A sudden tap on my shoulder shook me out of my thoughts. I glanced up at Dakota who smiled and gave me a nod. I looked to Raven and Megan who gave me similar looks. It was time. We all stood up and collected our things. We nonchalantly meandered over to the stage area and quickly slipped though the barrier. We tossed our bags in the corner and plugged in our gear. We strummed a few chords as quietly as we could, which was drowned out by the loud voices filling the cafeteria anyways. Then we all straightened ourselves up and walked to our spots. I could see the crowd behind the shimmering barrier. They were chatting away completely oblivious as to what was about to happen. I took a deep breath and turned my mic on.

"Hey." I looked to my right and Dakota gave me a reassuring smile. "Just play as awesomely as you did at the Welcome Back Banquet. Trust me, you got this." I smiled and nodded my head. It was almost time to go. Anthony planned on us performing at twelve thirty, the height of the lunch hour and when the cafeteria was most crowded. I swallowed.

"What song should we play?" I asked right after Anthony had explained to me what a pop up performance was.

"Well I'd like you guys to start coming up with more original work, but I understand with the sudden notice it would be impossible to write a new song and then learn how to play it. So I'm leaving it up to you. No old songs, we're moving past the mediocrity of Skrull. Do a cover of your choosing."

The gang had let me come up with the song since I would be the one singing it. They told me to choose whatever piece I felt most comfortable with. Truth is I didn't know which one to use until we were sitting around the club room not really doing anything one day and Megan started playing a Taylor Swift song. I wasn't a huge fan of her music, but liked the lyrics and felt them resonate with me. They seemed fitting given the situation I was in so I chose to do a cover of her song Blank Space.

"Are you serious? A Taylor Swift song?" Dakota exasperated.

"Now hear me out." I began and picked up my guitar. I played the first few notes of the song and began to sing. When I was done with taste tester Raven and Megan were on board.

"Yes let's do it!" Megan chimed. Dakota was still unconvinced, but when we had put it all together he was singing a different tune.

"Dude if we can make a pop song this badass there's no way people aren't going to love us." He smirked.

And so here we are. I swallowed and took a few calming breaths. From the other side of the barrier I watched Anthony stand up. He gave us all a thumbs up and snapped his finger. The shimmering before my eyes faded and I knew the barrier was gone. Some people immediately noticed us, but the majority of the cafeteria still continued their idle prattle. Mimi set the camera up on her shoulder and gave us the go sign. I glanced around to my counterparts and saw everyone was ready. Alright, here we go.

AN: Awesome cover by Sea Swallowed Us Whole on the side :) again imagine the epicness that is Undecided playing ;) hehe check it out!

Dakota began to pluck away on his guitar strings, bringing in the intro. The sound stabbed through the noise of the cafeteria and heads began to turn. I took a deep breath and soon all of us were playing.

"Nice to meet you, Where you been?

I can show you incredible things

Magic, Madness, Heaven, Sin

Saw you there and I thought

Oh my God

Look at that face, you look like my next mistake
