Joe looked after her all his life and would continue to do so for the rest of his life.
Grace had always been beautiful and talented. People didn't like that. They kept bullying her for being the person they couldn't be.
He learned from watching a crime series for a creative way to save her from these lunatics. She didn't need to know. He wasn't in for her affection. He only wanted her to be happy.
He closed his barn after feeding his pigs the last of his victim's remains.
The bullies were just a herd of pigs, after all.
