It shook I looked outside Ratchet had fallen and he took the power lines with him this night was not going well at all "Sam! Alexia!" my parents yelled. I ran to the bathroom the door was locked "Damn it Sam" me and Sam have a shared bathroom and we had a method of locking the door.

I ran out to Sam's door my parents were there Dad had a bat and two flashlights in his hand "One more chance. Five..." Dad said "Oh, dear" Mom said "Dad don't count" I said

"Four. It's coming off the hinges, pal" Dad said "He's counting! Sam, just open the door" Mom said

"Three"

"Oh, my"

"Two"

"He's counting"

"Stand back. Alexia open the door" then the door opened "What's up? What's with the bat?" Sam said "Who were you talking to?" Dad asked "I'm talking to you" "Why are you so sweaty and filthy?" Mom asked "He's a child. You know, a teenager" I said

Sam gave me a look "We heard voices and noises and we thought maybe you were-" Mom said "Yeah, it doesn't matter what we thought. What was that light?" Dad asked 

"No, what light? What? There's no light, Dad! There's no light!" Sam yelled and we walked in "The light!" Dad said said "You got two lights in your hand! That's what it is" Sam said

"There was light under the door" 

"No, maybe it bounced- look, you can't- you can't just bounce into my room like that. You got to knock. You got to communicate" 

"We did- We knocked for five minutes" 

"I'm a teenager" 

"We knocked!" Mom said

"You didn't knock. You were screaming at me, okay? Then you were going to make Lexi knock my door down" Sam said "No" Mom said 

"This is repression, what you're doing here. You're ruining my youth, okay?" "Oh, for Pete's sakes! You are so defensive! Were you... masturbating?" "Mom!" I yelled "Judy" Dad said

I looked away "Oh god" I said "Was I mastur- No, Mom!" Sam said "Zip it, okay?" Dad said "It's okay" Mom said "No, I don't masturbate!" Sam yelled 

"Please stop talking about it or I'm going to gag right here" I said "That's not something for you to bring up. That's a father-and-son thing, okay?" Dad said "I mean-" Mom said

"Father-son thing" Sam said "You don't have to call it that word if that makes you uncomfortable. You can call it... Sam's happy time or-" Mom said 

"Happy time?" Sam said "My special alone time..." "Make her stop" I said "Stop" Dad said "Mom. You-" Sam said "Judy, stop" Dad said "With myself" Mom continued

I kept shaking my head "Please stop" I kept saying "Mom, you can't come in and-" Sam said "I'm sorry. It's just been a weird night. I've had a little bit to drink" Mom said. Dad kept walking "No, no, Dad" Sam said 

"Yeah, well, we saw a light. I don't know where it was, but we saw it" then it started shaking once again just great who fell this time. Dad ran into a tub "Earthquake! It's another one! Another earthquake! Get in the doorway!" Dad yelled "Okay!" Mom yelled "Aftershock! Aftershock! Oh, I hate these"

"Hey, the lights are back on. Come on, get out of that tub" Mom said "Can't you take safety seriously?" Dad said "Good Lord, this floor is filthy, Sam". Dad walked to the window I walked to him 

"Oh. Oh, no! Look at the yard. The yard is destroyed. Sheesh! Judy? Better call the city. We got a blown transformer! Power pole's sparking all over the place! Aw, man. Yard's a waste. Trashed. Gone. It's a wash. The whole yard" Dad said. I backed up "You're kidding" Mom said

I went to Sam "Glasses or backpack are not in my room" I said he shook his head "We heard you talking to somebody, Sam. We wanna know who" Mom said "Mom, I- I told y-" then Mikaela stood up "Hi. I'm Mikaela. I'm a- I'm a friend of Sam's and Alexia's" she said. I smiled and tried to act normal

Mom started laughing "Gosh, you're gorgeous. Isn't that the prettiest girl?" "Oh. Son- Wow" Dad said and they fist bumped "I can't with you guys" I said "She can hear you talking, Mom" Sam said "Thank you" Mikaela said

"Oh, my goodness. I'm sorry you had to hear our little family discussion about this-" Mom said "Sorry that we're bugging you" Dad said "Backpack- do you have my backpack, ma?" Sam asked "Come on, hon. Let's go" Dad said "Oh, it's in the kitchen" Mom said.

We ran down and finally found the glasses. I cheered "Thanks the lord" I said "Your mom's so nice" Mikaela said "I want you two distract my parents while I slip out and get these glasses to them, okay?" Sam said "What not me. I'm also the key to saving the world Idiot" I said

We heard talking so we walked to the living room and there were guys in suits everywhere. My mind went straight to the Autobots who were just walking around the yard "What is this?" Sam asked "How you doing, son? Is your name Sam? And your Alexia?" the guy asked "Yeah" me and Sam said

"Well, I need you two to come with us" he said "What?" Mom said "Whoa, way out of line" Dad said "Sir, I am asking politely. Back off" the guy said "You're not taking my son or my daughter" Dad said

"Really? You gonna try to get rough with us?" the guy said "No, but I'm gonna call the cops because there's something fishy going on around here" 

"Yeah. There's something a little fishy about you, your son, your hot daughter, and your little Taco Bell dog and this whole operation you got going on here" he said "What operation?" Dad asked "Hot what?" I snapped. Who does this guy think he is calling me hot

"That is what we are gonna find out" another guy in a suit went up to him and said something in his ear "Son? Young lady?" he asked "Yeah" Sam said 

"Step forward, please" "Just stand?" I asked and he put this thingy over us and it started beeping like crazy "Fourteen rads. Bingo! Tag them and bag them!" he said.
