Chapter 1

"Percy, it's better this way. You can take a break from all the fighting. You need to focus on you for a while..." Chiron stopped for a moment before laying a gentle hand on percy's shoulder and continuing with caution. "You need to accept that she's gone."

"She's not gone!" Percy shouted as he jumped from his seat and violently knocked Chiron's hand off the boys muscular shoulder! "Don't talk about her like that! They are out there somewhere! My Mom and Paul! Someone has them, and I am going to get them back. With or without your help!"

"Percy, we all want to find Sally and Paul. But we haven't found a single lead. We have no idea where they might be and we can't continue just attacking every person, god, or monster who may have a grudge against you." Annabeth explained trying to calm her irrational Boyfriend.

"Mainly because it's starting to seem like there is no end to that list." Grover piped in, from across the room.

They had been on quest after quest, and battle after battle since Percy got home. Percy of course, leading all of them. Most of them were his idea and of course everyone wants to help him. But at this point, the trail has run cold and Percy is getting desperate!

Everyone was so happy when Percy finally came back from Tartarus. That included Percy of course, but his happiness was short lived. When he finally went home to see his Mother after 8 months, he found that Sally and Paul were gone from their apartment. The entire apartment was ripped to shreds. Percy and his friends have been searching for them ever since.

"Percy the police are wondering where you are. They have been searching for not only your parents, but you too Percy! Now school is starting and you must go back to school!" Chiron explained trying not to upset the boy again.

"What does it matter if the police are looking for me! The police won't be able to find me at camp and they are no help looking for my parents anyway." Percy continued to yell. "School is unimportant anyway. I can just live and learn at camp full time. Like Annabeth. It'll give me more time to focus on finding mom and Paul."

"Sally wouldn't want that Percy. She wanted you to go to school like a normal kid... There was a time when you wanted that too, Percy." Annabeth explained.

"So what? You guys just expect me to just give up on finding my own mother!" Percy exclaimed, throwing a map he had been looking at before down on the desk in front of him. "Besides if I'm not staying at camp. Where am I supposed to stay. If you haven't noticed our apartment is in ruins, my mother is missing, and I don't have any other living relatives... at least not on earth."

"Actually, in their efforts to find your Mother, the police did some research into your Mother's family. As it turns out she was raised by her mother, but never met her Father." Chiron explained.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a one night stand thing and he never really found out... what does this have to do with me?" Percy snapped.

"Well, that same man turned out to have a son. Making him, your uncle." Chiron explained slowly this time and then the room fell silent, letting Percy process what he had just learned.

"I have an uncle." Percy muttered to himself.

"Yes, Percy. When the police told him of you and your Mother's existence, he was happy. He wanted to meet you and has even offered to take you in." Chiron explained slowly, still trying not to upset his student.

"That is, if the police could find you." Grover piped in once again from across the room.

"Well, he won't have to worry about it. Because I'm not going to give up on finding my mother." Percy explained a little calmer now, but not much.

"We are not expecting you to give up on your mother. None of us wants that!" Annabeth explained calmly, taking Percy's calloused hands in her's. "We will all continue searching for any sign of Sally or Paul. We just want you to do other things as well. Percy, you don't sleep, you don't eat. All you do is search for them and get into pointless fights with the people closest to you... We just want what's best for you, Percy. Promise me! promise me, you will go meet with your uncle and get away from all of this for a while." Annabeth begged as she held back tears.

The room was silent for a long time as Percy and Annabeth stared into each other's eyes. Eventually Percy sighed and nodded his head in defeat, knowing Annabeth wasn't giving him much of a choice.

Within a few hours Annabeth dropped Percy off at the local police station. She didn't go with him for fear of them interrogating her about where he has been for the last four months.

They knew the police couldn't arrest him for running away, and they would probably just ask a bunch of questions regarding his and his parent's disappearances, before eventually calling his next of kin... And that's exactly what they did. All Percy had to do was lie and explain how he was so distraught about his parent's disappearance that he just ran away and had been living on the street ever since. Which isn't too far from the truth.

"Your uncle is on his way to pick you up, Percy. Are you sure there's nothing else you want to tell us, before he gets here?" The detective asked as he walked back into the interview room, that they had Percy in.

"If there was, I would have said it by now." Percy snapped before taking a deep breath and remembering what Annabeth had told him about snapping at people who are just trying to help. He then remembered something one of the Officers had said and decided to ask about it. "You guys mentioned my Uncle's name was Stark. Why does that name sound familiar to me? Who is he? What does he do for work?"

The Man sporting a cheap suit and bad haircut looked at Percy like he was crazy. It was quiet for a moment before the man answered slowly "Percy, your uncle is Tony Stark!"

They stared at each other in silence for a long time, before Percy finally spoke up. "Who?"

"Who?!?!?!" The man repeated the word back to Percy shocked. "Tony Stark... Iron Man... billionaire, genius, scientist, and member of the Avengers!"

"Wait, what?" Percy exclaimed, shocked at what he had heard. "You mean, he's famous?"

"... That's what sticks out to you?" The detective chuckles. "Don't you know who the Avengers are?"

"I mean, I think I remember hearing about them in school or something... they're like a bunch of people with superpowers or something right?... Wait, are you saying my uncle has superpowers?" Percy asked, sounding confused and worried

"No, he's Iron man! He fights in a flying metal suit of armor! Ring any bells?" The Detective asked, but Percy went silent. He was now absently staring down at the table in front of him.

Percy's heart was now racing. He slowly sat back down as he thought to himself. 'How could my uncle be so famous? I can't be in the spotlight like that. Not in the outside world. The rest of the world is supposed to think I am a normal teenager, with ADHD and dyslexia and really bad grades! What if they find out about me being different. I'm gonna have to keep to myself and make sure they never get suspicious of me and especially not of my Father or bloodline!

"I need you to tell me everything you know about Tony Stark and the Avengers!" Percy suddenly tells the detective sitting across from him.
