Like any other day Kasey wakes up with a chill touch and enveloping warmth of his lovers arms close. The lights slit through the windows into the mahogany furniture and beige mix walls. It was always neat with how things were in this house. Even a stranger would know where things were without thinking second thoughts. Every color matched. Every piece placed where it was meant to be.
Not giving into time the Lady of the house flips over the comforter and stretches lightly in the dark nightwear. Kasey turning around to look at this moment was always his favorite memory of his everyday. Repetitive for the past 5 years.
Jane, like a cliche love novel ties her hair back smiling believing this life was godsend, goes back to meet Kasey's mystified eyes and comes to greet him with a gentle kiss. Then she heads down to prepare for the day.
It was always like this. They were perfect, no one questioned, no one wondered. There were no secrets. No curses and no everlasting pains. Like everyone, if you met them you'd start to believe in fairy tales. Kasey had the job he always wanted at digital art design and works whenever and however he wants. The freedom to be free and to do what he loved. Jane too follows bringing him to work along in the car and dropping him off. She heads her own way back to a small office near home where she has a small business of different arts; the design of living spaces ranging from modern classy to open space and gardening.
They've been together since college. They had similar tastes but they were ultimately very different people. Kasey grew up strict as the youngest child, he always had to follow the foot steps of his over achieving family. He found his own path and excelled in it. He always took every step of life as something to improve. Other than the actual career it was technically a desk job. he committed himself into work outs and even self taught self defense. He was a quiet person despite all this and since childhood he loved reading too. His wife on the other hand grew up an only child and was spoiled. Given everything she wants she had to bring forth her own upbringing. Her parents were always working and travelling left her with a lot of free time. Meaning her friends are those that she met and the relationships it made. She treasured the human nature the most. She was wealthy and she knew how to use it wisely. She didn't live lavishly but some considered her a saint of sorts. She never needed anything until she considered Kasey. And they both clicked like magic. Like any love story it was pretty good to look at from a close perspective.
For reasons unknown, not even to me the writer, far beyond the realm of pen and paper, destiny had a way to declare that death was always a turning point to which people say whether it reaches your soul or not. Like a psychopath only death can provide the closest sensation to living. And by the same theory. Life isn't always the way we want it to be. We can only ever wish to live with good intentions. And give happiness to those we meet along the way.
The two souls that live happily with the world they've always dreamed of was already at the palm of their hands. Believing that no matter what happens even if the world ends and the kingdom they've built together falls, the king and queen should rule always together hand in hand. With those feelings of youth and power in every moment. One could say they could die happy. If only one would say maybe.
Kasey, Jane, cracking their fingers at the desk again, fidgeting art tools and numbers and notes they stare at the time hoping to meet each other again tonight. The love wasn't such puppy love that it felt like they only had each other in this world. They said goodbye to their colleagues. Made a few jokes along the way and some kisses on the cheeks. They've talked about each other their lives and everything you bet would have been meaningful to them in this world. Kasey and Jane would miss this very moments of small words of honesty and simple gestures this day.
Jane comes home first and immediately preps a quick steak dinner with baked potatoes. She had plans as always. Being the more organized between the two she always had a plan. Every time it was always Jane as the more affectionate one and shes okay with that. Everyone knew she was the bubbly expressive sunshine that she is. Kasey too was on the way home that night. He liked being independent as much as enjoying his alone time. Featuring a stoic gentlemanly persona he was always envied for being different from "Boys will be boys" type of man. He had strong morals and tonight he wanted to surprise Jane. Kasey liked creativity. Hence his job. But more than anything he knew that Jane will be surprised that he would have done something out of the ordinary for once. On the way home he picked a box with a rainbow ribbon all on top and left.
It was the end of the week. Kasey comes home through the door greeted by candles and dim orange lights at the back of the living room. To the left Jane smiling ecstatically, beckoning him for a kiss.
"Miss you! Also you brought a surprise? Seriously? This is like weird of you haha." She says with confused brow.
"It is! but don't open it. Let's do it after dinner. Besides I want to talk about something later." Jane pulls an even more concerned confused face. "Alright then! if this is about our mini vacation trip tomorrow then I'm telling you since we've talked about this over so many times I have it all planned out" They both get seated, eating down laughing over the plans on visiting London and checking certain museums and food spots. They had everything together. The happiness they had without each other was nothing compared to what can be shared.
Winding down the weary bodies and mind. Life calls in a favor sometimes. Jane starts taking the plates to the sink and while Kasey turns up to head to the bathroom, she starts following him, closely. Like two wolves in the night pieces of clothing hit the floor and with a tick of light, the bathroom comes lit with Kasey entering in his undergarments. Jane feeling like the fox that she is slides her dress down and sneaks in and opens the frosted glass slider. The steam burying the sound of passionate kissing and breathing left the two in a tireless night for their trip tomorrow.
Time...
...nearly 3 past midnight and the moon blazing across the sky. A voice. A sound. Breathing of someone watching and waiting, something is coming.

FantasyA warning. This is definitely not a happy story And likewise it's normal human behavior to always believe and imagine that one day we wish to wake up in a new world with the things you wanted. Money. Powers. Fame. Literally anything. Sadly I don't...
