Hand and hand, we made our way down the hall. I guess you could call it the official annunciation of our relationship.
"Ready?"
"Ready," Draco murmurs.
As we walked, we could feel the jealous eyes glaring at us.
Anyways, we made our way into the main hall, going our separate ways, but not before kissing one another. It is quite a weird feeling, being that we have never shown affection toward one another in public.
I sat next to Hermione as the trio looked at me with shocked looks.
"What," I state, breaking their strange glances.
"And when were you going to tell us about you two," Hermione states subtly.
"Well, if you needed to know, we've been in a relationship for quite a while now."
She seemed to be a little taken aback by this secrecy.
"Well, as long as your happy, then we are all happy," Ron responds with a friendly smile.
"But are you happy," Harry cuts in quickly.
"Yeah, I am," I reply confidently.
"We knew it," a pair of voices responded from behind me.
Fred and George barged in, sitting next to us.
"See, we didn't want to say anything, but we did capture you two snogging in the courtyard," Fred winks at me.
I could feel my cheeks burning red as Hermione looked at me with her jaw dropped.
My eyes darted toward Draco as he seemed to be having a very similar embarrassing conversation. I looked back down at my food as George changed the subject.
"So did you guys hear: Umbridge is gone."
"That's too bad. We had a whole prank ready," Fred continues.
"Yeah, sorry guys, that's my bad," I reply softly.
"Huh," Fred replies as everyone looks at me.
"Well, I kinda killed her," I state awkwardly.
Everyone looked at me dumbfounded for a minute straight.
"I didn't mean to, of course," I stumbled.
"How did that even happen," Harry replies.
"I was under the influence of Voldemort at the time. I was trying to find Draco because he had the third notebook you guys read, and I crossed paths with her. She was babbling on about giving me detention, and I used one of the unforgivable curses. Because of her death, I was able to break out of Voldemort's hold on my consciousness, but he still had some control. And well..."
I peered down at my food as I could feel the tears begging to be released.
"What did he do," Harry beckoned.
"He made me hallucinate Cedric," I reply reluctantly.
"What," a look of frustration plastered on Harry's face.
"Yeah," I reply weakly.
"We're sorry," the twins reply simultaneously.
"No, it's alright," I reply calmly.
I took a deep breath before changing the subject.
"So, Harry, has your scar hurt at all lately?"
"Yeah," he replies, grabbing the back of his neck.
"I would talk to Snape and Dumbledor about that issue," I winked.
"Alright," he smiles.
We finished our food, making our way to class. Draco appeared beside me. I could feel as his cold hand snaked around mine, placing it into his pocket. I squeeze his hand one last time before entering the charms room.
Trying to pull out a pen from my pocket, I felt a piece of paper. I pulled it out quickly. My eyes narrowed as I read it under the table.
Meet me at the quidditch field at midnight.
I see his notes have not improved whatsoever. I shook my head, giggling to myself, before placing the note back into my pocket. For the rest of the day, I couldn't focus on anything except for what Draco had planned for the two of us. Things were seeming to settle down, and I was taking my time to appreciate the normalcy of my schedule.
Once the moon made its way to the middle of the sky, I walked into the empty arena. Looking around, I was suddenly lifted in the air by no other than Draco.
"Draco, you scared me half to death," I squealed.
"Well, at least you don't have to worry about falling off a tall tower," he replies swiftly.
"Oh, so I see Draco the comedian has returned," I giggle.
"Only for you," he winks.
"So, what are we doing here?"
"I was thinking of teaching you how to play quidditch."
"Well, Harry already taught me, and I don't think I'm too bad if I say so myself," I snicker.
"Oh really, well see about that."
We headed over to the supply closet, grabbing two brooms. We lifted off into the air, tossing around the quaffle. We played multiple games as a team and as adversaries.
After what felt like hours of playing, I landed, lying on the ground to stargaze. Draco joined in seconds later as we both sat in silence, admiring the natural wonders of the world.
Our breaths, slowing as we took in the tranquility of the night.
"Remember when we first met in the astronomy tower."
"Of course y/n. I watched silently as you entered, admiring the view."
I smiled, kissing him lightly.
"I loved it when you just let me go on about my day with your sweater on," I exclaimed sarcastically.
"Well, what can I say you looked really good in it."
I giggled to myself, pulling our warm bodies together.
"I love you so much," I whispered in his ear.
"I know."
I playfully push him away as we both continue to stare at the stars.
