
We will soon find what has been lost
The divine awaits for us to depart soon
An experience much bigger than the moon
Or any other great feat we have reached
This is a chance to apply what they have teached
So let us remember those times of past,
As we head towards a future home at last...
