" Look what you did, you little brat!" my mother screamed at me. My sister had wrecked the car, leaving me to deal with the consequences.
" I didn't do anything!" I shouted back, desperately trying to get away from her. She grabbed me by the hair, causing me to cry out, and slammed my head into the wall. Blood ran down my face and into my eyes, producing more tears.
" Please," I sobbed, choking on my words, " I didn't...do anything!" She ignored me and kept slamming my head into the wall. Over. And over. Again. And again.
All I could think about was Noah as I slipping into the blackness.
I was waiting tables the next day when I felt extremely dizzy, my vision going blurry.
Just push through it.
I was going back to the kitchen when my legs faltered beneath me and I slipped into the blackness again.
