"Don't worry about it. We can sit together next time." He replied with a small smile.
"Promise?" She questioned as she nervously bit her lip. She always found herself making pointless promises to the green haired man. He had never broken a promise before, so she used it to her advantage. She didn't understand how bad his depression was, but it was comforting that she knew he wasn't going anywhere when he made promises.
"I promise." He replied with a sad smile before making his way to the back of the room. He eventually found himself standing in front of Todoroki with an anxious stomach. "Hey guys!" He said with excitement as he used his best acting skills he could. "Mind if I sit here?" He questioned with a wide smile.
"Not at all." Todoroki replied in a monotone voice. Midoriya nervously cast a glance towards his child hood friend, waiting for an answer.
"Tch." The blonde spat before turning his head away from Midoriya. The green haired man knew that was the closest thing to an approval he was going to get. The blonde paid him no attention as he sat down. Nobody had really noticed, but the blonde had been a lot more kind to Midoriya lately. Of course he still picked on him, but he kept it to a minimum. He knew the freckled man his entire life, so he knew when something was wrong. He knew he had always struggled with depression and anxiety, so he knew the signs for when it got bad. This is the worst Bakugo had seen it in all the years he had known him.
"Let's get this movie started!" Ashido yelled as she turned the lights off, leaving the T.V. to light the room. Everyone wore smiles as she pressed play, starting the movie. Midoriya however, hadn't paid attention to a single thing since he had taken his seat. His mind was racing in a million different directions and he was struggling to pay attention to anything. He grabbed his phone from his pocket, quickly dimming the brightness before pulling open google. He began looking into Universities. He had no clue what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Trying to piece it together was hell, but it gave him a little hope for the future.
He thought about going for simple things like basic drawing at a nearby school, but he couldn't find a school within a 30 minute train ride from his mom that he liked. He wanted to look forward to the future, not detest it. He was really trying to stay close to home for his mom. He was everything to her and be couldn't bear to cause her pain like that.
"Watch the damn movie idiot." Bakugo spat as he gently pushed Midoriya's phone into his lap. "You can take one night off from worrying yourself sick." He spat quietly before turning his attention back to the T.V.. Of course Bakugo was harsh, but deep down, Midoriya knew that he cared. The green haired man let out a heavy sigh as he turned his attention back towards the movie. He had no clue what they had put in. He clearly wasn't paying any attention, so he didn't know what was happening. As soon as his eyes focused, there was an immediate jump scare that caused him to let out a small squeal of terror. He immediately clapped his hand over his mouth in embarrassment.
He slowly looked around the room, silently praying nobody heard him. The last thing he needed was for someone to laugh at him. Today had been rough as it is, he didn't need any adding factors. He sighed in relief when nobody was looking towards him. The only weird thing was the blonde sitting next to him. He wore a pout while his cheeks were tinted pink. He looked past him to see Kirishima whispering something in his ear.
I wonder what they're talking about.. Midoriya mumbled to himself as he turned his attention back towards the movie. He wanted to pay attention and have fun, but his mind wouldn't let him. He couldn't stop thinking about his future and how he was going to survive it. Plus, the squirming angry blonde next to him wasn't helping.
"Fuck off Shitty Hair!" The blonde yelled before shoving himself from the floor and storming towards the elevator. Everyone watched him stomp away before turning to Kirishima.
"What happened?" Ashido questioned with a groan.
"I was just teasing him about something that happened last weak." The red head replied with a laugh. He was the only person brave enough to pick on the fiery blonde.
"About what?" Ashido questioned with excitement. She loved hearing all the juicy details about the class.
"Sorry, my lips are sealed." Kirishima replied before bringing his hand to his mouth, zipping and locking it with an imaginary key.
"Your no funnn!" The pinkette whined before turning back to the movie.
What could have been that bad that Kaachan would storm away like that? Midoriya questioned to himself as he began pushing himself from the ground slowly.
"You okay Midoriya?" Todoroki questioned as the green haired man stood from his seat.
No. "Yes, I'm going to check on Kaachan." He replied before swiftly maneuvering through the students. He knew he was getting worried or weird looks, but he didn't care. Even if he didn't do to much social interaction, he was drained from just leaving his room. He sluggishly made his way towards the elevator before hitting the level four button. He knew Bakugo was going to slam the door in his face, but he had to at least try. I can just tell everyone I was tired and went to bed after talking to Kaachan. Midoriya thought to himself as the doors slid open with a quiet ding. He slowly moved through the halls that he knew by heart before landing in front of his childhood friends door. He slowly brought his hand up to the door, letting out a sigh as he hesitantly knocked.
He waited a few seconds before knocking again, a little louder than the last time. He tried to listen for shuffling on the other side of the door, but the rooms were pretty much sound proof. He let a frown form across his face as he turned to retreat down the hallway. He never made it due to the fact that the door had ripped open.
"What do you want Shitty Nerd?" Bakugo spat as he watched the green haired man nervously turn towards him.
"I just came to see if you were okay." Midoriya whispered as he looked to the ground, avoiding Bakugo's gaze. The blonde glared at the man in front of him before letting out a deep sigh. He knew Midoriya was going through something. Even if he was an asshole, he wasn't a merciless asshole.
"Shitty Hair saw something he shouldn't have seen and won't stop bugging me about it." He replied with a growl. Midoriya looked up to the man in shock. It wasn't often Bakugo actually opened up and talked to somebody about how he was feeling.
"What did he see?" Midoriya questioned as his body began to relax. Bakugo didn't answer right away. He took a small step into the hallways and looked both directions, confusing the freckled man in front of him. The blonde sighed before taking a step back into his room, holding the door open for Midoriya to enter. All hell must have broken loose; Katsuki Bakugo was letting someone in.
