" Brookie!" Kelly yelled as I walked into the firehouse
"Hey brooks." Matt said and gave me a hug
"Hey bro" I said
"What brings you here?" Gabby asked
" figured I'd stop by before heading into work." I said
"Ohhh going to see a special someone this morning huh?" Kelly wiggles his eyebrows.
"What is wrong with him?" I asked Matt and he just laughed " jay and I are just friends right now."
"Right now as she has plans for the future." Cruz said
"You know I figured I'd stop by and have some breakfast with you guys but you know what I'm not that hungry now." I said starting to walk out
"No no hey Brooke, stay. We'll leave it alone, right guys?" Matt asked
"I guess." Kelly said and I just rolled my eyes and sat and ate with them.

"Morning sunshine." Adam said as I walked in
"Funny." I said
"Where were you?" Antonio asked
"Breakfast with the brother."
" see my sister?" He asked
"Yeah she said to say hello and she'll see you at Molly's tonight."
"Happy training day folks." Voight said coming out of his office "head down to the range." He laughed as everyone sighed
"You know 5 years in the unit you think they'd know we know how to shoot." I said
"Been here over 20 and I'm still doing it." Al said and I laughed. We went downstairs to get ready.
"Need help getting that on right?" Jay asked
"I got it." I said
"Right. Move your hair." He laughed.

"So dinner tonight?" He asked
"Jay, we've been down that road we agreed it wasn't a good idea."
"That was when you first started in the unit. It's been 5 years you said so yourself."
I didn't say anything "it's just dinner, Brooke." He said and I nodded.
"What was that about?" Kim asked me as we walked into the range.
"Nothing." I shrugged
"Right." She smirked

"Let's see who beats who this year." Jay said
"You're on halstead." I smiled and we started to shoot.
Once we were finished we put our gear away.
"I can't believe you beat me again, Casey." Adam said
"Not everyone can be the best at everything." I laughed.
"Okay next is tasers so someone volunteer to be tased and someone volunteer to be the taser." The instructor said "halstead you're first." The guy said
"I volunteer to tase him!" I chirped
