Y/n POV

It has been a week since that day. Pain and Konan had arrived back at the hideout about three days ago but refused to explain what had happened. Surprisingly, you didn't care. Ever since that night, you and Deidara had grown pretty close, to the point where he would visit your room every night to talk about his day or anything in general. It was nice, you never had someone who would insist this much on you, so you went along.

"So, what do you think about this one, un?" Deidara says, showing you his newest creation. It was a smile, yet beautiful bird sculpture.

"It's beautiful Deidara" You say gently holding it, caressing the top of its head. Deidara giggles at your action.

"I'll be going on another mission tomorrow, it'll be quite important, so I'm making sure to do a lot of these" He says leaning on the wall, sitting closer to you. "So make sure to wish me luck, right?"

Deidara's eyes felt like warm hugs, something you never have enjoyed before, he gently smiles at you before leaning closer to you. You knew exactly his intentions, but who were you to judge his actions? Should you just do what'll please him? Would you even care if something happened?

Your head was filled with questions, your body didn't know what to do, how to react. So you just stood there, allowing someone to do what they wanted to do once again. But before his lips could meet yours, a strong grip on you pulled you away from Deidara.

"Oi! What the fuck Sasori!"  Deidara yells, strongly grabbing the bedsheets.

"I need the brat's assistance, now" You look up, locking eyes with Sasori, who's tightly grabbing your arms.

"Well you gotta wait, you can't just barge in and do whatever you want, un!" Deidara complains, getting up from his bed. But before you could say anything, Sasori quickly pulls you away from the room, closing the door. You can hear Deidara's angry footsteps walking towards the door, however, you were already in Sasori's room once the angry blonde opened the door.

Sasori's room had a dark, yet comforting aura. All of his puppets were perfectly placed on each shelf. His tools were also perfectly aligned in his table, which had just enough space for a human-sized body.

You stood there, waiting for an explanation.

But to no avail.

Sasori only stood here, as the two of you silently face each other. You let out a frustrated sigh. "You are indeed a nuisance"

"Excuse you" Sasori says, regaining his posture.

"Why are you interfering with my personal issues?" You say, crossing your arms.

"Maybe if you weren't so naive I wouldn't have to do so" Sasori seems even more bothered after saying that, he turns his back on you, silently muttering to himself.

You reluctantly hold his hand, preventing him from walking away. Sasori never avoided confrontation before and seeing him acting this way confused you more than you cared to admit.

"Please talk to me. I know you have something to say, stop being so stubborn"  For a brief moment, Sasori's gaze made you shiver, his eyes went from unsure to deep anger you had seen only once in your life.

"I think you should stop bothering me" He roughly removed his hand from yours. "I was nice enough to not let you rot on that Jashinist's hands, perhaps that would've been a better choice" You could feel your body losing strength as he yelled in rage. "Why don't you make yourself useful for once and leave already? I'm done pretending to care about you" He finished, you maintained your posture, hiding your shaky hands in the comforting darkness of your cloak.

Sighing deeply, you left the room, not being able to look Sasori in his eyes. Sad memories filled your head as you aimlessly walked towards your room, closing the door as you got in.

The sound of firm footsteps coming towards your room made you hold tighter to the blanked round your, still shaky body. Silence fills the room as the person knocks on your door, you simply couldn't bring yourself to say anything, you knew you'd lose your cool if you said anything. The door opens, revealing Pain's expressionless eyes. You somehow knew he heard everything.

"...I'm, so sorry..." That's all you could say, your raspy voice made you sound so helpless. Pain sighs, his eyes now looking at you with a reassuring gaze, you knew that would be the closest thing to comforting you'd get from him.

He slowly places a piece of paper on your desk, calmly placing a hand on your shoulder, reassuring you it wasn't urgent. His comforting eyes go back to his usual emotionless ones as he leaves, closing your door.

Tobi's loud giggles were more than enough to wake you from your sleep. You could get used to sleeping again. Your feet softly touch the floor as you slowly regain conscience, walking slowly towards the door. You think to yourself about Deidara's mission, he would leave today, you felt uneasy about that since you didn't say a thing to him after what had happened the day before, almost guilty.

Finally reaching the living room you notice Deidara yelling at Tobi as usual. You could feel your heart aching, Sasori's words made you remember things you wish you could forget, and you knew no one would be there to comfort you, no one.

Without thinking, you tightly hug Deidara, not being able to see or hear anything else. You could feel your hands shaking again, you never had anyone you could rely on, and Deidara was the only person who treated you nicely after so long. You hated the fact you still wanted to have someone by your side. And you hated, even more, the fact you knew Deidara wasn't the one.

"Hey hey, is everything okay, un?" Deidara's worried pleas finally reach you. "I'm sorry..." You silently say as the blonde pats your head. "It's okay, I'm guessing you just had a bad night, un"
