Most days, he doesn't get a single text from his friends. That was mainly due to the fact they saw each other everyday, but they only left the dorms this morning. He let out a sigh as he began reading through the texts. It was mainly his classmates asking if he was alive since he usually responds right away. The only text he really cared about at the second was the one from his mom.
Mom- Where you at brat? Neither you or Izuku are answering your phones. You guys okay?
Bakugo- We're fine, been driving all day. We're going to get a hotel for the night. We'll be home tomorrow.
He quickly sent the text before backing out with a sigh. He supposed he could call Kirishima back. He never got the chance though. When he went to go press call, he had an incoming video call from Kaminari. He groaned slightly as he swiped the green button, answering the video call.
"Holy hell! Guys! Bakubro's alive!" Kaminari yelled through the phone, causing Midoriya to look up in confusion.
"Why wouldn't I be idiot?" Bakugo questioned as he picked up another fry.
"We've been trying to get ahold of you all day!" Kirishima yelled as he appeared next to Kaminari. "Yayorozu's parents are out on business so she invited everyone from the dorm to come hang out for the extended weekend before we all cram." He explained.
"Is that Bakugo?" A peppy voice asked in the back ground.
"Yeah!" Kirishima yelled back with a toothy grin. A few seconds later, Uraraka popped into the camera as well.
"Have you heard from Deku? I haven't been able to get ahold of him all day. Even when he is having a bad day, he usually let's me know.." She said in a worried tone.
"Hold on." Bakugo groaned as he pushed the book bag in front of him to the right. Midoriya gave him a questioning look, but didn't say anything. The blonde turned up the volume so Midoriya could hear as well before carefully leaning his phone against the bag, allowing Midoriya to be in the picture as well.
"Deku!" Uraraka yelled when she saw her best friend. "We've been trying to get ahold of you both all day."
"Sorry!" Midoriya replied immediately. "We've been out on Kaachan's motorcycle all day, so we haven't been on our phones too much." Midoriya explained with an apologetic tone.
"Where are you guys anyway?" Kirishima questioned as he looked to the background in the screen.
"I don't know actually." Midoriya replied with a nervous smile.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Uraraka questioned with urgency.
"Hazuki." Bakugo replied when he finished chewing his food.
"Isn't that like five hours away?" Kirishima questioned in confusion. "What are you guys doing there?"
"I needed an escape so we just went for a drive. Every time we came to an intersection, we flipped a coin." Midoriya replied simply. "We ended up in this little town and they happen to be having a festival."
"So you guys went to a random festival based on a coin?" Kaminari questioned in confusion.
"Yes you idiot. That's literally what Deku just said." Bakugo spat harshly. Trying to listen to the three all talk at once was giving him a headache.
"Are you having fun Deku?" Uraraka questioned. That was all she really cared about. Well, that and his safety.
"Yeah! Kaachan won me this cute plushie from a balloon game!" He exclaimed as he held the bunny towards the camera for everyone to see.
"That's so sweet!" Uraraka said with a wide smile. She wasn't an idiot. She could see what was happening between the two boys, everyone could.
"So what did you need?" Midoriya questioned as he gently placed the bunny back in this lap. "You said you were trying to get ahold of me."
"We're all at Yaoyorozu's until her parents come back on Sunday. We were trying to convince you to join, but you look busy." She said with a sad smile. She was glad he was feeling better and hanging out with people again, but she missed her best friend.
"We'll be back in town tomorrow, so I can come after we get home." Midoriya informed as the lights began shutting off at the festival.
"You guys are staying there tonight?" She questioned.
"Is the festival over? You guys are getting darker." Kaminari questioned as he squinted, thinking that would make the boys easier to see.
"It's already dark, so we're just gonna get a hotel and head back tomorrow." Midoriya explained as closed his book.
"We have to go." Bakugo groaned as he went to reach for his phone.
"Text us when you guys get to your hotel later." Uraraka lectured before a boom went off to the side of the boys. Their classmates immediately smiled as the fireworks between the two boys lit their screen.
"Yeah, yeah." Bakugo rolled his eyes as he grabbed his phone. "Later." He said before hanging up. Midoriya didn't say anything as he intently watched the multicolored fireworks burst above them. While Midoriya was focused on those, the blonde was focused on him. He couldn't help but smile at the way the lights from the fireworks reflected off his beautiful green orbs. In the few seconds he wasn't looking at the freckled man, Midoriya was looking at him. His heart began racing as memories of the last few weeks flashed through his mind. They had gotten so close recently and Midoriya couldn't complain one bit about it, he loved everything about the blonde.
His surprisingly soft hair, his beautiful ruby eyes, and his amazing personality. The blonde may have a hard exterior and act like he doesn't care about anyone, but he has one of the biggest hearts Midoriya had ever come to contact with. Most importantly, he loved the way Bakugo made him feel. He felt weightless and happy when he was around the blonde. He felt like he was worth something and like he mattered. Midoriya's stomach filled with butterflies as the pieces all came together in his mind.
Oh my god, I think I love Kaachan.
