~ Five Years Later ~

It was loud in the house and outside of it even louder.

Our daughter Addie, actually Adhara Valentina Black, named after one of the stars in Sirius's name-giving constellation, Canis Major, and my muggle mother, was celebrating her fifth birthday today. It wasn't unusual for us to have people over. In fact, Harry and Ginny and the other kids, well... now adults... as well as Remus, Tonks and their little boy Teddy were frequent visitors. We were often meeting Molly and Arthur as well, especially Molly had been a great help after Adhara had been born, and I was very happy that we had formed this lasting friendship.

Today, though, everyone was here.

Teddy and Adhara were playing in the garden with their toy broomsticks they had got from Harry while I was preparing the cakes and snacks. Tonks was helping me and I was only mildly concerned about her clumsiness. Since she had become a mother, she was very attentive, even though Teddy was a very sweet child and not up for much trouble.

„So, how far are you now?" she asked. „Must be something over twenty weeks, right?"

„Nearing the twenty-fifth week now actually." I let my hand run over my swollen belly. „Our baby boy is really active now. How about you?"

„Oh, the belly is starting to show a little more now," she replied. „I have a feeling that it's a girl this time and we're so excited. Remus is still worried, you know him, but I feel great and I cannot wait to meet her."

„That sounds wonderful," I said. „I can't wait either. It'll be hard but I think the kids will love some more company."

„Oh, they will. I'm really glad Teddy and Addie get along so well."

„Darling?" Sirius appeared in the kitchen. „I put the extra table out, so we're good."

I smiled. „Thank you, love."

He was at my side in an instant. „Let me carry that pie for you, it seems heavy."

„I'm good, really, you'd help me more by carrying some of these coffee cans."

Sirius was still the sweet husband he had proved to be during my first pregnancy. I would obviously just use magic to carry the cakes and pies, but he would always offer help and watch me as if I was in danger somehow. I loved the attention, really.

„Mommy, where is the food?" Adhara had appeared in the doorway as well. „I'm soooo hungry."

„We're ready, sweetheart," I said.

Sirius picked her up as she cheered and with her blue dress and the dark, wavy hair she'd inherited from her father, she looked far too cute. Apparently, he thought the same, because he gave me a wide grin and then we walked outside to the other guests.

Our garden was crowded and I knew we'd need the other cakes in the kitchen as well to feed all these people. Everyone cheered when we arrived with the huge birthday cakes.

„That looks lovely!" Molly said.

„Caaake," Teddy and Addie sung together.

Of course she was the first one to get her piece and after an hour, we finally had stilled everyone's hunger. We were talking and making use of the first warm spring days of the year by making a small fire. It was still surreal to live in peace now as the wizarding world slowly rebuilt itself and recovered from the war.

That we had managed to create a peaceful life for ourselves was something I would forever be grateful for.

Addie was currently playing with Teddy and Harry, collecting sticks for some marshmallow roasting. Sirius's eyes always lit up when he saw how well Harry and her got along, especially since our relationship with Harry was very close now. He and Ginny came over almost every weekend and usually we'd invite Remus, Tonks and Teddy over for dinner as well.
