the sound of birds chirping was faintly heard by the window as few beams of sunlight seeped through. even though the lines of sunlight is aesthetically pleasing for the eyes, it was rather a bit inconvenient to have the window located exactly on the wall beside the bed
the lights invaded the bed, hitting directly on the two people there. the male had his back laying flat on the bed as one of his arms is tucked behind his neck for extra comfort as the other arm was around the girl's shoulder, holding her in place
the girl was on her side as her head was resting on his chest with an arm laying across his abdomen. her breathing is synchronized with his heartbeat
due to their position, only one person felt the sunlight causing his eyes to twitch. chenle slowly opened his eyes before blinking repeatedly, adjusting to the new brightness.
his eyes followed the streams of light until he saw it hitting the crown of the girl's head. not wanting it to disturb her sleep, he slowly placed the girl's arm away from his body before gently holding her head as he swiftly changed his position so his back would cover the light from hitting her
he then gently placed her head on his bicep before reaching out his hand behind her to lightly caress her hair. even though he tried to make his movements soundless and minimal, the girl was still able to feel it causing her to slowly wake up from her slumber
since he was already fully awake with his eyes placed on hers, he instantly notices her eyes twitching before it slowly opens.
"did i wake you up?"
hearing his low yet raspy voice first thing in the morning totally caught her off guard, the voice was too pleasing for her ears that it instantly woke her up. her doe eyes trailing up to meet his as his fingers continue to run through her hair, fastening her heartbeat
knowing that her voice wouldn't come out pretty early in the morning, hyein only shook her head before burying it back near his neck as she wraps an arm around his abdomen
seeing her adorable self made him chuckle, sending vibrations from his chest into her cheek. the male continued to stare at her fondly before holding her securely in his arm as he placed his chin on top of her head
"you should sleep again.. it's only 9"
hyein only moved her head up and down against his chest before snuggling closer as a pleased sigh escaped her lips. chenle could only bite his lip to hold back the chuckle that desperately wants to come out as his skin tingled from feeling her warm breath
