A couple of days later....

Brooke still hasn't gone to see her brother or anyone at 51 so she asked me to go with her to take some of the pressure off.  Hailey was off helping the FBI in New York. I walked into work.

" you are coming back, right?" I asked
" yeah, I miss the wind... and you."
"So you miss me, do you?"
"Shut up. I gotta go. Love you."
"Love you too see you soon." I said and hung up.

" you miss her, huh?" Platt asked me as I passed her.
"Yeah, she's my partner." I said
"Mmhmm that's the only reason." She smirked and I went upstairs.

"I'm just saying... I don't think they're going to forgive me. Why would they? You didn't."
"It's not that I didn't forgive you. I'm still dealing with it. Brooke, you're his sister and their family, they'll forgive you."
" I don't know, Jay. They may not like the new me."
"You mean the one with the big ego?" I joked
"Hey!"  She smiled and I laughed.
"Just breathe. I'm right here with you." I said and she smiled.
