See, Eight had never been a girly girl. Not because she didn't want to; it was quite the opposite. Growing up, the small instances wherein Reginald let them out of the house, she'd see a lot of girls her age wearing these beautiful sundresses and feel a fit of burning jealousy in her chest.

It was unfair. Kids her age could wear whatever they wanted - dresses, headbands, earrings, and yet she was stuck with her shitty academy uniform, those boring training suits, and those special suits tailored to her style that she'd wear on missions.

Even when she grew up, there weren't a lot of choices. Granted she did spend most of her life in the apocalypse on the brink of death and would only wear clothes that made her not freeze to death; she at least thought that when she joined the commission, she'd have her own creative freewill.

Of course, that wasn't the case. They had given the suits that made her look hideous.

In all honesty, Eight didn't know what to expect. Having been in boring clothes her whole life made her think that she'd look extremely questionable, maybe out of place, but not this.

"Holy shit." Eight mumbled, staring at herself infront of the mirror. She was wearing a pink dress that Klaus bought for her that felt awfully comfortable to her surprise. The girl was a bit fascinated as she had never seen herself in anything else except her uniform and the tacky commission suits, and it made her feel good about herself.

Damn, Eight thought to herself as she spun around to get a better view of herself. Since when did I have a body?

Although Eight would've loved to admire how attractive she suddenly found herself, she knew that the clock was ticking and that each second she did something stupid would only go to waste. Instead of ogling at herself for a few more minutes, she went out of the bathroom, ignoring Elliot, grabbing a water bottle as she went to the cafe where she was with Five and Vanya earlier.

She still wasn't used to the sixties, despite having visited the era a lot of times back when she was at the commission. She could still see the dirty looks people were sending her way as she walked, and it made her uncomfortable.

Nonetheless, she shoves it down her through and continues to walk. down the road.

Ignoring the dirty looks was going pretty well for her until she noticed a man following her. The girl let out an annoyed sigh as she took a turn into a different alley, purposely cornering herself so that the man would think he got the upper hand.
