" hey. Are you working something?" I asked as he watched the monitor
"Um, no. No, I like to watch the lights come and go." He said " find it kind of relaxing." He added
"Interesting." I stated "hey, umm I need help setting up a good monitor for the baby and a good security system for the house. You think you and Nadia can come by one night?" I asked
"Yeah. You got it. Hey, brooke?" He said as I started to walk away
"Yeah?"
"Just, just give him time. He'll come back." He said and smiled and left. I went to grab coffee before I headed out.
"Heading home?" Jay asked
"Yeah. Gotta go out the kid down." I said
"Right well I'm doing an overnight shift but I can be there in the morning ."
"It's okay, Jay." I said

" um, I ugh, I called the veteran resource office in Chicago

" um, I ugh, I called the veteran resource office in Chicago. And they put me in touch with a peer support group. I've going once a week."
"That's really great, Jay." I said and walked out.
"Brooke, you remember my sister."  Kim said
"Of course how are you?"
"Good how's that baby of yours?"
"He's good. Misses his aunt." I said smiling and went to sit down.
