"AUTUMN" Kate giggled before tossing her arms around the girl's neck, pulling their bodies together
"Yes?" Autumn asked in a quiet whisper
"Yes I'll be there with you" Kate chuckled
A deep curve on Autumn's lips made the world stop around Kate. A smile that brought back a million memories in a split second. The precious dimple that crinkles skipped a beat. She had a smile that made you feel happy about being alive just a bit more human
"Really?" The girl squealed, causing Kate to chuckle
"Yes. Really. I wouldn't miss it for anything" Kate whispered as her eyes glanced up the girl, locking with those deep blue eyes
The blue of her eyes reminded her of a mixture of gloss and the bright blue sky of the day, perfect with no signs of dark clouds while they lit up with a sparkle
It was only then did Autumn realize her hands were on Kate's waist while the brunette hooked her arms around her neck, their chests pressed against each other while Autumn was braced against a wall
But they didn't move a muscle, their eyes were too distracted in each other to pull away
Sometimes we wish for that moment where we find ourselves completely lost in another person that we can't control the next thing we do. We can't find that strength to pull away because our hearts and emotions were being sucked into their being and held as one
Which is exactly what was happening to Kate, her eyes trailed over every inch of the girl's face
The perfectly arched brows, her long dark lashes that made her blue eyes even more intense and beautiful, her small and pointy nose all way to her toned cheekbone. She was perfect, she was beautiful and she never failed to take Kate's breath away
Someone so intimidating could be someone so precious. Someone that just wanted to be held until they cry. That's all we wanted, someone to be there to hold our hands in the dark, lead us to the light where life was easier
And for today, Kate knew she needed to be that person for Autumn despite how scared she might be of meeting her parents
"You're so beautiful, you know that?" Autumn questioned
A smile brighter than the morning sun glowed on Kate's lips as she chuckled softly, her cheeks burning red once again
"You're so random" Kate shook her head smiling
"It's not random if it's all I think about" Autumn mumbled almost inaudibly
"What was that?"
"Nothing, don't worry about it" Autumn sighed as she tilted her head back against the wall, still holding the girl's body
"What are you thinking about?" The brunette questioned, her fingers starting to twirl around the girl's hair on the nape of her neck
"You" Autumn said sternly as her eyes fluttered down to the girl's
A swarm of butterflies instantly took over the pit of Kate's stomach as she was stricken with a smile
"Really?" she asked
"Yes"
"What about me?" the girl questioned
"About why the hell are you so annoying" Autumn glared
