This takes place in an AU where the monsters were victorious from the brutal war against their rivals: The humans!
The monsters were raised hearing the battle, about the greatest achievement for monster-kind.
But they also raised them to hate humans, this lead to many becoming more spiteful of the subject.
Sans, however, pittied the humans and looked at them like they were kind and caring, unlike the surface dwellers. Because of this many monsters looked down on the skeleton and Papyrus tried to reason with him saying things like, "Sans humans are cruel creatures they hunted us while they were living among us."
But Sans didn't pay much attention to his brothers nagging,
He always wanted to see the trapped humans, we wondered what they would be like. Would they be caring? Would they be angry from the war? Would they all be dead?
He wished he could have a chance to meet them.
